Is it just me or does Billy mime that he's playing guitar? The way he strums constantly but there's never any sound of rythum guitar coming across in the track, either live or on the record. Just sayin' Still my fave Dexys track though. Watch him in all the band videos, same same.

One of my favorite recordings of the last, best 80s line-up - everyone else looks dated and silly, but Kevin, Helen, and Billy look timeless + play like their lives depended on it, with total conviction.

No one ever points out how cool Helen was and what the hell was Billy doing with that guitar? The three of them will never be equaled. BTW what happened to the original video? One of the best things I ever saw.

What a strange mutation..the songs delivery didnt make sense to me at the time, but seeing the video I can see it was a throwback to Kevins punk days..thw whole thing has a sneering delivery and punk energy about it..with contemporary disco beat...confusing times for dexys ?

I remember sitting in front of the TV in '85 thinking "this is horrible!". I was too young at the time to understand just how terrific this is.
