How do you stop Leukoplakia
It depends on what caused it. Can be as simple as removing the cause of it.
@@dentalbasics7122 once you get it the only way to get rid of it is surgery right
Thank you mam
Thank you too .Do let me know any topic you want to be explained 😊
Stess anxiety and some medcines are the true reason and i believe stress is number one factor
Parotid is supplied by great auricular nerve...... and not temporal branch
Timing-16:07. Please note -Auriculo temporal nerve GIVES OUT BRANCHES to the Parotid Gland that are sensory & secretomotor Parotid Gland FASCIA is supplied by Greater auricular Nerve.

How do you treat skin lichen planus
Please go to a dermatologist & seek their advice. Also you know your body best ,so you may try to figure out the cause starting from the time when your skin rashes appeared. Basic treatment should be same since it involves the body as whole.
Thanks for making the nice video 😊
Thank you for your feed back ,it helps to keep going 😊
Hello madam. Trigeminal ganglion is a part of CNS or PNS? Does trigeminal neurons have regenerative capacity? Thank you madam.

When you say slow healing……do we just have to wait? Does nothing help? I’m at around 15 months.
15 months is just correct slow & you should definitely be able to confirm improvement if the treatment is effective
You may also try homeopathy which is an alternative medicine . You may google & read more about it .

I started vit A two weeks ago I’m not sure if it is helping but I am getting some improvement.
I’m seeking my own healing. I’ll report if I find anything. Today I bought vit A I’ll see if that helps. I have to believe it will heal eventually. Good luck and be strong.
Did vit A help ???
I doubt it . I took it for a few weeks nothing remarkable . I’m currently on a steroid and antibiotic for a sinus infection. A bit better but I’m off the steroid tomorrow. I’ll keep trying.
I have come across many explanation videos since exams are around the corner, but really your animations and slides are amazing, almost made me wish I had a teacher like you who made such efforts into making the concept simple. Thank you so much Doc!
Thanks dear 😊. All the best for your exams
How does lichens planus heal I’ve had it for a year
Heals slowly .Healing is relatively faster in the mouth than in the body
Im waiting patiently, I try different things but I can’t say anything speeds it along.@@dentalbasics7122

More informative than my dermatologist who had the bedside manner of a plank, and has prescribed corticosteroids, which as I understand it, do not help. I started with oral lichen planus 3 months ago, then came some very itchy spots on my hands, and now the rash is all over my body except my face. My husband died 10 months ago, and this condition on top of the lonely grief is making me seriously consider suicide. Update: I am kind of getting used to it now. I saw my dentist today, and he said he thinks I have oral planus, but looking at my skin rash, he said it did not look like Lichen Planus to him, and i should see my dermatologist again. Along with other symptoms I have, he thinks it could be Lupus. I don't look forward to seeing the same Dermatologist, though. She made the diagnosis very quickly and was quite abrupt. Maybe my GP will let see another dermatologist. I'm in France by the way.
I am sorry for your loss. Oral corticosteroids are the best solution to possible quick relief . You have already written the probable cause - grief ,stress, loneliness . Get out of your house, get a dog ,go for walk join yoga class. Continue medicine if you believe they are making a difference. Stay strong.
@@dentalbasics7122 I go for walks with the dog from the farm next door, and I have two cats. I do get out and go for walks, but I have chronic pain, so I'm not really benefitting from it. I don't want to be around people just now. Thanks for your kind advice. x
So sorry, it’s awful

Which doctor should be consulted for oral lichen planus..? Please reply... Im a malayali...
Anjana hi,u can consult a dentist who has specialized in "ORAL MEDICINE" -u may google "the best Dentist near me " or even go to any dental college near you . Alternately you may also try homeopathic medicines -if you believe in them. If you are in Kerala,-ayurveda is natural. Try & go with what works for you . You can start with English medicine for faster relief.

My last dermatologist diagnosed oral lichen planus as I had had a severe outbreak on my hands and feet previously. The skin not only blistered but the skin peeled off. Took a while to get under control. Have not had a recurrence on my skin. The condition in my mouth I’ve had since 2015. Mostly my tongue is affected the worst. It literally feels scalded and will actually swell up. I believe I have both Oral lichen planus and burning mouth/tongue syndrome. Not only has this hindered my ability to eat, but also to brush my teeth properly. My teeth are In horrible shape after yrs of this condition. I am not happy with my current dermatologist and will be looking for an oral surgeon or perhaps an ENT. I have recently started taking the RX Plaquenil also known as Hydroxychloroquine. So far it has only stopped the burning tongue from getting worse. It does seem to be at least keeping it in check. The lichen planus has also affected my private parts quite severely. This has a transient pattern…..it comes and goes. At present it seems to be in remission. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia for a number of years and my Dr also believes I have Lupus, although the blood work is not always consistent. Bloodwork also reveals rheumatoid factors. So yes, this does appear to definitely be an autoimmune condition. Drs keep telling me there is no certain cure for this….the most we can hope for is less severe symptoms and longer periods of remission. Good luck to all my fellow sufferers.
I rinse daily with George’s aloe Vera. Shelf stable. For the most part it keeps my oral lichen planus in remission.

I have lichen planus of my vulva. Is a steroid good for this condition please. Please reply me as I’m suffering. Thank you.
Please ask your Gynecologist for specific steroid that can be applied in the vulva area.
I have suffered from this also. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I’ve been single for a number of yrs so it didn’t have an effect on my nonexistent sex life, but I did wonder how sexually active women dealt with this. 🥺🥺
I'm having lichen planus pigmentous since childhood when I'm small Dr said it will go on its own when u will be young but they aren't going I'm feeling really not good and underconfident as it is all over my body except my face it's giving me mental breakdown trying to all the medication nothing is working in clearing them what to do I don't know why this happens why everything can't be normal

Thank you! You have the most informative and comprehensive presentation regarding this. My arm/leg LP is much easier to control than my oral LP which is so painful. Hope more info leads to studies towards a cure rather than just managing.
