Fun fact: curator gets triggered on the last possible frame, I couldn’t have been closer to failing Also, no, I didn’t intend to get hit and run for frink but I did abuse the fact I could get hit and run without consequence to rack up coins

@@RyanPassek the TAS is primarily timed RTA, whereas the human wr is timed loadless This run loadless is a 1:16:16, faster than wr. However, the other disadvantages are console having a lower fps which loses time in many places, as well as not being capable of enter skip storage. Finally, as the run is primarily timed RTA, there are sections that lose time loadless for a better RTA time, time which pc runs save over the TAS

@@neonicplays Yeah but I used to play the PS2 version before that console died on me and in that one the SFX were not delayed.

Game locks your movement, you can alt tab on pc to get it again but here you just can’t unfortunately

Correct. If you fail the landing that’s on you. The time is not intended to be a sum of landings, it’s just how we’ve had to adjust for load times

Unfortunately due to desyncs I had to splice the tas together. Basically at 2 parts in the run I had to rerun sections to fix desyncs so I can’t submit

It is a very fun speedrun. Underrated as hell, another runner is coming back to contest wr and I’m extremely excited for it. Some competition in the run would be incredible

Wasn’t even a choke, if you check the bottom right you’ll see the framerate drop suddenly Physics and boosts in this game are tied to fps, the fps drop therefore I got less of a boost than I planned for by braking. Had I been on 150 it would’ve worked :(

Hard is the wrong word. TASing is just playing the game at low speed, being able to do things over and over again and then adjust the inputs. It’s not hard to create a TAS, but creating a good TAS requires a deep understanding of the game at hand I use bizhawk for my GameCube TASes (this one)
