Is it difficult to take the quad apart for powder coat?
I will say no not at all however it depends on your skill set. Machines come natural to me. But I would ask is it hard to create an excel spreadsheet. And for me it would be. 😅
@PowerLineRacing87 thanks, ive taken cars apart and done motor swaps I think I can do it, I'm guessing plastics, harness, drain coolant, pull motor n Trans then suspension, arms and rear end leave axle in sound correct?
@@pnwatv5094 yah it depends on how deep you want to go. Like if you want to powder coat the swing arm you’ll have to fully disassemble the axle, carrier and pivot bolt bearings/sleeves.
Need one.
Yah! It’s a blast!
Whaylt steering stem is that and is it +2😊
Yo, this the Houser Racing steering stem. It’s a +1. It looks extra tall because the Urmosi 720SBC bar clamp is a fairly tall unit.
Trying to decide between the forex visionair intake or trash panda. Any input?
I would say the Trash Panda will work very well and likely be easy to install being that it’s rubber and will flex a bit between frame and rear shock. It retains the factory air box which is good for filter concealment if that’s important to you. You can also run pre filter lids if you wanted. I’m sure it’s splitting hairs but the internal volume of the VisionAir is likely a bit larger due to the very thin but strong and light weight carbon fiber vs the rubber Trash Panda intake. The VisionAir is going to be lighter overall but it is definitely a bling piece in many ways. It looks amazing, fits well. Was a little bit of a chore installing and it’s a wide open box. Lots of pluses and minuses. Depends on how you’ll be riding. I will definitely be buying the VisionAir again for my next build! 🤙🏽⚡️ Good luck!
Ouch. You were awful calm about it
Haha ya it was alright. Just disappointed I couldn’t have made that pass and catch up to you! 😂
Work of art 🎨
I separated my shoulder. Was not very fun at all. Rear shock on my KTM 450 started packing going through the whoops. Sent me over the bar.
Yah it’s a bit challenging getting dressed for work. 😂
@PowerLineRacing87 it will take a couple of months. Really don't want to push it , or will become longer 😕
@@PowerLineRacing87 it is a slow heal...
how much in total
High 20s
the yellow coolant hoses look insane. Looking at your quad makes me want to get into racing
Thank you! It rides as good as it looks. The PEP shocks, Roll Design A-arms and Walsh swing arm are unreal. 🔥 Do you fly helicopters?
@@PowerLineRacing87 I do, for a living. I grew up with a banshee, rode it at tracks, Now I just do dirtbikes, but would love to get a yzf450r.
@@nastysoda9212 So cool. I use to be a commercial helicopter pilot! Yah the Banshees are wild! You will love the YFZ450R. It’s such a fun machine!
Why the KTM throttle body over the RP? Great looking machine btw.
Hey thank you! Ya know I didn’t necessarily buy the KTM throttle body for any specific reason other than it was the more common TB upgrade on the national builds. Now though all the pros are switching to the RP. We have the 45mm RP TB on the 2010 YFZ. It works great and got solid numbers on the dyno while paired with the RP intake, exhaust and Vortex. One difference between the KTM TB from Wienen Motorsports and the RP is that the KTM comes fully built. When you buy the RP you have strip down your stock TB and use the TPS, Fuel rail, injector throttle cable cam… No big deal, just nice to know. KTM is like $1200 and the 45mm RP is $620.
Cool 🤙💛
That dirt looks really good. Nice track.
Yah man HornRapids is an awesome track! I’m bummed our series’s only hits it once a season. I gotta start clearing all the jumps. Haha
@PowerLineRacing87 clearing jumps is a time thing. I always perfected the table tops first and then would send it on the same size doubles.
This is so cool 🤙🙌💛
Thank you! Can’t wait for you to join!
Smooth!
Nice rides!
So this is good example, at the 5 minute mark the guy Infront of you should have stayed wide. Instead he went inside, gave it to much gas drifted to the outside and got a little sideways. Stay in the fluff on the outside and keep the traction going. Great riding love the videos.
Thank you! The new setup is so nice. Thank you so much for recommending the PEPs. Appreciate your words of wisdom! Looking forward to the next race.
I have been a round a few races and always trying to learn more
Good race, that Suzuki slowed you down a little to much
Thanks! Yah rewatching I’m not sure what I was doing. I could have slide around him instead of chase him. New camera mount on order. That chin mount just isn’t cutting it.
Nice looking quads!
What brand are your wrap around hand gaurds...bikes beautiful
Thank you! It rides even better than it looks. The hand guards are the Cycra Ultra Pro Bend CRM.
I just put my Urmosi bar mounts on my YFZ and love them.
Awesome
How do you like the Urmossi bar mounts? I just got mine. Gonna do a short video on them. First impressions
I love mine. This is my 3rd season with them. Never had any issues and I really like how well they absorb all the impacts. Will have all 3 quads outfitted with them soon. 🤙🏽⚡️
@@PowerLineRacing87 nice.
Please, the sound RP RACE.
Totally, I can put up a video of it. I’ll do a live comparison of The RP Race Pro vs the RP Race standard and The Dasa shorty. 🤙🏾⚡️
That camera angle is cool. I just bought my first gopro. I'm gonna try this.
Haha yah it’s definitely a cool view. Works pretty well just make sure you have a good connection/setup for the GoPro and maybe a tether. That weekend at Washougal I had it break off twice but I think it was an issue with fitment (GoPro built in mount) and tightening the clamp down too hard. Moving forward I will only use the protective GoPro case.
@@PowerLineRacing87 I can see whoops causing problems with the camera mount. Florida is full of whoops.
@@Floridawoodsbanshee just be mindful of using the mounting tabs built into the GoPro. Use an external case. The built in fold out connection point on the GoPro have a slimmer design and when you really tighten down the screw it will deform the receiving connection causing it to break.
@PowerLineRacing87 Thank you for sharing. I did not know and would have probably overtighend it. Especially because of all the whoops 🤣 My bike was originally set up for MX. But this time, I'm doing XC. Florida has awesome trails
@@Floridawoodsbanshee haha yah man of course! Good luck and have fun.
This bike is a solid build. I just installed my Urmossi bar clamps. It they perform as well as they look, I will be stoked. My factory edition thumb throttle should arrive tomorrow. I need to make a video on the Urmossi products.
Thanks man! I’ve been very happy with the Urmosi bar clamp. Got them on a few quads now. They have held up well and I like the complete damping they provide. The Urmosi throttle is awesome too. Very comfortable, smooth and high quality. The adjustability is great. 🤙🏽⚡️
@@PowerLineRacing87 nice to know. I'm close to completing my banshee build. Will be putting out some riding content soon
SICK 😎
Thanks!
Why is finding a bumper for these models a pain in the ass, I keep finding Raptor 700r bumpers
Could be where you’re looking. A search on Ebay will show you products from Alba, Tusk, Pro Armor, HMF, XFR, NICECNC. You can also check out Houser Racing, Factory 43 and Rath Racing. The last two are going to be the bumpers that you would see most commonly on the race track. Good luck!
That YFZ 450 is so mean💪🏾💯🔥
Thanks dude!
I ride 2 wheels now but grew up on quads. I can appreciate a nice build when I see one…and this is one. 👏🏻
Thanks! It was certainly a labor of love. I grew up on dirt bikes then switched to quads. Haha
Excellent looking build! Exited to see it in action
Thank you Robert! I really love the SBC720 Soft bar clamp and Factory Edition throttle. Currently in the process of outfitting our other YFZs with them.
How much hp on this ? Gotta be close to 60 ish with all those mods
The numbers are pretty tame. 31 torque and 47hp. There are no internal mods and I’m running 98 Octane. Currently installed, RP race Pro full exhaust, Vortex ECU, Fourwerx VisionAir intake and Wienen Motorsports KTM throttle body. With these parts I get a reasonable performance increase with smooth linear power and am setup to start doing internal mods in the future. (Stock YFZ450R 38~ hp and 28~ torque)
Freaking sick man. Let’s see a ride vid!
Thank you! I’ll have some ride footage up soon.
That quad belongs in a museum or art exhibit. Nice work! I know how much effort goes into this level of build
Haha, thank you. 🤙🏽⚡️
Some great shots of the track, going to have to do this again.
hey, how is the RC-8 on your YFZ450R? I put the "Pro Taper Profile Pro Clutch Perch" but doesnt fit right. is like slipping the clutch. I have it with the little adjutable wheel all the way out almost to the point of going out looking for another option. the YFZ450R is not listed on ARC as "compatible" but that can just be bad website documentation. let us know thanks
I am still building and have not finished my clutch lever setup yet. So I cannot speak to the RC-8 however if you have made all the adjustments you can on the perch, have you tried adjusting the clutch cable its self? There are adjustments midway on the cable beneath the gas tank.
So I’ve been running it for a while now and I have to say it is amazing! Pull is easy and smooth. 🤙🏾⚡️
The proper terminology is resonance chamber ✅ NOT reverberation chamber 🚫
Dang Marty hand know where to go. 2 for one is a great pass.
Haha yah that was a good one.
Might have to run my camera down there a afraid I will knock it off.
I like this perspective a lot. I think I know why my camera broke off twice that weekend. The built in mounting tabs on the 11 are spaced slightly wider so I think when I tighten down the lock nut I stressed the mount and then they snapped off after some hard core rattling. I hope you noticed that missed shift off the gate… 🙄
haha you know I did @@PowerLineRacing87
Um this will make you slower. I'll take it off your hands.
HAHAHAHA I’ll let you borrow it bud!
Super jealous. I'd love to try one of these.
Love to see how that looks on the bike, I like to 2 brake lines
Good video
Thanks
Nice bro.👏🤍🏍️
Coolest I ever seen 🥰💛🤙
This is a cool angle. Its cool to see the suspension in action.
Yah I saw it once in an old ATV video so I thought I’d give it a try.
Looks like a blast!
