Lockeland Strings
United States
Приєднався 26 лют 2020
Lockeland Strings is an organizing focused on creating a community to bridge the gap between the local Nashville songwriter scene and the world of classical music. We bring together local Nashville composers, singer-songwriters and musicians to create a collaborative and creative space. Each month we give a portion of our proceeds to a different local non-profit in an effort to bring awareness to their specific contribution within our community. The shows are an intimate listening environment where the audience can connect on a deeper level with both the performers and one another.
Lockeland Strings started three years ago in a living room. It has since grown into a concert series with performances in some of Nashville's finest rooms and spaces, including The Parthenon and Southern Ground Studios.

Awesome version of an awesome song.
So good ❤
yay!!
WOW! Just when you were thinking there were no more great melodies or lyrics for singwriters to pull out of the ether, along comes Katie Pruitt.
Omg I think I love her more than life itself!!!!! What a wonderful set and backing musicians!!!
I've listened to this and the Electric Lizard on repeat for about a week straight now.
You have a very lovely voice.
I love your sound
Gorgeous voice. I have just learned Katie Pruitt is “already” famous (very). I found her via the company whose guitar strings she’s using here, and thoight, “THRY should promote this angelic voice first, then say ‘abd guess what, SGE uses OUR strings?” Yet so it already was. I know there are beautiful voices “out there” that never get recognized or widely heard, for a variety of reasons. Some like a woman whose name elides me, appreciated by some famous artists who heard her singing in clubs in (of all places) Washington, DC… the young woman dudnt appreciate her own talent as much as those who heard her, but got record deals (when it was harder to go it alone). I gave her first album to friends who CAN recall her name and still thank me for the musical introduction (one friend listens nearly every day). The singer died in her mid-thirties from cancer. That is an unusual way for the world to lose a young singer, or for few ever to hear her name, much less her voice. I think it’s Eva Cassidy. (“Tall Trees in Georgia”… perhaps Katie Pruitt has covered that song… it would be perfect with Ms. Pruitt, too.)
Two of my new favorite performers here… Angela Autumn and Kaitlyn Raitz hiding in the background!! This is brilliant. ❤
love!!
SO TALENTED
Katie I don’t know you but your soul shines through so bright, it makes for a connection beyond the limitations of body or mind. I feel musical and lyrical kinship. Thank you for your divine and gorgeous medicine. Beautiful arrangements.
Isn’t this basically blackbird by the Beatles?

Cece is my second most-played artist of 2024, and 'Whatever' is my most-played song from any artist this year! Thank you for this new way of experiencing this perfect song!! 😊
Really beautiful! I've saved it!
♥️
Can’t wait!
Enchanting ❤️
Beautiful👏
I need this!
Yes!!🎻
What a great composer was BURT. You can feel the emotion in the vains of this melody. One of Burt`s last compositions. BURT was a real composer. A musician in every way. Everthing what he has written are topnotch. BURT R.I.P. and thank you soooo, soooo much for all the great songs!
The good news is that this is well arranged and performed. Love the strings, Daniel's singing, but please, where in the information (title, description) does it once mention Bacharach's name? While some (in the comments below) appear to know Bacharach wrote this (one of his last songs). I would guess that a lot of people would have no clue. I'm a boomer and Bacharach is a music "idol" from my generation. I love his distinctive style and the amazing number of hits he churned out over the years. I do think he probably misses Hal David, his ol' lyricist.
great song
Gorgeous song, beautifully sung infused with the genius of Bacharach.
This is both a song of longing and melancholy. In light of Bacharach's passing the other day, this leaves me emotional and teary.
i can listen to her for weeks on end
I'm not worthy...
Thank you.
This Bacharach genre is perfect for Daniel. Please pursue this direction.
