In reality about 200-300 Soldiers died by Crocodile, many got lost or ran away or mixed with the local population, about 20 made it through and many soldiers were caught at the border by Allied forces, its those 20 soldiers that made out alive in Japan told the stories and rest is history 200-300 death by crocodile became 980 deaths, still even seeing the dead body parts everywhere in the swamp the scene would be Gnarly
