I OFFERED HIM A DRINK, WHICH HE DECLINED WITH THANKS, THEN A CAR ROLLED UP WITH A YOUNG COUPLE IN IT, AND HE MADE HIS EXCUSES AND JOINED THEM, AND OFF THEY WENT. AFTER THE SHOCK OF HIS DEATH, I BOUGHT A BOOK OF HIS BIOGRAPHY, AND WAS SHOCKED TO LEARN THAT HE HATED PERFORMING IN FRONT OF LARGE AUDIENCES , BECAUSE HE HAD UNCONTROLLABLE STAGE FEAR . HOW ON EARTH DID HE MANAGE TO APPEAR SO CALM AND CONFIDENT ?

I do not remember Wilfred pickles in the film Billy liar. But I have to say I was only a little kid when I first saw the film. I am enjoying watching the 1970s TV series For the love of Ada. On the TV channel talking pictures TV. With the lovely actress Irene Handl, reminds me of my mum so much. Irene and Wilfred are perfectly matched in this delightful comedy from the 1970s. As are the other actors in this series, I look forward to watching this series puts a smile on my face and laughter. I would love to know if Wilfred did any more TV acting.?

Use to watch him in the 70's fighting Big Daddy and later as a tag team with Big Daddy. Loved the wrestling on a Saturday. After my brother and I had finished watching the wrestling, we would go in the garden and reinact the fights. 😂

Actually he passed out on the couch and his girlfriend saw him sleeping on the couch the next morning and didn't think anything of it until little while later same position and he hadn't moved at all...then she called the Paramedics and Police...They said he had been dead for a while....how sad...

So tragic that a much loved and brilliant performer has been practically forgotten. Disgusting the film and television industry haven’t even bothered to pay for a head stone. Also tragic was that so few people were at her funeral.
