    Thanks or your prompt answer .. I do understand your point ... some masks after we follow through the construction... fit horribly.. some people add the finish product on their face , model , etc and you can see how they fit 🙏

    • @SarahYoang
      @SarahYoang 3 роки тому

      Hey sweet friend. I am sorry I didn’t show the fit. If you need it to fit differently, this mask, the way it is sewn, should be easy to detach the ear loops and sew on ones that would fit. I understand that everyone has a different size face and it is hard to find the right fit. I wish there was a way to measure from ear to ear to find the right measurements to make the perfect mask. I’m sorry you are having a hard time with this, and hope you can make it work.

    Once I made the flower with purple color can I change the color?

    • @SarahYoang
      @SarahYoang 3 роки тому

      Yes, you can change the color... it is really easy if it was made on it’s own layer. What you will do is select the layer that has the flower, and select the options icon (3 dots) and select “mask layer contents” everything will become red, then slide the layer to the right (the red square on the right) then pick the color you want to change the flower to, and paint over it! If it is not on its own layer you will need to open your file in photoshop and go through the replace color feature. You can also try the selective color feature as well to select the purple and then with that selected then paint over it.

    I'm wondering why you're not using the live watercolor brushes instead of the pixel brushes.

    • @SarahYoang
      @SarahYoang 3 роки тому

      That’s a great question! The live watercolor brush is fun, but something has always seemed off to me when I use it. Also, I paint with pixel brushes because it allows me to work on the computer as well as the iPad with the same brushes and I won’t have two different looks. Hopefully that answers your question. I know many people love the live watercolor brush, it just isn’t for me!

    • @nobodyknows3260
      @nobodyknows3260 3 роки тому

      @@SarahYoang Thanks so much for replying. I thought I just didn't know how to use them properly. I'm new to watercolor, but a client asked for watercolor elements in her design. So I tried the live brushes and I just couldn't get them to cooperate. It's like you never know what you're going to get. And even when you turn down the water flow, they're still acting weird. Plus, you can't get that paper texture. So I started with the live brushes, but ended up using the pixel brushes anyway.

    • @SarahYoang
      @SarahYoang 3 роки тому

      I included work because this was the whole reason I had made the video. If it weren't for the current events and how it affected residents at work then I would not have made these masks in the first place. When everyone has to learn to make a mask because of the shortages, I felt it was needed to try to make an easy video so those who do not have much experience sewing could make their own mask.

      The CDC had recommended cotton for masks because it was better to "Filter" out particles that could make you sick. It was also recommended because of the ability to breath through. Honestly, I think that you would still need a filter no matter which fabric you choose to use. Here is a link for another video that includes a filter pocket: ua-cam.com/video/6p7w604h9d8/v-deo.html

    • @SarahYoang
      @SarahYoang 3 роки тому

      Hey Chuchie Doubek, the measurements should be the same in this video for age 3-5... however if it seems too big you can always tailor the mask by trimming the ear loops down about half an inch. I hope this helps. If you want to try for a smaller mask I would take half an inch off both the width and height of the dimensions shown in the video
