I saw other interviews of Isaacson and it is evident he has lot objectivity. Musk is a major jerk lacking moral integrity, but he cannot acknowledge it and instead talks about all his business accomplishments, because people don't want to buy a book about a jerk.

Ken Burns is in with Clarence Thomas and Harlan Crow. He's lost all credibility in my opinion. Makes me wonder about the validity of every history piece he's done, how he bent it to cowtow to Crow.

Life long learning is much different from 'deep reading', Ken Burns doesn't get it. It's not about the content but rather the process and the medium of literacy, which creates self determination.

A good panel. But how like the U.S> to usurp the title that the concept of democracy and equality stemmed from them, from Jefferson. Surely a bit of classical reading will point to the ancient Greeks (remember the origin of the word 'Democracy') - and of Socrates in particular, will help. Socrates himself struggled tremendously with the 'purity' and practicality of the concept.

Only in America, the celebrated academics are not familiar with concepts central to national identity. Prof. Richardson's unfamiliarity with the meaning of the First amendment (I just saw her babbling in some letter) is not surprising at all. After all, in this country, justices don't know what is a woman, university presidents don't know that genocide is not a good thing and Prof. Richardson herself doesn't know that the demented shouldn't lead a country (pretend interview with Joe Biden - last month) Maybe in some three hundred years Americans will have genuinely decent (and not just heavily marketed) universities. At this moment, we just have Hollywood preschool dropouts lecturing zombie graduates of Claudine Gay universities to the applause by genuinely illiterate worshippers of PBS/NPR and their diversity successes (100% Democrats, 0% Republicans) dr anna
