Im a 22 pool brush tech, my boss today put a polaris in my truck and told me to go install it, I did after watching this and the client asked me questions like I’ve been installing for 40 years Thanks! Great clear and well spoken video!

Same thing as all the other videos in the instructions they show you measuring the hose to the swivel not to the end of the Polaris so I'm still confused The feed hose should be the length of the pool and the leader hose should be the depth of the pool otherwise it's not going to be long enough am I missing something

I wish I had seen this when I bought my Polaris. Only instruction I had was to cut the tube 18" past the the longest distance from the pump hole. I have been living with daily entanglements since I bought it. Next step is to fix it based on this great video.

I dont think you need 30-40 wraps from your main line! I always use 10-12 wraps and its always worked just fine. Its over kill with that many wraps from your main line to your leader. 10-12 works just fine anything more is ridiculous!😎

This was a WONDERFUL how-to video! I watched others that were terrible! Also learned about the reasons for cutting, lubricating connections, tip for bag control. Todd, people in Frisco TX are lucky to have you! We started to install by ourselves, which would have been possible except for arthritic knees, back, hands. I forwarded the video link to our pool professional for his review, and he will be here in afew days AFTER we stretch out the hose & tail in the sun.

Why are you putting lube on where the hose goes on the feed pipe and why would you ever pick up the sweep by the hose and throw it in the pool. I cringed watching you do that. Had to stop watching this video.

Jim Shanafelt 5/25/23 I put off for a couple of days installing my new Polaris-39 after reading the instructions. Just knew it would be very frustrating. Cool Pool People hit it out of the park. Perfect!!! Making instructional videos shouldn’t be that hard. You make your video and then run it by a few people and see where they get confused. You made my day!!!

I think it is very unlikely there will be similar blackouts in the future, the political fallout would be catastrophic. The power system has been hardened against future events. North Texas; an oven in the summer and a freezer in the winter :(

why not just winterize the pool like everyone does north of texas.. drain below skimmer, drain all equip, cover pool, relax for 2-3 months.

OMG!! Thank you soooo much for making this video. I live in Haslet, Tx. and my pool and equipment always seem to be more susceptible to freezing than my neighbors. We live in a cul de sac and we get all the wind from the north and south, depending on which way its blowing that day, across my pool. This video has been LIFE CHANGING for me. My husband always seems to be out of town when the freezing weather hits, so its me trying to keep things from freezing. I usually have to turn the breaker off and pull all the drain plugs just to keep my pool pipes from freezing, but then the top of the pool freezes because no water is circulating. For this current freeze, Jan. 29, 2023, going on now in North Texas, I have implemented your video and I am totally amazed and full of relief that I don't have to worry about anything with the pool. Yes, my husband is out of town again. lol

Thank you for making this video. I made a shelter over my pool equipment with the pump running non-stop this week before a cold front hit. I used 3 blankets, a tarp, and a 45 Watt incandescent bulb in a fixture similar to yours. I placed a digital thermometer w/transmitter inside the shelter, and over 72 hours, the temperature inside the shelter ranged from around 55 degrees to around 48 degrees. That was with outdoor temperatures as low as 11 degrees with windy conditions. I never would have guessed a 45 Watt bulb would do the work, but it did. Thank you guys.

Thanks for the video. I have also had success in North Texas the last few winters by stacking bags of bark mulch (and maybe pool furniture cushions) to insulate. Then cover the whole thing with a tarp. I then use the bark mulch in the spring flower beds. Thanks.

I put a tie wrap on the hose to keep the bag up and not slipping down. Getting those hose cuts correctly done is the number one way to prevent tangles. And having fresh swivels every season or two.
