Could I possibly get the dimensions of your front tire? Mine runs in Reserve but only runs for a minute or 2 in On and then shuts off completely. And it just started doing it. I’m wondering if I picked something up in the tank? Replaced spark plugs and have a ton of sea foam in there with 94 octane but no joy.

Good video, I’m just rebuilding the petcock on mine. Did you have to totally drill the rivets out, and if so, did the replacement screws self tap ok ? I’m sure the straws inside are unfiltered, I can’t see anyway they have any mesh over them otherwise. Odd design really, but 80s bikes I guess ? Thanks for the upload, I’m totally rebuilding the engine on mine at the moment, and need to completely repaint the bike, and have cleaned the tank out, so much to do it’s a mess of a bike, which is a shame, but I’m getting there. Appreciate anything you can offer as tips. Thanks Rich 🇬🇧

I have the exact same bike, year, colour, mine is all stripped down as presently rebuilding it, engine et al, awesome looking. Mine had a compression issue, white smoke, water in the crank case, being the reason I’m rebuilding the engine, and the tank was like yours. I used citric acid, brought it up nice, after about two weeks, never used any liner as it sprouted no leaks. Carbs are rebuilt, just have the body work to do, as some moron hand painted it terribly, and then onto the forks, breaks, and get the engine back together. Uphill, but lots of fun doing it. I’m in the U.K., these bikes are a little rare here. Yours sounds awesome.
