Homeless Punjabi Man in Ilford, Essex (UK)

This short film has been made to highlight the current situation of a homeless man from Punjab (India) who has been living in England for the past 16 years. Although when he originally arrived from India he started to work in the construction industry, due to recent employment legislation he has fallen into a life of homelessness and alcohol abuse.

Excuse me but I am in shock seeing this. With all the millions of Punjabi in the UK thousands in ILFORD - BUT DO NOTHING TO HELP THIS MAN?? YOUR OWN PEOPLE? WALKING BY HIM EVERYDAY? I know this guy living homeless in England is better than living in poverty stricken India
How is sending this man home gonna solve his alcohol problem. This is just like moving a problem from one place to another. We should be actually helping this man with his alcohol problem and not just shifting him on. Why doesn't the community have rehab centres where we can send people like this? Why doesn't the Gurudwaras fund a alcohol clinic or rehab centre?
