The transfiguration is a glimpse of Jesus glory as he is setting his face toward Jerusalem where he will be crucified. This sermon explores a way of understanding the Cross that is radically different than the view popularized in Evangelical Christianity where God needs Jesus to die so a subset of humans can be spared from God's eternal wrath.

    First, if you really wish to engage in the kind of prayer practised by Jesus and His apostles - you will have to get ahold of some good entheogens. The latest historical evidence, regarding the early Christian church, provides a clear and convincing case, that Jesus was the leader of a psychedelic community, which partook in the entheogen, LSA - to commune with God. The miracle of turning water into "wine" was a miracle long credited to Dionysus. Diluting a vial of LSA, into a well or a spring, turned the water into a mind altering beverage. The Eucharist, at the Last Supper, was the reenactment of a common Hellenistic ceremony, common in many Mystery Religions from the area (and not found in either the Torah or the Talmud). It is from these Mystery Religions, that we get the word "enthusiasm" - which means to take God inside, and to be possessed by God. Apparently, all we have left of the original Eucharist, in our contemporary Christian churches, is just a placebo. In the Greek mystery religions, secret hallucinogenic recipes were passed down in families, from mother to daughter, for thousands of years. Jesus and his followers openly shared their recipes (although some people didn't follow the Eucharist recipe well enough, and entire congregations of early Christians got poisoned, and many died.) Extracting LSA from ergot, safely, requires expert knowledge. Martin Luther King Jr., in an essay he wrote, while he was in seminary, in 1949-1950, wrote that the Early Christians borrowed heavily from the various Mystery Religions, which were being practiced in that part of the world. In particular, the partaking in sacraments, in which God was present. Additionally, MLK Jr. wrote that the Virgin birth, the incarnation of God as man, his death and Resurrection were all aspects of the Christian story, which were borrowed from these Mystery Religions. The Gospel of John, by borrowing from Ancient Greek literature, argues that Christianity is not unlike Dionysian mystery rites. The Gospel of John has sections which copy, verbatim, Euripides play The Bacchae, which was written more than four hundred years before Jesus's birth. The Roman Senate outlawed the Bacchanalia in 186 B.C.E. (unless someone had permission from the Roman Senate, and no more than five people participated, and only women could become trained priests). Early christianity was celebrated as the return of the Bacchanalia. Not like the drunk orgy, which the Roman Senate depicted it as, when they outlawed it; but as the psychedelic, inspirational experience described by every notable Greek philosopher, mathematician, historian, poet, artist, actor, playwright, and scientist of Ancient Greece - who insisted that the Eleusinian Mysteries were vital for Greece to remain civilized. Early Christian services were in people's homes, where women played a central role. Men (Church Fathers who had never met Jesus (starting with Saul/Paul - who wrote most of the New Testament)) slowly coopted power in the church, pushed women aside, and eventually outlawed the most popular Greek mystery festivals in 394 A.D. (which had been run by women for thousands of years). It took more than a thousand years to eradicate the hallucinogenic eucharist completely - through the relentless war on the pagans, the gnostics, the heretics, and culminating in the inquisition and the torture and murder of the "witches" (the priestesses who facilitated the hallucinogenic eucharist). The use of entheogens in Europe, once common, was systematically eradicated, because it undermined the authority of the Church. Newly found records from the Vatican's Secret Archives demonstrate that the Church was obsessed with the recipes used by those they condemned as witches; recipes which they described as the Black Eucharist. Some women herbalists were tortured for years, while the Church took note of their hallucinogenic recipes. The Church's Eucharist was but a pale placebo, compared to the mind expanding Eucharist of the entheogen imbibing pagans. Priests and their church are unnecessary, empty shadows compared to the direct experience of the Transcendent, offered by the entheogenic experience. With contact with the Mayans and Aztecs, and Incans, and their numerous, safe entheogens, the Church again felt threatened, and attempted to eradicate their knowledge. Everyone, who could read or write Mayan, was killed. Their libraries were destroyed. The eradication almost worked, but peyote ceremonies proved too popular. And Psilocybin rituals became hidden, in the mountains for centuries. The Inca renamed their sacred cactus after Saint Peter. The Catholic Church lobbied the US government to outlaw peyote ceremonies in 1906 - arguing that because of their powerful peyote sacrament, the Native Americans had no interest in attending church to partake in the Church's mundane Eucharistic sacrament. As entheogens became known to the West in the 1950s and 1960s, they were first seen as miraculous. Treatment centers sprang up, to treat psychiatric patients as well as drug and alcohol addictions. Robert Kennedy's wife was saved from her alcoholism, through psychedelic therapy. Young people found new freedom and rebelled against an unjust war. Nixon saw the peace movement and the civil rights movement as a threat, and enacted the War on Drugs. The War on Drugs is a repeat of history, echoing the witch trials, arresting and imprisoning millions of people who have harmed no one. Do you seek the mundane prayers of those who hold fast to the ongoing Inquisition (despite being ruthlessly mocked), or do you seek a direct experience of the Transcendental (despite defying the state sponsored Inquisition - and facing arrest, imprisonment, and impoverishment)?

    Hi Brian, my name is Barb, I’m 68 yrs old, attending Burning Man for the first time. I believe some of my family & friends have some concerns that my light for Jesus will be dimmed. I’m praying that I stay strong in my belief of God, that He would use me in some way in this community. I would love to have your camp be one of the firsts I visit……..for prayer…to be guided by Him. I don’t know if I’m explaining all that’s in my heart, but mainly wanted to introduce myself before I arrive this year. I thank you for your UA-cam’s which have given me a different aspect of Burning Man. I am going to also put this on another video of yours. Just hope that you see one of them.

      Hi Barb, I wonder, how was burning man and your experience and how do you feel about your concerns and outcomes now? I have been twice, it was certainly spiritual and challenging and frankly took some parts of me higher to god and other parts a little further away perhaps. I resonated with this sense of pilgrimage and yearning during that chapter in my life and cried when he spoke about wanting family there too, altho I don’t think looking back that I would want to take them really, but that feeling of opening and playfulness and wishing that it was being watched over by a safe n loving figure which is also what god can be.

    Amazing how something that starts because the founder is pissed at his gay lover in San Francisco. He's so pissed off that he made a wooden man representing his gay lover that left him and through hate sets the wooden man structure on fire.. With time the Man represented the Government. That is the origin of what has turned into a huge money making festival. HaHa I'm laughing as I hear him saying everything is a gift... That is after the money is paid... Just to show one side of the coin can look very different from the other side.. While they are playing for free in the temporary city an enormous number of people are making a lot of money on all the rentals... Well, I guess this is like talking about the back scenes of a Disney ride for the children to believe it is magic.. So there's the origin of Burning Man tell it or keep it a secret, now you know..

    • @allynmcgillicuddy7486
      @allynmcgillicuddy7486 4 роки тому

      I haven't heard this story! It's surprising that BM not only features a wooden man but also a temple, which is probably the most amazing structure at the event. The day after the man is burned, and on the very last night of the week, the temple is burned. As this video imparts, the temple burn is a profound experience for many burners, who visit the temple throughout the week. During the prior week, burners write messages, post photos and all kinds of things that represent the full gamut of emotions, thoughts, wishes, prayer, memorials among those at Black Rock City. As for money-making, I believe it is a nonprofit organization. The fees that are collected cover the cost of operations, including hired personnel such as Bureau of Land Management officials, other federal personnel... charging fees are a violation of the Burning Man Organization without a permit, and very, very few permits are granted. The only thing burners can pay for is ice and coffee. (The coffee shop has apple cider and hot chocolate). Every job is performed by volunteer burners. Most camps offer some type of service, such as bicycle repair, showers, massages, story or fortune-telling, or just comfortable places to sit. Everything is free other than ice and coffee...

    The power of encounter. Like Christ, you journeyed with this people on their way to Emmaus. Through the power of encounter, you turned their faces back to Jerusalem. The Church is not for those who are perfect and the Eucharist is not only for those who are holy. The Church is a field hospital for those in need of healing. Sometimes you have to go out into the trench in order to pick up the wounded and bring them into the field hospital.

    This "priest" (and I use that term very lightly) is extremely blind and lost. Leading his flock to hell. This talk was so difficult to listen to. He is so taken in by Satan' s deceptions! He is unaware of this obvious modern day Sodom and Gamora clearly pagan Satanic ritual. How can a priest be so easily amused and deceived??? This is disturbing! Is he aware that the Eucharist is commonly stolen from Catholic churches, dosed with LSD and handed out there at Burning Man??? This is a dangerous ritual! Get a clue man of God!!!

      a Roman Catholic priest would never subject himself to the Burning Man festival to be sure. This Epicopalian priest with a 22-year-old hippie daughter talked him into it. and it's not uncommon for conservative people to laugh at people not in their tribe.

      @allynmcgillicuddy7486 4 роки тому

      Tara, I have been to Burning Man 7 times, and I can't imagine where you got this information about the Eucharist... first of all, if you are Catholic, you know that the Eucharist is just a wafer until the priest consecrates it during the Mass, at which point it becomes consecrated as the actual body of Christ. The priest doesn't place the unused, consecrated Eucharist in a cupboard after Mass where it can be stolen. As far as I know, an ordained Roman Catholic priest has never consecrated the Eucharist at Burning Man. Second, there is nothing Satanic about either the statue of the "Man" nor the Temple. The Temple is not affiliated with any religion, sect, nor satanic group of people. It's not sponsored by, or connected to, any religion, sect, philosophy, or church. The Burning Man Organization has absolutely no affiliation with any of these. Indeed, both the wooden structure of the "Man" as well as the wooden temple are burned each year. It's not a Satanic ritual, on the contrary. The burning of the Temple is a highly spiritual event for many of the people attending the festival. If you could read the messages that burners write on the structure of both the Man and the temple during the week, your spirit would be moved by the messages and prayers, and uplifted by how heartfelt, religious, and spiritual so many of them are. You would understand why it's so quiet, as in a real church, where spoken words are whispered, despite hundreds of burners present. In addition, the burning of both the Man and the temple is also shared in silence, for the most part, despite the tens of thousands of people witnessing it. Before the first vehicle arrives at the Black Rock Desert area marked off for the Burning Man festival, there is nothing there but dust. After the festival is over, the objective of the Burning Man Organization and its participants is to "Leave No Trace". That is a compact made with the Bureau of Land Management. It reminds me of the words uttered by the priest during the Consecration, "Ashed to Ashes, Dust to Dust". They apply to Burning Man. After the burn each year, both BLM and Burning Man participants scour the entire area where their event took place. A map that shows anything remaining in the desert after the event is published, and camps that were assigned an area where "matter out of place" (MOOP) is found are held responsible. The camp will likely receive either an unfavorable location in the following year, or not invited to return.

    *This is madness!! Burning man, is a pagan festival!! Like Sodom!!!* Like the name say, Burning man, the place where man is keeps burning for eternity is in hell! *PATH TO ABOMINATIONS* "Your country and many countries upon earth have given themselves over to paganism, and pursuing this course has now taken the young down the path to abomination. Your children are now victims, for they have entered into a form of idol worship. Your children are victims now, because they have not been given a foundation of their Faith. The laxity falls upon the parents, because through countless years of My wandering upon earth I counseled you, I directed you, I warned you to watch your children, to safeguard their souls from the evil that has entered now into all of the medias of your world. "My children, parents, I have counseled you to safeguard your homes, to make your home a fortress against the evil forces that now rage in your world. Man of perdition, these dark forces from hell, are now doing full battle in My Son's Church and in your world.” - _Our Lady, November 19, 1977_ *IDOLS OF MAN* "There is only one way, My children, when you turn from your God: it is down. Moral corruption, casting aside the Commandments of your God, building and worshipping idols of man, paganism in My House, leaders that have given themselves to satan--shall I continue to list for you all of the abominations committed by mankind until I cry out that you have become a degenerate generation and you call upon yourselves a baptism of fire? "It is a sad fact, but one that cannot be escaped, but held in abeyance by the prayers and acts of atonement of the few--it is a sad fact that two great penances shall be set upon mankind: a scourge of war and the Ball of Redemption. How soon, you ask? Does it matter when a time? Are you prepared now? It will fast come upon you unexpectedly. There shall appear two suns on your horizon. Fear shall grip the hearts of many, and this fear shall come from the knowledge that you rejected the warnings from Heaven and did not act upon them.” - _Jesus, December 7, 1976_ *PAGANS* "Pagans roam the world, pagans walk into the House of God. Man, you have reduced yourselves to the state of an animal. Your intellectual pride has set you down the ladder to the fires.” - _Our Lady, August 5, 1973_ *AMERICA, LAND OF PAGANS* "Your country, the United States and America, has become a land of pagans. Your country and America and many countries of the world have given themselves over to all manner of pleasures of the flesh and defilement of the human body and desecration of their bodies and their spirits.” - _Our Lady, February 1, 1978_ *“HAVE YOU NO SHAME?”* "Parents, how dare you allow your daughters to be looked upon with lustful eyes! Have you no shame? What is your example? Are you pagans?” - _Our Lady, May 30, 1972_ *STRANGE GODS* "In the Commandments of your God you will remember: 'I,' said the Lord, 'I am your God; thou shalt not have strange gods before you.' And who are these strange gods of masonry and witchcraft? Isis! My children, man has accepted gods of nature! Pagans you have become! You reject your God the Father; you reject the Trinity; and you have dabbled and burned your fingers in the unknown, the darkness of satanism.” - _Our Lady, November 1, 1977_ *RAISED TO KNOW NO SIN* "Your children are being raised to know no sin. They conduct themselves as pagans worshiping false idols, giving themselves to mind-destructive drugs, seeking pleasures that are abominations to the human flesh!” - _Our Lady, October 2, 1975 _ tldm.org
