Bravo!, Bravo!, Bravo!, Brian and Sarah. Your journey was incredible. Thank you for sharing it with me and everyone else. Brian, your humble, matter-of-fact, narration of your videos of incredibly beautiful scenery was captivating. Your videos were the equivalent to "must watch" TV for me. l applaud your toughness, adaptability, and sensibility. Sarah, Brian obviously was not exaggerating when he said he couldn't have done this without you. Your always pleasant mood, indispensable logistical support, and cool quilting were great. Now, Brian and Sarah, a few questions: 1. What 3 things are you most glad you did during this adventure? 2. What 3 things do you wish you had not done? 3. What 3 things would you do differently?
Congrats on the journey completed! I've been watching every day!
Another vlogger is Old Man on the CDT. 2024 he hiked the CDT, 2023 he hiked the AT, and 2021 maybe, he hiked the PCT. Each trail he changes his vlog name to Old Man and the "trail". He does daily vlogs. I also really like Goob's Adventures, not daily, but more like your style of hiking. Cheers!
Thank you for sharing your epic journey, I enjoyed watching your videos every morning. I hope that you continue to do videos as you embark on your new adventures. I visited New Hampshire once, during the Fall, stayed in Bethlehem, and hiked near Bretton Woods, I think the area was called Crawford Notch? It was gorgeous there! I hope that Sarah's mother is recovering well. Take care.
@@G.Photogirl Glad you enjoyed it, Sarah and I love it here in New Hampshire. Crawford Notch is a popular spot and very pretty in all four seasons!
Thanks for the last push of a post PCT vlog update. So appreciated and enjoyed. Congratulations…what an amazing accomplishment!
I agree with the above recommendations, also not daily but check out Jaru Walks who is currently up to the CDT doing a calander year Triple Crown thisn year, continuous footpath.
@@CJoy076 Will check that out as well, thanks.
@@ThirstyAlpinist You are the two hikers I've watched this year and I think he passed you maybe in northern california, I sort of remember you commenting about the guy doing 30-mile days or something. Two completely different ways of hiking, I'm more your style, but man, it's fascinating watching Jaru.
Can’t wait
Praying for Sarah's mother and full recovery. Congratulations!!
Congratulations!! Well done. I will be at a loss , not having you to follow every morning at 9.
@@Sandy-nl1eq Haha, thanks! Hopefully I’ll be part of your morning routine again in 2026!
Great job, congratulations!
Other PCT vlogs "Hiking Dancer" and "Travel Write Paint" did continuous footpath and have been doing after trail videos also.
Hiking Dancer was great! I also enjoyed cambostock this year.
@@lesliedykstra4014 Thanks, I saw they were both very popular and will check them out!
You should have kept that old pink hoodie and put it in nice frame over your fireplace.😀😀
So Agree 👍 😂
Fun road trip home, curious what your part time gig work is?
Do you know Bob Pickering? or Burd?
Perfect! Making it to the monument and no one was there, what an incredible moment of celebration! I've started out twice from Mexico, but missed home so got off trail, I think I'll make another go of it in 2026. You did an awesome job of showing how you managed the reroutes with connected steps. I think next to this video, the other favorite was when you made it up and over the area in the Sierra. Congratulations!
@@rikkibogue It was a special moment having the border all to myself for a while. That Over the Top reroute to bypass the (now repaired) South Fork San Joaquin bridge in the Sierra was a big unknown and a huge relief once I completed it. Good luck in 2026, maybe I’ll see you out there!
Way to go!
Congratulations!
Way to go Brian!! I was a bit sad to see the sun hoody didn’t get bronzed and auctioned off for charity, but have really enjoyed following you on this adventure! If you make it over to Germany, let me buy you a beer!
@@chrisstewart1168 Thanks! I’ll take you up on that beer some day!
That morning view with the clouds and rainbow 🌈 were indicative to what was to be probably one of the most memorable days of your life. Congratulations on your massive accomplishment, conquering the complete PCT! 🎉💪🏼 I cried watching as you approached the terminus in Canada 🇨🇦 the weight of that moment, I was just amazed at the feat of human endurance. Well done, sir! You should've framed that hoodie!
@@G.Photogirl Thanks, that rainbow was awesome! Sarah would not let me bring my beloved hoody back home 😂
Congratulations Thirsty. I’ve watched all of your episodes. You’re an inspiration for me. Thank you for sharing your journey.
@@GrannyandPo Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome! What a treat this was watching you hike for the past few months. Congratulations!
@@TheReallavaman281 Thanks!
Congratulations Brian! That old ratty sun hoody pulled you through all those miles on the continuous foot path. What a great accomplishment. Thank you!
@@kirkdesmond The most comfortable piece of clothing I ever owned!
Congrats on the journey!

Congratulations, wow, what a journey, Thank you for taking us with you. A shout out to your support team (Sarah).

Congratulations Thirsty your inspiration for those older folks like me. 🎉
Congratulations!! So amazing and such an incredible accomplishment! I have enjoyed your journey on the PCT. Thanks for sharing it with us!
@@amywirtz6881 Thanks for watching!
Congratulation and thank you for sharing the journey with us.
Congratulations man! Very impressive. I've been following since you entered Oregon. Thanks for bringing me along.
Congratulations Thirsty. I've got some questions, but I'll save them for later. For now, many thanks for bringing us along. Appreciate all the efforts you put in to sharing the trek. Just amazing!
I was "running behind" your video uploads and finally pushed and caught up with this video. You are one of two vloggers this year that I watched all the way through beginning to end. Am really excited to see Day 172!!
@@richardinjapan4578 Thanks for watching! Who was the other vlogger you watched?
There is a story about one fellow who had thru-hiked the PCT once, and several years later he set off to do it again. At Campo some other hikers asked him what was his goal in hiking the trail a second time. His reply: Stehekin -- I need a cinnamon bun. If I don't get to the border, I don't care. I just need to get to the Stehekin bakery!
@@richardinjapan4578 Getting to the Stehekin bakery would be all the motivation I would need for another PCT thru-hike!
Lack of hikers despite cars in the trailhead parking → hunters??
@@richardinjapan4578 Makes sense, still wonder where all of them were camped
Boulder Pass -- sounds like the Sierra passes with more vegetation and more oxygen.
@@richardinjapan4578 True.
Wow! Incredible.
You're getting emotional in your reflections whether you will admit or not. Looking forward to the closing.
It's been great following your journey this year Brian, I found you in the first few days when I typed PCT 2024 into You Tube, you are the daily vlog type I enjoy watching. Congratulations on your achievement and thanks for sharing it with us. I look forward to another thru sometime. The PCT seems so spectacular, I'm certainly dreaming about doing it myself sometime
@@CJoy076 Hopefully you can make it happen, dreams can come true!
Congratulations Brian ! Thanks for taking us along. Been following you daily since May from Hawaii Island, base of Mauna Loa. Truly enjoyed every day.
@@user-dn6us3qt8c That’s awesome, thanks for watching!
Well NOW what am I going to watch with my coffee in the morning??! Do it again! Haha
@@nicolelerner Haha! I’ll be back!!
Me too!
Perhaps Stevens Pass was less crowded because many PCT hikers take a town day in nearby Leavenworth.
🎉🎉🎉
Congratulations on completing your journey I really enjoyed this series. Soak up the last day!
@@tomhansen1385 Thanks!
Amazing! I feel like I've virtually hiked this trail, thank you. Consider writing a book about your experience. Sarah's completed quilt is equally rewarding and very impressive.I have so many questions, you should do a live stream.
So close!
2,600 continuous miles on foot, and counting- it's just unbelievable!! Congratulations on your commitment to maintaining a continuous path as you approach the end of your journey 👍🏼 I'm wondering, how are you feeling emotionally as you near the end? Is it bittersweet? Are you looking forward to it being over with? There was another thru hiker I was watching (his name escapes me) but on his channel he was describing some sadness that his journey was ending. I'm just wondering what the transition is like for someone who's spent so many months alone on the trail to going back to a life of work, city, or relating to others in the day to day interaction. I would imagine there would be an adjustment period. I don't know if you are retired or not so that may make it easier. Lastly, Sarah's range quilt is absolutely gorgeous!!
@@G.Photogirl I’ve been off the trail for a month, but Sarah and I spent about 2 weeks on a road trip making our way back to New Hampshire, so I’ve been on a regular routine at home for 2 weeks now. I was glad to finish the trail only because I wanted to beat the snowy storms that can start in the Northern Cascades in early October, otherwise I would have been happy for more trail miles. It’s great to be back home, but I do miss the trail. I am retired from a full time career, but I do a little part time work. What helps a lot for me is starting to plan all of the backpacking trips Sarah and I will do next year along with planning for more thru hikes in 2026, 2028, etc. I’m 56 and realistically only have about 10 years left to do long 2,000+ mile thru hikes. I would like to complete the Triple Crown and also repeat the PCT before then!
@ThirstyAlpinist I admire your dedication and how you don't let age deter you from these arduous accomplishments! It's inspiring. I'm 60, and enjoy hikes here and there, and whenever I feel tired on the trail I think of you and the miles that you put it everyday and it helps motivate me. Thank you, and I hope that even though you are finished with this PCT hike you continue to share other hiking adventures on your channel! You should book some speaking engagements to share your story (if you haven't already)! 😊
Wow! The Quilt! Spectacular!
Amazing views for Brian and amazing looking quilt!
Those baked goods look delicious! 😋
@@G.Photogirl They were amazing! I want to go back for another round!
That thunder box looks like a Tesla truck 🤣
@@G.Photogirl Strangest thing I saw in the backcountry!
@@ThirstyAlpinist 😂
That bakery has their customers sorted!
I also did this detour, although I learned the day after finishing it that they had reopened the closed area on the second day that I was doing the detour haha. Spider Gap to Suiattle Pass was all really beautiful, some of the best of Washington on my PCT hike.
