Ok you inspired me and gave that kick to put the work in. I have two little kids. 1 and 2,5 years old. As you can image the last 4 years I was pregnant or breast feeding. Now slowly I get myself back. Had energy and healthy issues. Always wanted to make my balcony ready and pretty. On the next weekend it will have warm Temperatur. So ….. I will do my work outside. 😊 thank you.

I also try to grow tomatoes from seeds. But in this boxes I had mold. Although it was near the window. Also i have no greenhouse. To keep warm. And right now we still could have low temperature. So heating daytime and colder at night …. The seeds didn’t grow very well. Also eggplant and zucchini and cucumber.

But it’s just for rent, I can’t remove the backyard and build something for the vegetable and fruit. So I do my best to grow tomatoes in pots near the house. And other things in the balcony. Did you know that peppers are perennials and you can overwinter or even grow them inside? Peppers, and especially chili peppers, grow very slowly and if you have a short warm period they might not mature before the frost comes. I move my peppers inside in late autumn. To avoid pests, I change the potting soil, trim the branches and roots, and remove the leaves. Then I keep them inside near a window and water them when the soil dries. They start to grow new leaves very fast and my snack pepper has even started to produce flowers. I want it to grow bigger so I remove the flowers, but you can even grow peppers inside. You just have to hand pollinate them. Once spring comes and the last frost date passes, I move them outside and let them flower. The jalapeno pepper that I kept inside last winter produced more fruits in the second year than in the first.
