I love the quick and dirty solutions. The only thing I can't figure out is why use a french cleat system if everything is just screwed to the cleats? I'm assuming it comes in handy in other areas. Lord, this is how my grandfather did his shop. He performed miracles in there. I love this old school approach to shop management.

I'm absolutely going to use the 'prototype' tip. Who knows, my husband may begin to believe that I'm competent. "Wow. She really goes the extra mile. I've never spent the time and effort trying out a prototype. I guess that would make the real project more polished." Edit: It doesn't matter that the wall is the same color. It looks *cleaner* and more put-together. Makes a real difference.

These videos have really brought me down to earth and made shop organization and set up seem approachable. Most of the other channels are way out of my league. How does anyone afford tools when they're putting so much money into cabinetry and an heirloom workbench? (Aren't workbenches supposed to be able to tolerate abuse? I don't want to tremble and cry if I screw through a plywood piece and into the bench top or knock a chip out of the top with the slip of a hand planer.) I need to set my shop up fast so I can get WORK done. I don't have time to be too precious about it. I can see putting effort into getting my assembly table level and square and I need things to be strong and stable, but I can't see the point of wasting money on drawer slides and handles for the miter bench or taking a month to customize wall storage with expensive wood and sheet goods. This is my grandfather's way. Function over form 100%. (He did the jar lids screwed under shelves trick.) If it works for you, it's doing its job.

This really helped me more than you know. I've been sucked into one specific design (Proper DIY How to Make Easy Workshop Drawers from 1 Sheet of Plywood with Basic Tools - and about a dozen others), but honestly, this one is simpler, easier to glue up, *uses less plywood*, and actually gets me another inch of usable drawer space side-to-side. For what I need, this really is the way to go. Thanks for helping me stop overthinking this.

Ignore the haters, people spend 3-4 times what you spent on this on a mobile phone. As a hobby tool its not bad priced, i know i will be saving up for one. Thanks for the review, and again there is nothing wrong with admitting on these videos that your not an expert, most of us are not, we just want it as a hobby like you do, and others do.

I like your review Not everyone is an expert, and nothing wrong with admitting your short commins, you got this tool for your unique purposes, and it works for you. Ignore the haters, what you buy is none of there business, and like you said most of us cannot afford these things. But nice to see a non expert buying a tool like this for there purposes, and it works for you. Not everyone is a master carpenter, most of us are in this to learn for a hobby.

Makes me laugh because you watch all these clamp rack storage builds and they dont use a clamp for their jigs as they cut or drill. Then ssy safety first...

For pulls on drawers i used the botton end of a empty shotgun shell, just cut the plastic near the brass, take a nail and bump out the soent primer and run a screw thorugh the primer hole....done, nice pull knob

If you would stop pushing the saws into the wood, they'd both do much better.

When using the router place a waste piece of wood at the point of exit this will stop any blow out etc and save you having to use fillers 🧐.By the sounds of your problems it seems like it's the perfect time for a BBQ, the weather is great and I suggest you have some 🐓🐔 for your BBQ 🤔🧐. That's most of your problem's solved in one foul 🐔 stroke!!! I really do need to let you know that garage floors are NEVER level, they're designed for water to drain away from the car if it's been out in the rain and then put into one's garage 🫣😳😵‍💫😵‍💫. As always buddy 💯% 👍.

Great video again. You’ve done well on this build. It’s good to push yourself every now and again, it really makes you appreciate not having to do it any more once you’ve finished! It does look awesome though.

Excellent build! I've never actually seen a level garage floor. When I finished my first workbench, I noticed that it wasn't level. So I trimmed one leg slightly, only to find my new workbench still not level. I knew my measurements were exact when I cut the legs. After a lot more trial and error, I realized that my bench was level depending on the way I positioned it. Turn the bench slightly and watch it wobble.

The list of things you forgot was so short as to make me jealous. Continue one hole? Account for a wonky wall? You did great. I'm looking forward to seeing how this looks when completed. What's next, a Chippendale styled dining set?

Everyone needs a larger workshop! I cut larger sheets on chassis stands (sometimes with an old tabletop which can be cut). Saves from back pain. Loved to see that there was only the top veneer in the way, our walls are uneven, too. Maybe much more-and out of angle in every corner.
