Trust me, just start even if you're on the toilet or on the bus - Anne of Green Gables book is just - its magical, one of those books that remind you to stop and notice. As for psych book recs, I strongly suggest : 1. "Women who love too much: When you keep hoping he'll change" by: Robin Norwood.(helpful even if you aren't into men, it still applies) ~ I know the title sounds iffy but trust me, it could help you understand and recognize patterns that you may have in relationships or spot them when they are happening as well as feeling seen in a validating way. vulnerable read 2. "The Mountain is you" by Brianna Wiest ~ A book that reminds you how powerful and destructive your own beliefs are and how to Overcome the mountain that is you; the you who self-sabotages 3. "Death, Society, and Humane experience" by Robert Kaustenbaum and Christopher Moreman" (textbook)- Especially the chapter on death in the world of childhood 4. "Unfu*ck yourself by Gary Bishop" ~ A wake up call if you need one, uses psychological principles without getting too wrapped up in the terminologies. He gets straight to the point

Continued It's nice hearing that you'd love to visit! What country are you from? Canada has people who are very polite and friendly, they usually offer a smile if your eyes meet. Downside is I think sometimes it can come off a bit robotic. Its a beautiful country, some areas more than others and it feels safe, the city I live in is very peaceful. What I don't like is that it sometimes feels like a lonely country because neighbors aren't as chatty with each other and people tend to keep to themselves. I'm from a community based society (Jamaica) so I noticed the difference pretty quickly, Canada is a very individualistic society. Canadians complain about prices quite often, things are expensive. we have some stunning attractions as well 😊 I really hope this helped show possible good and bad sides of Canada

And yes I will be reading Anne of Green Gables first because I hear there are some good tv adaptations too that I want to watch. 😅 I know for sure that I read the very first book when I was young but I barely remember it. Now I have all of the physical copies except 6 and 8. I live in the United States so I probably know all about the robotic people because depending where you live Americans can definitely be standoffish too 😂 Canada sounds beautiful and more peaceful though from what I hear. I understand where you’re coming from with Caribbean culture because my background is Dominican and my husband is Guyanese. I know Jamaicans are similar with being more friendly and outgoing since our cultures are indeed more collectivist. I saved Hurricane Summer by the way! I read the description and was like oooh this is a good book! Plan on getting a physical book soon. 🤗

I watched the Anne of Green Gables on Netflix soooo good. I was mad when they stopped at season 4. Adelaide this was beautiful. It means so much to me that you felt you could write this here. Your writing is so beautiful and what you had to say hold so much truth. I read all the time too, as a means of escape. Our world really is beautiful and if you really think about it, magical even. but we get distracted by so much going on. This is one of the reasons why I’ve always loved children. At their core they easily appreciate the life around them. Books feel like a world of fantasy but it’s a world where our own problems aren’t relevant so we take comfort in that. Thank you again , I’m looking forward to more of your thoughts
