Brinsley Forde became one of the main members of Aswad, one of the greatest British reggae bands ever to walk the earth (well, until 1988 when they gave up and became a boring covers band like UB40).

I'm nearly 63 and growing up in the 70's was a marvellous time for me and my brothers, even though we were unaware of the hardships our parents were going through we had the time of our lives.

This completely annoys me to this day and not seen the connection - PETER FIRTH is in the show and later watching him in the lead in SPOOKS. I’m 58 now, but remember the series.

I’m 61. Interestingly, Bruce Clark was our neighbor in Redford Michigan, USA. He and my older brother were friends. His father worked for Ford Motor Company and got transferred to England. I remember all the neighbors got together to watch the premier.

57yr old male reports of having a lump in throat and a small tear in eye due to massive nostalgia. This was such a great programme and brought back so many memories of life as a child in the 70's. Those who were fortunate to have lived that decade are truly blessed. We got up to allsorts : scrumping over the allotments, fishing in a small brook for stickleback, making camps in the nearby woods and playing footy round the nearby field with all your mates from your road. You knew all the lyrics to songs from the "Top 40", but couldnt remember sod all dates in History lessons 😂😅 I'd go back there in a heartbeat.

Lived on 2 buses now. Wonder if this had anything to do with it.

I remember the Double Deckers and it was toe curlingly awful.

Stranger Things The Goonies

Does anybody remember the series in the 1970's, "Changes". It was a great series. Technology caused some kind of mass hysteria and people took to the countryside and had to start again with no amenities. Weird but really captured my imagination.

Time Travel. Aged Ten I Yearned To Be As Happy And As Carefree As These Kids. I Can Almost Smell It. Bubble Gum And Comics.

I loved this as a child. I had forgotten Peter Firth was in it. Not many years after this appearing in the film Equus with Richard Burton...

I use to watch this as a young fella and loved it along with the Banana Splits, Thunderbirds are Go and Wacky Races to name a few. Good times and fond memories.

At 62, this is a welcome trip down memory lane. Double Deckers , Banana Splits, and Thunderbird were a welcome lift from the gloom of Belfast back in the day. But happy day's nonetheless.

Quite inclusive for the time, our current woke brigade will be happy. That aside , great memories of watching this as a kid.
