I used to fish in the river when i was a kid in the 1980,s . The river was full of fish and never disappointed, the same with West Lakes. But i used to take my father fishing in the Port river a few years ago while he was dying for the fresh air and fun. But the river is nothing like it used to be, bream are few and far between and when you catch them very small, didnt even catch any mullet or garfish or mulloway.

can you tell me where that is, I'm a 13-year-old bot who's been fishing for Ausie bass my whole life. my parents say that they will take me anywhere for my birth day and that spot looks great. my pb is 55 but hopeful i will be able to get some 60 plusses at that amazing spot

Great video! Really enjoying watching your content and the commentary is good too! Try a double split ring from lure to the hook. Some local lures made here in NZ have them and the catch rate is increased as its harder for the fish to throw the hook.

It's still good to see that they're naturally still in the wild. And they're very hard to come by in the wild. And you never want to give up the spot when you do find them. Great that they're still around congratulations lovely fine hopefully they'll be back next year in the same spot.
