Hay I was in stream and I downloaded godot I couldn't start to make a game I just made a project and I can't make stuff in it can U help?
I would recommend taking a look at some tutorials online so that you can start to get familiar with the GUI. Then you should be in a good position to start learning about nodes, GDScript, and all the other parts of making a game in Godot!
Dude, you only have 1K subscribers, but your videos are better than any other UA-camr's, and your game looks good. Keep going!
Oh, wow, that last bit with the dungeon walls is SICK 😮
Hi, congratulations on reaching 1000 subscribers. I have a question. How to we make a 2d water shader that can reflect and have slow waves? That too with godot's tile map layer? Thank you. Also, how the hell these shaders work?😢. Couldn't find any proper documentation .
Big boy, am wondering how to make the game. I do typing on computer and using it but cannot function. How must this be done? I will using Gamer Maker Studio number one.

Question about game development. How can I get open source free assets 😅 Also make Multiplayer tutorial game, racing game, TPS or FPS action game or just platformer 2D game like Mini militia doodle army 2.
What about translate table?
2:58 "instantly break a player's immersion" just killed me 😂 Awesome video!
Honestly I prefer the non-hue shifted version, but I think thats purely a stylistic choice honestly, the non-huge shifted version feels more akin to a early snes game for example which I like, but this is totally opinion based.
revolutionary
Soo laggy. Any workarounds for lag?
Lag is usually caused by shadows, so I would only use them when necessary and minimize the number of light occluders you have in your scene. You can hide them when out of the camera, which could help a lot.
just use a custom lighting
Godot only makes it easy for suuuuuper simple lighting. It is very difficult to achieve "3 dimensinoal lighting" in 2d 😓
If you are looking for a more 3D look in Godot, I would probably recommend either making your game in 3D, or look into normal maps, which can make images look 3D without any real geometry.
I liked forager with belts, your game has potential. As for an an infinite sink, I think permutations and combinations could be a more interesting way. For example how each shuffle of a 52 card deck is probably unique to any other shuffle in human history, just because the way the math works out there's so many combinations (52! = 8 x 10^67). If that could be worked into research progression then perhaps it would be better than a simple number goes up like factorio infinite research etc. Maybe it would literally be like, just to use playing cards for an abstract example, you research the 3 of clubs, then you can click on that and research another card to make it a research branch. There are 3 main design problems to solve: 1) how to make that card permutation meaningful to game-play. Perhaps logarithmic; card 2 has a strength of 10 and card 3 has a effect of 100, I dunno. 2) How the permutations can be exchanged in the ingame economy to not be too rigid, 3) How to store it efficiently in memory. Yea, the sink is always the hardest part in game design
Awesome tips! I hope I can start creating a game that has this in it. Thanks! 😊
I'm sorry, I pirated your game. It's great though. I told a few friends about it and one of them bought it....We even stevens? 🙃
We're all good here 👍
Hello dude you released an update last day and theres a bug on multiplayer that you cannot place the new things from update. If you can please fix it. Thanks.
God I miss sugar free monster. Damn pregnancy lol.
Glad I found you guys. Will support when I can. Keep up the great work
im making something in godot aswell its cool seeing the community engine coming to life.
If you want the equivalent of a PhD in automation games, look into Minecraft Gregtech modpacks (SUSY, GTNH) and Factorio Pyanodon mods. Could show you another perspective on factory game design. Cool project tho.
I have seen many tutorials and I wasn't able to understand lighting at all, but this short is amazing, it got completely clear for me just in a few seconds
the colors in your youtube profile picture are basically jus the colors for the pan flag but 2 of them got swapped lol
Ohhh it looks so nice 😍😍😍
Is there ray tracing light? Or other lighting systems?
As far as I know, Godot does not have any native raytracing systems to use. The lighting system in 3D is quite a bit different from what I've shown off here, but you could also take a look at some custom raytracing shaders if that's something you really need.
The cheese time already had a cooldown 😭
This is exactly the game I was looking for! I even started working on something very similar myself a few months ago. Can't wait to play it when it's out!
I wish I could.... Boowomp :(
Bro starground is just the game i wanted that game is fire even in demo If i had full game my mind would blow Also make something like bow so you can fight enemies at range
1 billion dollars
i wish
is there a way to make the shadows on tiles not infinitely long? if i want a day night cycle and i want the shadow of the tile to just match the "height" of the shadow
I don't know of any native way to prevent that from happening, but there's a shader that seems to do exactly what you need github.com/jess-hammer/2d-shadows-demo-godot
Banana + gun = banana gun
Bro, legalised nuclear bombs
Looks like a cool game keep up the good work 😎👍🏿
Will there be parrying?
just another copy of forager
Thorium reactor in mindustry in nutshell
Did not expect to see a fellow mindustry player on a random video lol
@@ksir119 I mean mindustry quite famous,no?
@@fishingnxjMindust only has around 50M players so running into one is hard
I meant 5M
can i put it into towers¿
Bro just made a worse forager
I mean forager is pretty bad so a worse version of something bad would be something good
Add radiation so plants can no longer grow in the area maybe make it so the wind slowly spreads the radiation and lowers the spawn rate of resources
That could be a cool idea
is this game free
It’ll be $10 on early access release, otherwise there’s a free demo to try out on the Steam page.
@@BBGDev :(
What engine did u make this in? Looks cool
Much appreciated! It’s made in Godot.
Isnt this basically just Forager
Thank hell I thought I was the only one thinking this
Game name?
It's called Starground (link in the description)
Thats just the nuke from forager
Worse factorio?
Not everything factory base is factorua clone
“it’s just a prank bro” you turned my fucking multi million dollar factory into CHERNOBYL
Just got the name, "Big Boy Games"
Lets Go!!!
