    I'm glad I came across this cause I need it, I can defend myself but more experience would help. I have been a domestic abusive relationship and the last day was 1/7/25 I had to get out of there cause I felt if I did stay I wouldn't have been walking out 😢 it was more then hair pulling...more so; jamming cigarettes in my face and on my inner side calf, which I have a burse from the fire burn, stabbing me with an object you would use to unlink stuff from your watch or chain, knocking me out, punching me, backing handing me, making me lose my job, pulling knifes out on me telling me he was going to stab me in my neck...one time he got his knife and put to my head and said he would kill me tonight it wasnt hard enought to penatrate but i felt the tip/point hitting my head, ripping up me and my kids ssc and birth certificates up, broke my phones and TV, spit on me multiple times, pissed on my bed and belongings 😢 I called the police and got a peace order put out on him but I they can't get to him cause he won't answer the door, he has my key. I went to my rentoffice and asked the police would he go in if I open the door and he told me no so I wasn't going in there, but me and my family going down there tomorrow (which will be monday) go to the rent office and borrow a key oh and I'm calling the police so they can serve his tail. I mean idk what to do it's still fresh I'm just thankful I was able to get out alive

      That is a tough one... one of the only things you guys are allowed to carry is a knife with a non-locking blade that's under 3 inches. Which, if used right, can deliver more than enough damage. Maybe something you could spray in the eyes like a brake cleaner or carburetor cleaner but if you were found carrying it would not necessarily be a weapon. Not the best situation to live in somewhere with so many regulations against defending yourself unfortunately

    A lot of jiu-jitsu type techniques have been found to be ineffective in a real fight if that kid put a grown man in a chokehold like that the grown man would most likely put his hand on the kids face and then apply pressure as he stands. There are no rules like you have in the UFC.

    • @VanquishSelfDefense
      @VanquishSelfDefense 12 днів тому

      Nothing is 100% effective. If the man had training or knew it was coming, it would be nearly impossible. If the guy doesn't expect and next thing he knows an arm is around his neck and the bloodflow to his brain is shut off. He then has 5 seconds of panic before he is out. If he does something during that time of panic, to get out. The kids still gave himself a lot of extra seconds to get away and to bring attention to himself. If the guy doesn't know what to do and just starts flowing his arms around or grabs at the kid's face and the kid is persistent and holds the choke with the correct technique, the man would go to sleep. At that point if the kid knows what he is doing he can choose to let it go if he is close to getting away or you can choose to hold it to dispatch the attacker., but I can tell you that doing nothing is ineffective 100% of the time...

    this is a good video and can help someone in dangerous situation under some circumstances. knee while possible isn't that easy to do if you are pinned against the wall. and yes groin is a good target but if someone is really strong they might be able to power through it if the knee is not delivered with full extension. the hit to the eyes that seems like a best option. (although I'm not sure if open hand would be ideal or closed fist with using your thumb as an actual stabbing part would be better because there is less chance that you will damage yourself if you miss. the throat is a very good target but it is also the one that is the hardest to his accurately. the way shown here is one of few ways that it can actually be delivered accurately the problem is that you are hitting with one of the softest parts of your body . and the weakest part of your hand. so even if the throat is a very good target the fact that you are also hitting it with pretty much the softest part of your hand that takes away from the damage you can do. it will work very well if the opponent is not prepared for it. but if he knows what is about to happen he can tighten his neck and the damage will be lot less severe. punching someone in the throat would be very effective except actually hitting him with your fist would be very difficult at less his throat is completely exposed. honestly I don't know what would be the best way to get to the throat. the only think I can think of is to make a fist but extend your thumb. and jam your thumb into the area directly under his Adam's apple but I don't know if you can get to his throat doing that but you have better chance than with your fist and if you actually could hit them it would do more damage than hitting them in a traditional way. the thing is that if someone really wanted to hurt you not just take your money they wouldn't simply push you against the wall they would put their forearm against your throat and push you into it while bracing and either deliver knees or elbows. and this is very difficult situation to be in especially if an opponent is stronger than you. I guess the best choice would be the hit to the eyes and push your adversary's head upwards by pushing into their eyeballs and then hitting their throat with a thumb. or it you have a chance deliver a headbutt as you showed and go for a rear naked choke as you showed in the video. but all of this would have to be done both very quickly and well timed. I personally am not sure if I could do it (at less I drilled this many times in both first controlled and after wards more chaotic environment) and for a woman that has never done it it would be that much harder. I think using keys to the eyes is a very good idea and this actually can work and using rear naked choke after it as you have shown would be they way to go or at least it would give you the best chance.

    Yeah now I get why. You see this in movies where they slam while in a guillotine choke. But yes your lead is lower than their body in addition to all the pressure on the neck. What about a back slam/suplex? You see UFC fighters doing this sometimes lol. I agree safest way is to lock your arms together and apply pressure on their shoulder to let them release.

    for the basics this is a good video. But first of all no one would be using a choke of this type from the rear because it is very ineffective a person would simply go for the rear naked choke. also choke from the front when standing is not the most effective way to attack someone either because the attacker needs his hands to choke so he cannot use them to defend himself while the person being attacked has their hands free and can do a lot. (of course there is a huge difference between being choked by someone smaller or equal to you in size and strength vs someone who is significantly stronger. especially in this case) on the other hand if someone has mounted someone who is smaller then them and lighter than them choke becomes significantly more dangerous. and when person's who is being choked arms are also trapped that is a very dangerous situation even if the adversary is only little bit stronger and heavier than you. and bridging by itself I don't see it working. one might start with a bridge but then one would need to use their hips very aggressively in multiple steps to get out or at least get into neutral position. also someone who is mounting you is not going just sit on you and choke you they will try to hook your legs to make it harder for you to throw them over. and they will also use punches and elbows there will be moments when they have both of their hands on your throat and there will be moments where they have only one while they are using their other hand to give punches and elbows. and if your own arms are trapped then being choked becomes lot more dangerous for you then if your hands were free. in case of this video the physical difference between those two people is significant and her simply bridging would not do the trick. and there should be more detailed instructions. specifically how to escape the mount.

  • @bartangel4867
    @bartangel4867 2 місяці тому

    this is a good video. but while showing how to do it on the ground is also very important if you happen to find yourself in this situation. it is important to point out that in the case like this one you don't want to get to the ground especially if opponent that is significantly bigger than you is on top of you. I know that to most it might seem obvious that when trying guillotine in this type of situation you don't put yourself on the ground but rather try to finish it when the opponent is on while standing. and use guillotine on the ground only if he manages to put you on the ground (when knowing how to do it on the ground does indeed become very important) but this needs to be said I don't know much about fighting (although i do hit pads from time to time) and when giving instructions its important to go into details because seeing it done vs doing it yourself is often very different especially in fighting.
