I picked up this game like 2-3 weeks ago and wanted to let you know your vids have been a great help in the learning curve. Currently watching the entire tutorial playlist, partially to see what I could learn but also as I enjoy watching your content. I read that due to work you're not able to make content anymore, I hope you'll find a way to combine work and making content again. Anyways, just wanted to say thanks and I'll subscribe so I'll be informed if you ever find a way to lauch new content.

I know it's an old vid but thank you for making this vid. Picked up the game last week and having a real blast. This was not only a good tutorial on how to create a vertical driller but also some info on event controllers, proper setting up your terminal, etc. Only remark I would like to make, perhaps weld up a tad sooner. Only after "we" (followed along with the vid) did I spot mistakes with my tubing.

Great video! You talked about the shaking on the piston and drill unit. What about building supports from the top of the unit outward in like a + pattern to the ground? I've noticed that helps as far as stabilizing the unit and reducing the shaking. Especially since the entire drill/piston setup is supported by only one arm extending quite far out from the base.

    • @JagoDragon

@soysauce73 in some cases, it can help. But SE does not takes structural integrity into account and this will usually not matter. Some times though... Clang is strange... 🤷‍♂️

If I may ask, on the building base tower, couldn’t you add pistons on it, raise to full extent then create the conveyors across then add the more retracted drill head pistons? That way you increase the depth by retracting the base pistons. Then when the base pistons are retracted all the way, then start extending the drill head pistons creating even more depth. Hope that I made sense. Is that a good idea or no? 😇🫡

Hey sir, I noticed that this is your most recent video and it is 4 months ago. Have you stopped playing or just stopped making videos? If you would like an idea for a video, I would like to see one on how to make retractable turrets without scripts as I play vanilla and I have seen MP servers with scripts disabled. I know little to nothing about scripts anyway. From my two week old limited knowledge, I drew a design of what parts I would need and how I think that it would work. The only thing I know very little about are the use of timer and event blocks. I have seen how you have used some, but I need to study more on that subject. You said you would make a video regarding those blocks, have you done so, if not would you please? You are the best at explaining every detail of what, how and why you are doing what you do. So you are making basically a stealth tutorial without saying it’s a tutorial. I hope that you are not burnt out, but if so, I understand needing a break and a change of pace now and again. Hope that you are doing well. So be safe and may God Bless. 😇😎🫡 Oh, by the way, has anyone ever told you that you sound like Bill Maher? 😱 It would be wild if you were!🤣😅😂😁😜

Wouldn’t placing that interior pillar/power cable underground be a more safe option? Because it seems to me that it is a safety hazard since you will be flying around your base, or at least make it as close to the ground as possible, because I doubt that you will be driving your rover around that side of your base that much, plus it will reduce the chance of lightning striking and destroying it. Just a thought sir. 😇🫡

I have another question if I may sir. You are on an Earth like planet. You have excellent gravity and breathable air. So why are you making everything airtight? I can understandably see if you were on a planet with a thin atmosphere, but not on a planet with a good atmosphere. I also do not understand why you are mining ice as you do not need O2. Maybe it is for hydrogen production because you plan on going to space? Since it is an airtight facility you do need air /O2 production. Is it just your preference or does it actually serve a purpose that I am not thinking enough. Thank kindly in advance for your responses if you do. 😇🫡

@ 5:21 ish I show the outlet. It is set to black list with nothing selected. This means it will let anything pass thru it. This sorter is only functioning as a one-way valve that can be shut off. It let's the assembler take resources when the inlet isn't cleaning ore and ingots out of the system. When the inlet is draining ore from the system, the outlet is shut off so that the drain isn't looping items from its own inventory rather than cleaning.
