It's the day we've been eagerly anticipating, and we're finally off to South Africa. After wrapping up work and packing our bags, we're heading to the airport.
This video has two main focuses: Did we get the seats we hoped for and how we managed to book our flight for 20% of the regular business class costs.
We're flying Qatar Airways, renowned for their luxurious QSuites in business class, though they're also known for last-minute changes to their seating configurations. We're really hoping that at least one leg of our journey will feature the QSuites.
Plus, we'll be sharing the details of how we managed to score business-class tickets for a fraction of their usual cost.
We're kicking things off in the business class lounge at Gatwick, enjoying a lovely breakfast before our flight to Doha. The lounge is pleasantly empty, and we've taken advantage of the priority security service that comes with our tickets. While our flight from Gatwick to Doha featured an older plane with its comfortable yet non Q-Suite seating, we remained hopeful for a Q-Suite on the next leg to Cape Town.
Our initial journey was smooth, but things started to go pear-shaped on the 2nd part of the journey so join us to find out what happened!
