Growing up on an island surrounded by the warm Indian Ocean, from a young age, Willow spent every waking hour on the water.
Learning how to surf was one thing. but the limitations of surfing rely on one thing and one thing only; Waves.
Willow quickly found himself seeking out other water sports to maximize his time on the water… Kitesurfing, hydro-foiling, stand-up paddling and wing-foiling created him into the passionate water man he is today.

Can SURFING Change The WORLD? | Supporting a Local Hero in MADAGASCAR
A bit over a year ago I created a concept called "Surf2Serve", a not for profit organisation dedicated to helping get more people onto the water and enjoy surfing. Through incredible efforts and donations from the kite community, Core Kiteboarding and myself, we managed to collect a bunch of Kite, surf, wing equipment and wetsuits which we donated to a local hero Michel Zafa, from the north of Madagascar in Sakalava bay.
My mission is to inspire you to go out and support organisations in your local communities. Whether it is by donating money, volunteering time, or even supporting with used but not being used equipment. No matter the sport, be it be surfing, kitesurfing, running, cycling, soccer etc. There are so many people in the world that will appreciate it beyond our imagination.
Together, let's be an inspiration to get people out doors, into the ocean, the lakes or the mountains. Sports truly have the power to change the world, so lets do just that!

Crucial tip which is a must : never flip the wing when on the board but before, in the water flipping the ear of the wing, much easier. When on on the board on knees is the unstable moment, I try make it as short as possible. I flip the wing in the water, grab the board, get on my knees and as fast as possible put the wing in the air to get stability then up and take off ! 🤙🏻

this is my 4th season on a foil, winging and down winding. i come from a surfing and windsurfing background. i can say that without a doubt, even for experts in other disciplines, SUP foiling down wind is ridiculously hard. i have a foil drive now, and it's STILL hard.
It’s crazy! I definitely wouldn’t have thought it would be so difficult! The foil drive looks like a great tool to get started in the beginning, would love to give it a go!

As a beginner, this might be the best video I stumbled across. Most vids advocate a side on but I found I was already off balance and fighting the waves. This into the wind and then twisting 90 is a game changer. Thanks dude! I’d love to see some more tip vids from you.
