I filmed a short clip of the ramp going up while working there on the 19th hoping to add it to this footage...

Trucks are seen arriving with boards to lay across the fields to gain access to the breach with vehicles etc. Video straight fr...

I was there it was amazing x
Wow !
I was there on my birthday it was one of the best nights ever x
very upsetting there was loads of life left in both of these ships
You having a laff. Clapped out , past it.
I was my birthday and is still one of the best ever birthdays ever I was there amazing
And the pride of York, was moored for 9 month, free of charge. Then she got shown door .
Pride of Bruges. Good old ship. Not a patch on NORLAND.😢
Nice footage Dave
I've only sailed on the Pride of Hull.and Pride of Rotterdam on the Hull - Rotterdam route. Do those ships still.exist or have they gone now as well
Is she still working?
Yeh there were some delays a while back but her and Fusedale H are working still, this one is back on the aggregates run early next month
@@Daveyboat great long may it continue. Short of getting the Humber keel barges back sailing commercially this has to be the way ahead for the environment.
Soo schade ❤ Eine Zeitenwende zur Trauer!
Stop whining on. The route was taking no money The ships were too old. End of.
That’s polar surveyor ?
Yeh that's correct 👍
Crepes goes slow but he just move fast
Vessels name?
Nansen Explorer
Nice to see the old NSF lettering still firmly on her - they remain with her in her new guise as GNV Antares
Clapped out tub.
best ship 🚢and best crossing from the U.K. and the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Awesome video Daveyboat and lovely music too! Subscribed for more!! 🙂👍
Cheers mate, it's just a default track off mi phone lol, I wanted to do it like the Sea Challenger video but I can't remember what I used to do the video , was something on mi phone but can't think 🤣
Woow brilliant bit of flying there mate looks awesome really cool video keep it up buddy Don 🤠🇬🇧👍👍👍👍. I subscribe to you friend
Thankyou, I couldn't keep up with the first tug once she got going, the drone gimbal tilts when in sport mode and looks horrible on playback so had to manage in normal mode and filmed what I could. 👊😎
Loved that ship sad to see it end it’s life with P&O ferries
We’re is it now ?
Now named GNV Aries, currently in Naples
Now the ship sails with her sister in Italy. P&O is a company in decline to the point we used Stena for the last 5 years.
Lovey ship
DWP should be ashamed of themselves (I doubt it), but its a testament to the build quality of both vessels that they will live on for a few more years yet as the GNV Aries & Antares. Would have been a travesty if they were just beached at Alagia or Alang.
That inner dock ferry berth with never be used by passenger ships again .
I have sailed on the Pride of York. A lovely vessel. The service will be missed by many.
👌👌
Never got to travel on this or her sistership. I know Covid has knackered international travel, but the withdrawal of the ships seems a bit knee-jerk. The point is, it will come back, but P&O won't make the best of it when it does. P&O used to be a proper player in ferry travel, in a minute they'll be going down the swanny. As for those who worked and travelled on these ships, obviously gutting, I can see these were fine vessels. This will ultimately be a further financial victory for Stena, and a loss to the travelling public of a valued amenity. Always sad to see a fine ship leave these shores.
Excellent aerial footage.
Great Capture BUD well done, regards TJK UK.
did you get the drone back
No mate this is a new one
@@Daveyboat i think the mavic 3 is out in march
Brilliant video mate really nice flying there mate great job don 🤠🇬🇧👍👍👍👍
First flight with my new drone (Mini 2) ,well chuffed with it so far. Thanks, your comment is much appreciated 👊😎
We have been loyal customers too.. been to Bruge many times on both vessels and to Amsterdam a few times on the pride of Rotterdam ..so gutted to hear this news..very sad
Gutted! The best start to our regular family holiday ever : ) great staff, great food and drink, great entertainment, great facilities, great ship
Love You Pride of Bruges and Pride of York... Just Love You
first class dave
Bye NORSUN !
Lovely video, brilliantly shot and edited, and such a shame there will be no more direct link to Zeebrugge. I loved Pride of Bruges, and remember her over many years.
I agree such a shame lots of life left in those ships & why does all good things come to and end?.. Good video
Such a shame as there's loads of life left in both of those ships :(
Beautiful video ther mate really cool flying great job on it mate don 🤠🇬🇧👍👍👍👍💜
I personally will never travel with P and O again after many years of loyal custom. The closure of the Zeebrugge route has been coming for a long time Underinvestment has finally caught up with them.
Sad. P&O's owners should be ashamed of themselves.
!
Guess it will be a significant loss to the port and much missed. Remember Norland and Norwind? Those were the days!! :)
I was a “dagger boy” for her launch. I built the bulbous bow, the bridge, and stern. Lost a good friend and fellow apprentice, we walked to the yard every day together, through the industrial estate n over trails, mighty shortcuts 👊😞 RIP James 💕. A very fine ship, if I may say so? And the largest of her kind in the world i think.
Just watched her refit video, this ship has at least another 10 years left in her. What a travesty,I think all the ship companies will regret scrapping ships early.
I tried to book the Zb to Hull ferry yesterday, thought it strange no fares were returned for the dates. Then I read about it being discontinued, this saddened me somewhat. The first time I used it was 4 years ago, just after getting married. I live in Switzerland, but originally come from Liverpool hence the reason choosing this route (relatively short drive from Hull). It was the first time to Lpool with my little girl so it will always hold dear memories, RIP pride of Hull!
It’s currently moored on the riverside berth as we speak!!!!! 🧐
I know mate, this was final sailing from In Dock on Zeeb run, hence the title. She'll be gone for good (well not for good but ya know what I mean) after She's covered for Pride of Hulls scheduled drydocking. Are you Andys brother Steve????
Yeah I’ve just found that out ( I work for ABP ) apparently she’s been stripped and cut up by the end of this year! No pal, worked with him for a bit but no relation
@@steveo2053 I'd heard She was gonna be sold on but rumourville is rife atm. I have local shipping stuff on a Facebook page if you're interested just search Boatman on the Humber and I'll add ya 👍
It was P&o’s terminal manager that told me that!! God knows!! I don’t have Facebook pal or I would’ve done!!
@@steveo2053 ah right ,might be some weight in that then, shame. No worries 👍
Our favourite route. Hope it will get reinstated soon. Rotherham is a bit out of the way. Still , its better than Dover Calais.
Should be Rotterdam!
