Good job man. Very solid cover 🤘
If your saw seems underpowered, you can increase its power by using a smaller blade. Just because it say's it's a 9" doesn't mean you have to be stuck with that size. You don't want to go bigger, but you can always use an 8" or even a 7' circular saw blade on it. If the stock you're cutting isn't over say, 2" thick an 8" blade will work just fine and will make your saw seem more powerful.
That's a great deal on a nice saw! I have a Rockwell Model 9 Contractor saw from the 1980's I just started tearing down to clean the years of caked on sawdust out of it and change the arbor bearings in it. Mine has plenty of power as it has a 1.5hp Dayton motor on it that can be wired either 120 or 240v. I was able to adjust it, but it was a struggle with the handles being very tight from having to push the gears through all that old sawdust in the cabinet. Mine has the cast iron top and it was rusty as hell when I got it, but I used a random orbital sander on a piece of red scotch brite and sprayed the surface down with WD-40 and that shined it right up in no time. The belt wasn't aligned very well either and since it's now cracked with dry rot I'll be changing it over to a link belt. You got a lot better deal than I did, LOL! I gave $200 for mine, but I've gotten a lot better deals since. Picked up a 1956 DeWalt MBF radial arm saw for $35 and just yesterday I brought home a Craftsman 6 1/8" contractor jointer with a 2hp motor for $75 so I guess it all evens out in the end. I did give $350 for a 14" Delta bandsaw, but that thing looked like it had never been used and the guy even had the owner's manual still in its plastic bag with the original guide blocks as he had changed it over to cool blocks when he bought it.

I've only had this on rare occasions, mainly when it's off, parked, unlocked and not even touching the panic button.

Some Karen designed it, my 05 4x with the cummins also randomly locks the back drivers side door. So irritating. Backing my boat in and open the door and it honks at me, drives me nuts. Also waiting in line, turning it off for a few, starting it to move forward and it gives me three loud chimes. Jees Karen.
Good jod!!
nailed it!

Hahah I picked one of these up a few months back and it's been a beast I love it, I use 9" circular saw blades in mine and it's perfect (Freud combo, thin kerf) Harbor freight sells 8.25" table saw blades that work just fine as well for brute work. I don't have a riving knife but mine has the original guard that has the splitter.... Be sure to use a feather board though. Someone before me welded the problematic fence side with a wingnut, looks a bit ghetto but works perfect Don't kid yourself if you get this thing dialed in its pretty accurate, I built some beautiful cabinets and shelving in our house out of Ashwood with it.
Wow I can't believe you made this video. I acquired this same saw back in 2017 and I am just now getting it working (along with the Rockwell Model 10 radial arm saw). These units are probably from the 80's I'm guessing, maybe 70's. The whole kitchen in my farm house was built with these two saws, Rockwell was a good company.
Yooo, I'm making a 1/4 model 2. im wondering what motor your using?
I think that's an RS-385 SH
Sorry for the late reply. From my google search that's just about like the one I used, I used a 12,000RPM version (no load speed). Works well, I used that for my Screamer S10 and the Thunderbolt I'm building. I just realized too I never posted a run video of this one, I'll do that soon. Check out my 2T22 as well if you'd like.
get under truck and Lub the shifting rods by transmicon
I appreciate this video bro, anyway you do a video on that rear fence locking mechanism. I think mines missing something back there, it freely swivels & I'm wondering if a longer bolt will lock it in since I no longer have the turn handle on top, just a bolt. Thanks for the video upload man
I had the same problem, I had to 3D print a little knob that took up the space it needed to clamp down but that started failing on me recently
I appreciate your reply! Any update on what you wanna do regarding a riving knife/splitter? I'm thinking about buying a factory splitter & just leaving the translucent guard off but idk for sure yet
@@DakGuy05Can you explain at 2:02 in your video what is clamping onto what on the back of that rip fence? Looks like the knob / threaded rod threads into a square blocky piece with a thin T shape plate on the bottom? And the knob just adjusts the height of that block to where it meets with the back aluminum rail - you can see the wear on the rail from this T shape cross piece. Does this T shape plate have a key that goes into that mitre slot, it looks like it? I think I am missing that part on the back of my fence and may have to fabricate something. I'm just thinking this rear knob doesn't clamp anything, just adjusts the height, and the clamping occurs from the front? Or maybe I've got it wrong if you can help would be much appreciated. These saws are rare.
Can I have STL files?
Hey thanks for showing off your saw! I acquired one just like it from a neighbor moving away. It's not in as good shape. I'm struggling with swapping out blades, though. Do you know if it has an "arbor lock", so that the shaft doesn't turn when you are tightening the nut?
Sure thing, glad I can bring something to the vintage tool world. I never found one, I believe you need a thin wrench on the other side of the blade to hold it. I used vise grips on the blade and it worked ok.
After taking that table insert out, you should be able to jam a piece of wood into the front of the blade to hold it from spinning while turning the nut clockwise (left hand thread) with the provided flat wrench (if lost maybe an adjustable crescent wrench will work). If there is no blade (and the nut is on tight), or if your threads are gummed up, according to the manual, "If it is difficult to remove the blade nut the motor shaft can be held steady by inserting a screwdriver through the hole in the right side of the saw cabinet and into the slot in the motor shaft. the motor must be in the top position when doing this."

hey were did you get the fenders for that dually because it looks amazing
Do you know if you can adjust the alarm sensitivity. Like a dial like other vehicles.
It's not the security system, it's the truck's response to being in reverse with the door open
Nice perfect tone
Thanks this was my problem also.
