      @Andreiux 2 дні тому

      @@Cyndaquilll It's still Linkin Park. Only 2 out of the 6 members are no longer here. Brad doesn't play in the shows but he is in the band. For a band to still be the same, in my opinion, there should be at least 50% of the original members in it. You could say that such a mathematical approach doesn't suit the circumstances but i simply believe that just because Chester is gone, it doesn't mean that the band is gone too. Yes he was extremely important and probably the single biggest catalyst when it comes to their sound but the band still has other 5 members. It was never Chester Bennington and co. I suspect that if another member died back in 2017 instead of Chester, like for example Rob or Phoenix, things would have been very different and i think something simillar to what Slipknot went through when losing Paul Gray, would have occured.

Once chester was gone, LP as we knew it was gone as well. I agree with that guy.. linkin park will not be linkin park with emily. She is good and I'm glad they're back but she's nowhere near chester's level in terms of singing ability or charisma. The one person who managed to redefine a band through her presence and be accepted by fans as a true succesor is Floor Jansen from nightwish. Can't think of anybody else except Brian from ACDC. You can't just replace singers and expect things to work as well as they did in the past. You can replace any other instrument but the human voice carries emotion and familiarity.

    • @vooligan9499

      Linkin Park didn't die with Chester, because Chester wasn't Linkin Park. He chose to leave the band in choosing to leave this plane of existence. If he chose to simply leave (and still be in this world) then people would happily listen with Emily. The band (original members prior to Chester) had every right to carry on and their new music is still fundamentally Linkin Park. I was devastated when Chester died, like many I grew up with Linkin Park close to my heart. But if Linkin Park introduced Emily as a third vocalist alongside Chester when he was still here then people would welcome her with open arms, she works with the band and their sound, the hate needs to stop. Chester isn't a martyr, he was an example of what living a self destructive lifestyle following years of torment and trauma can cause. He isn't a hero, he's an unfortunate victim of the trials of his life. His death shouldn't be being glorified and held as a reason for the band to stop doing what they love.

Get off your high horse buddy, language is fluid and gap filling with words such as "like" is due to having a lot of thoughts that you want to get out but don't want to lose track of where you're up to/be interrupted whilst pausing to think and instead filling the silence. Filler words exist, even some of the greatest writers and poets in history used words for that effect to some degree.

  • @RenegadeMaster_
    @RenegadeMaster_ 5 днів тому

    I don't have an issue with the singer; I genuinely hope she succeeds in the band. My concerns lie more with the fans than with Linkin Park itself. It seems they accept anything without criticism, which I believe has contributed to the decline in the band's music quality. Songs like 'Castle of Glass,' 'Guilty All the Same,' and the repetitive 'Keys to the Kingdom' exemplify this shift. Their last two albums were disappointing, and I doubt anyone will look back on 'The Hunting Party' or 'A Thousand Suns' with the same fondness as they do with 'Hybrid Theory' and 'Meteora.' Mike and the band were at their best when external pressures pushed them to produce better material, which is why we received some outstanding albums in their early years. It wasn't until they began collaborating with Rick Rubin that everything changed. Personally, I never embraced their new sound; I found 'Minutes to Midnight' to be merely decent, with several tracks that I believe were subpar. 'In Between' and 'Valentine's Day' stand out as some of the weakest songs in their discography. They transitioned from creating two masterful albums to producing records where I would skip through half the tracks. Additionally, the logo they've adopted, which some perceive as an 'illuminati' symbol, has been off-putting. It feels as though the band was drawn into a different direction after their mash-up with Jay-Z in 2004, and their music has suffered since then. The crux of the issue is that fans seem unable to provide honest feedback on what they hear. They appear too caught up in the world of 'likes' and views, often expressing sentiments like, 'Oh my gosh, this is the best song ever!' when, in reality, it is not. This kind of encouragement may lead the band to continue producing subpar material, knowing that fans will purchase it regardless. As for the upcoming album, I have little faith in Mike's decision-making or the direction the band is taking, and I have felt this way for quite some time.
