Small Faces - Tin Soldier (Vocals Only)

My best attempt at creating a mix that highlights just the vocals on "Tin Soldier". The whole group and P.P. Arnold sing back-ups. You all know who sings that unbelievable lead.
Small Faces - Every Little Bit Hurts (true studio version)

This is what the song really sounded like when Small Faces recorded it in the studio. Every other mix of this song is a half-step lower as a result of the studio's tape machine running slow. This was recorded during sessions for the Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake album but wasn't included on the album's release; it was, however, intended to be the B-side of the unreleased "Rollin' Over" single in March...

An outstanding cover of a Tim Hardin classic; originally released on the compilation album 'The Autumn Stone' in late 1969

Recorded in mid 1967 during sessions for the "Marilú / Si Lo Supiera Mamá" 45 rpm single, released in May 1967. This track was never officially released.

Unreleased at the time of recording. This later became the Humble Pie song "Wrist Job"
Calhoun Square Service Corridor #2

Calhoun Square is in Minneapolis, MN. This service corridor is located between Sox Appeal and Kitchen Window.
It just never got better than this.
Brilliant cover of Tim Hardin's ode to heroin
They LISTEN to each other SO much.
Wrist job humble pie
Are you still made at me. Well at you or not.....
Who are you addressing?
4 Excellent Musicians ❤
had it not been for their terrible terrible management these gentlemen could have conquered the world far beyond what they achieved
They unfortunately sounded too quintessentially British to really hit it big in the US.
Bro that is 42 in Eros ceiling fan from Menards
what a band man and all their offshoot bands & projects too, great stuff
JUST LOVE THEM AND MISS THEM 😢😢❤!!!!
THEY WERE VERY LOVE ABLE ❤️ STEVE MISS YOU 😢😢!!!!
IF THEY HAD JUST LANDED FROM ANOTHER PLANET !!!!! THEY COULD BLOW ANYBODY AWAY !!!!! GREETINGS FROM HOLLAND
When Tin Soldier and Itchycoo Park came out I must have listened to them 50 times each, with the volume cranked up the maximum while heavily stoned. Wow did those 2 songs ever speak to me!
Is this available as a recording anywhere ?
Wow! I couldn't have said that any better x
this is the answer to that old question, if you were on a deserted island, what's the one thing? ... i could listen to these 4 guys play together all day long.
... oh, and Jimmy too
I love the Small faces and all music, but put me on a deserted island? I'll take Bach ,Beethoven, Brahms, Shostakovich, Stravinsky, Mozart, Handel, Rachmaninoff, Lennon - McCartney, and Beyonce! Guess which one that I am lying about.
I have so much Smalls History . I wont even start . Was there front row for their Melbourne gig in um 68 I think or 67 , whatevs im too old to remember . If you havnt danced with your Hot babe to Tin Soldier then you havnt danced . The Ancient Metal Guy . says cheers fucko's .
just beautiful
One of my favourite SF tracks, and a brilliant cover.
Puts ya right back in the thick of it, foot-tappin' , head shakin', thigh-slappin' music.. wow, simply brilliant
Only Kenny left now BUT their great sounds will stay, RIP boys
🤘
You might have to change the speed control by adding a new speed switch of the speed control to this ceiling fan that will never be wasted
Saw the great Steve Marriott perform live the late 80's. Best, most powerful soulful voice to ever come from UK. No one had/has a voice like him.
Yes great music art🎉❤
US 2024 but who for?
another great song that wasnt a hit was rene!!!
pure class
Man. That is just a fantastic collection of photographs, makes me want them back enjoying life and singing great songs.
Thumbs up just for the photo collection! But let's give credit: "Itchycoo Park" by the Small Faces actually STARTED the whole hippy movement.
Small faces were brilliant
such a great band...
This is as good as it gets
Set the ground for many..
Great to hear the correct pace and correct vocal but it's a shame how putting it right has messed with the bass.
Has a Grateful Dead vibe.
Agreed. But it's also so English, too...
Fantastic version of Tim Hardin's classic song. So bluesy!
Simply beautiful, so soulful...
I once read an article entitled 'The most perfect band Britain ever made' and it sums them up really. From folk, folk rock, soul, pop, blues, mind blowing intrumental tracks, heavy rock, psychedelia they had it all and I just love them.
Steve's scream at the end: Robert Plant copied it. But Steve did it first. And BEST.
Stevie just dropped some Billy Wizz and tells us what happened.....
That’s a TOC eros hugger actually and it’s 42”
Brilliant sound!
Rest in Peace Steve 🙏 We still miss you. The music lives on ☆☆☆☆☆
We had an all nighter in Birmingham in a little club the night we found out about his demise only mod songs all night. I think he'd be proud of our staying power lol
Love this version. Even more than Tim’s.
Sounds like: If I Were A Carpenter, so somebody ripped somebody off.
Tim Hardin ripped himself off . Both songs were written by him
Stevie did not think he was very good ?!! humble pie
Is that Steve on lead, or backing vocals (harmonizing) on this song? I know that it's characteristically him right after the piano solo, but at the start of the song, is that him also?
Steve sings all the vocals on this recording! Just brilliant…
@@donovaneidem3990 Thank you - yes, he is, obviously, a phenomenal singer, but also an extremely versatile singer. I love the song also, even though it's a cover by Tim Hardin, I think that they modified in a manner that gave such a cool and soulful vibe.
Always on my top shelf. 💥🇬🇧🏆👍 loved these guys since I was 8 years old when my dad used to play them at home in the seventies. Still today love their sound.
my favorite band since i was 11 years old...with my cousin we played these chords of these great blues
Sounds like If I was a Carpenter
