Thank You, it's one of my favorites. I think we can agree on both sides of the fence there are lamps we'd like to have, but are only available in one country. I know for myself, there are some nice lamps I've seen in review from the UK, that aren't here in the U.S., and then there are some where it's not the exact lamp, but a similar one.

@@macinman do you mean the ones made by Mathmos? I just don't think that Mathmos lamps are worth such a high price tag when the quality isn't top notch anymore. The bulbs last a couple of weeks or a month max before they pop and need replacing (£10 each), the bottles fade quickly if you actually use them and don't treat them as a display only item (probably because they sell replacements) and they cost around £80 to £100 each... Lava Lite are much cheaper but have a very limited range in our country.

@@simon2k4 Well first off: I didn't know the history of Lava lamps until i started buying more. Sure, I grew up with them, but as a kid they weren't that appealing. It was about a year ago when I wanted to get more and found out they started in the UK as the Astro Lamp. The couple I like from Mathmos were the rocket ship ones, and the smart one that uses LEDs, and a heater vs bulbs. I don't run mine on a regular basis, but the bigger ones use a 40w appliance bulb so those are easy to get, and I had my first one go after a year of random use. The first Lava lamp I got is about 25 years old now, and I got it used. It looks like the original Astro Lamp. Look at my videos called restoring old Lava, it's black with an orange bottle. I put it on a dimmer because it was overheating, and now it works as it should by dimming the bulb. The newer lamps that are now made in China are hit and miss as far as flow goes, compared to the older one. However, most of them are decent, even though it's different. FYI: I was born in 1977, so Lava lamps went through several generations during my lifetime.

@@macinman the Smart Astro was removed from sale a few years ago due to them being faulty and not working as they should. Also a possible a fire risk due to them smoking when overheated. I've never had a Telstar because the bottles (globes) choices are a bit boring these days. I think Mathmos need to up their game but probably won't unless another Lava Lamp boom comes along. At the moment, they're taking the high end line but aren't producing the quality products to match the high end price tag. I get what you mean about quality not being the same on Lava Lite's side either but at least they aren't expensive whilst they're not producing the best that they can. Whilst I've been typing this, my new Graffiti Lava Lamp has just arrived by Lava Lite 👌🏻

I have the 14.5 inch, the 16.3 inch and the 17 inch lamps. The 16 and 17 inch lamps are about the same height from base to cap. The 16 inch have a wider bottle around. The 16x oz lamps are 52 oz, and the 17 inch are 32 because the bottles are skinnier on the 17 inch. I have 15 lamps total throughout the apartment.

Using macOS on a non apple computer is against Apple's EULA. However, if you want to try a Hackintosh try looking for a modified version that's re packaged. It will maybe help you. Also, if you can physically get access to a Mac, you can download macOS for free, and extract the install image from the bundle.

Thank you The Orange one in the back is the oldest Lava Lamp I have it's 24 years old, and is finally showing it's age. It can't run as long as the others before the wax splits up too much and becomes a mess. So I replaced it with the Royal Red one from Spencer's same size, and similar coloring. I put the old one on a separate display so it doesn't run as long as the others. The ones in this video are connected to an Amazon smart plug via a power strip and Alexa turns them on for 2 6 hour cycles. One in the morning, and one in the evening, turning them off in between to cool down and rest.

Well, Mine has been around since between 2003, and 2004. I'm impressed that the original power supply still works, and even more impressed the gas lighting hasn't degraded and dimmed. I haven't used the lamp heavily though. I used to have one of the traditional plasma balls, and that wore out in a couple months. Maybe it was defective, but it should have lasted longer, I would have thought. Anyway, glad you got yours working. Have a great day!

@@macinman Mine was missing the original power supply so I adapted one. An old DirecTV switch power supply which is pennies at the local thrift store and super reliable.

That was the 2nd Generation that was first to employ 80211n, and Gigabit Ethernet. The stock power supply had failed so i had opened it up to power it a different way to see if the main unit still worked after the power supply fried.

Hi Tom, sorry to hear about your experience. However, I can't really speak for the people who work there now on two accounts. 1, All / most of the people who where there, when I was, have either retired or left. When I was there, I was a client, so I didn't deal with them corporately in anyway. This Video was not specific to UA-cam, but rather done as my final project for the broadcast program I was taking at the community college. Granted, that was in 2010, so quite a bit has changed.

It really broke my heart when the job offer that was extended to me was rescinded. Perhaps if I knew why it was taken away I would find it easier to move on....

@@tomwellman4500 Hi Tom, You didn't do anything wrong. The simple fact is, the people I worked with, and the People in this video for the most part are no longer at Conklin. I know nothing about the people who replaced them, in fact, I really don't associate there anymore, and have considering requesting my case be closed. Just because I really don't need anything from them anymore. I was never their typical type of client Nor, was Florida resident when I was accepted. I had moved from Virginia looking for work, and I was already very independent and really just needed help getting set up in a new location (as anyone would) so, i really didn't need the center specifically for that. However, because I do have a visual impairment it gave me a ticket in to get help. Thank you for your feedback. I know things had changed quite a bit in the last couple of years. Have a great evening. FYI: I moved to Florida June 2005, was accepted at Conklin August 2005, graduated from the program August 2006, and Focused on school for several years. Then did the program in 2010. The People I worked with left within the last couple years. So maybe if you had tried a few years ago, you may have had a better experience with getting work there.

Hi, thanks for watching the video. Yes, Virtual machines can be fun, and very useful at the same time. As with many of my videos, usually I create them, and then forget they are up there until someone comments on one.

Thanks for pointing out my spelling error, I didn't even realize it was spelled wrong. I can probably remove the video now, anyway, as the issue described has been resolved. Typically what happens is: I create the video for the purpose needed, then I forget it until someone comments. As far as the navigation clicks, go into settings, and make sure the volume for the navigation clicks is set to at least medium. Go to Settings:Audio. If that doesn't resolve the issue, try power cycling the Roku, and if that still doesn't resolve the issue, contact Roku.

@@macinman how do I "power cycle " it?does that restarting it?if so,I did that and still and still no sound.also,I switched the audio to Dolby digital.and still no sound.i don't know what else to do.

@@reggieholder576 OK, Yes, I was referring to pulling the power cord from the ROKU waiting about 60 seconds and plugging it back in. If restarting hasn't fixed your issue, I would contact Roku for assistance. In my case, the issue was a couple things. Part of it was firmware at the time, the other part was the way I had my TV configured, and the fact that the older Roku ultra model at the time had the same features the TV was using, so it was causing a conflict with audio processing. You may have a different issue with the navigation clicks. Personally, I have it disabled, as it doesn't work right with my multi channel audio setup. Hope this helps.

Considering I purchased this in the very late 90's to early 2000's this exact model may not be for sale any longer. You have to remove the rubber foot, it's held on by adhesive typically something like a small flat head screwdriver, or Spuger. All you need to do is get one side started, and then you can typically peel it off the rest of the way with your fingers. Keep in mind, I'm referring to the flat models, not the new 2013 model. There are screws under the rubber foot, remove them and you're golden. This was a while back, so I can't remember if they are Torx, or Philips. What are you calling "fake" ? I had genuinely practiced the game for quite a while before uploading so, it would be a clean video with little to no mistakes. I actually ended up beating the game and got bored with it, so haven't played in a while.

I no longer own the Xbox I was able to return it to Best Buy for store credit since I had paid for an extended plan. I exchanged it for a Sony UBP-X800 since I wanted a stand alone disc player, and not a game console. Last year, the Sony wasn't an option, and why I went with the Xbox.

I got rid of the device after replacing it with the 2013 base station. If I still had the board I could have arranged to send it to you. As it is, it looks like Apple is now out of the router business, so if you're in need of a new unit, you could get a 2013 which adds 80211ac support, and dual band plus a guest network. The one I had in this video was only a ingle network and was 80211n at most,

I know, sometimes I just slap stuff up here really quick as a test, or if i'm showing someone something specific,. I've been hesitant to really put work into things I put up here on a regular basis because I keep getting the vibe that UA-cam isn't for people who really want to do production quality stuff, which I have a background in. An example of this is the program I uploaded from my final project from Broadcast production The last thing I did . the title of that Video is "what we do" it's about a center here in town for people with visual impairments and multiple handicaps . I didn't get a copy of the HD version, so this is what came off DVD.

Currently I only have the one Universal title. I do remember though, when blu-ray was brand new, that a lot of people had compatibility issues between certain players / TVs and disc. Yes, even then sometimes it seems like I remember certain studios were more of a problem then others. Have you double checked to make sure you have the latest firmware and app updates? Since I haven't had to do so yet, does Microsoft provide a way to report disc playback issues so they can correct them? This is my first console I've owned in many years, and my first to be used as a disc player. I've mainly owned stand alone players, but for 4K this was a cheaper way to go to test the waters. If I can find out anything before You do, I'll post here Have a great day! :)

I ended up beating that game, and it became very boring after that. I picked up an Xbox One S for a UHD Blu-ray player, and some basic gaming now. Maybe I'll do some stuff using that once I get used to having a console again. The last game console I owned was an Atari 2600 I had as a kid in the early to mid 80's.

Thanks Matt, I've been really blessed by his ministry as well. I just upgraded to a 4K compatible TV as the Plasma was aging, and wanted to upgrade to a newer TV after 6 years. While he and the other ministries don't broadcast in 4k Natively, the video quality upscaled either via Roku, or AppleTV 4th generation on the new display is absolutely stunning, and the audio is great too. While good audio and video is a wonderful thing the message and content is even more important though. God bless and have a great evening!

Warren Jones it's really a nice solution it's basically an updated version of sound flower with added features. I plan on using it to record and mix system audio with other sources.

I only came here because I read somewhere that Sound Syphon had been started by an engineer from Ambrosia, the company that developed WireTap. I used WireTap for many years and was completely satisfied with it (it was great) until something seems to have gone wrong there (falling sales?) that prevented WireTap from keeping up with Apple developments. I stuck with them longer than was justified,, but I finally had to give up. I miss you WireTap.

Hi Sarah, Yes I can provide you a copy of os x, if you do not have any other way of getting it . If you have another Mac, i would suggest trying to download Lion if you have purchased it, if not I can provide you a copy of snow leopard, or Lion. if you don't have another mac, you'll need snow leopard and then you'd have to burn it to a dual layer DVD. If you have a working mac, and you are able to download lion you can make a usb installer using a program called diskmakerX. Let me know what you currently have and I'll advise accordingly.

I just wanted to add I have a copy of most versions of os x. I don't mind sharing older copies as I don't have physical macs any longer capable running older versions. So if i want one I virtualize it.
