WE PUT 671 GMC BLOWER ON A JUNKYARD 350 SBC!
Do you set your float bowls at the bottom or the middle of the sight holes?
How do you make it surge?
Beautiful
The blower is the size of the small block
Hahaha
Did you gap the rings?
No I did not, i just put the blower on. Look up my last video to see how it runs in the chevelle I put it in.
That’s the best thing to do to a deuce since nobody seems to know how to make a rear wheel that tucks in
Trump 2024
Very nice!
Appreciate it
Bad Ass!!
I was not one of them! 350 block is iconic. Classic cheap American horsepower. Helps that the blower is twice the size of your powerplant too. To maintain the channel name ya know. Is it going to hold? As a Ase Master Mechanic of 25 years? No. Will it be glorious until then? Yes.
That's my dream.
I know that truck. It’s a Ford F*(kin Ranger!!!!
That it is
👍👍

Love the Flames. Fine looking Ride😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
Appreciate it, thank you
👍👍
Could have cut this vid in half. Say it 1 times and just doit
That’s got be be one of the badest cars around
👍👍👍👍
Are you going to "See what happens"? and is this all "used stuff"? I feel like you didnt specify those two things in the video.
That gives me hope
Just keep picking away at it you'll get it.
As a high performan engine builder that thing sounds like a high performance Hoover vacuum cleaner.🤦
We FINALLY get set off to the side around 4:54 mark........
KISS theory in action!
Directions unclear… Are we or aren’t we setting the world on fire?😅😅
What pulley size did you end up running on the stock engine? Im doing the same setup and looking for somewhere to start on a stock 350.
I have a 38 tooth on top and 40 on the bottom. It is over driven because this is an old blower so I wasn't sure on what boost it would put out but I will change things up when I figure out the actual boost it creates. Ideally you don't want anymore then 5 or 6 pounds with factory cast pistons.
@@70sStreetFreak that was my thought. I have an old Detroit that was gas converted and was trying to figure out. I found some cheap 8mm local to me. 55 top and 50 bottom. About 9ish under drive. I think that should be a decent spot to start.
@@fixedroofcoupe I'd try that that sounds like a good spot.
You did a fantastic job on the nova.
Thanks I appreciate it
Beautiful car
Awesome car
absolutely awesome, loved it
Thanks much appreciated
Wow that chevelle is a 50k car where i live. Goona be cool with a blown small block.
Thanks, I'm excited to see how it looks myself
Hell Yeah!
NicE
Thanks
Oh man love that Chevelle ❤️❤️❤️. Will be so C👀L to see what the blower motor will do in it. 🦶🏾
She either loves you or you really love her. I'm thinking you really love her.
Slightly rusted signifies no holds bard What a street freak Might as well get twisted with it. I see room for another blower with the hood out of the way
Nice, sounds real good, thank you for the update on your project
Thanks for watching
Hot stuff!!!!
Hahaha
sounds real good - is that the factory cam shaft ? , is that a 1970 nova gasser ?
Yes it is watch my over videos I have one of it.
I just sold my 302, and I'm glad it has a good home where it is appreciated because I didn't like it. I can guarantee they never ran 12's in factory trim. I had mine in my '68 Camaro with a roller cam, single plane intake, 4.88 gears, open headers and 10 inch slicks. I launched it at 6000 rpm's and shifted at 7500. The best it ran was 12.86 @ 110 mph, and I had to abuse the engine and was fearful of a rod flying out every time I raced it to run 12's. I suppose they could run quicker, but you'll need to get rid of those junk heads. They were the king 50 years ago, but not today. The TRW pistons they used are way too heavy, the rods are weak compared to todays stuff. The crank is a nice piece. Chamfer the oil holes and call it good. Get a better intake and ignition and see what it does.
Do you think it could be quicker if it had an automatic behind it?
Possibly. The 302 makes no torque. When I put 3.73 gears in my car it killed what bottom end I had. Anything under 4,000 rpms launces on street tires would almost stall the engine. I would have experimented more with engine, but they sell for decent money if they're still in one piece. I would run a very loose convertor and very low gears. A trans break would help it get going. Once the 302 gets past 4000 rpms, the next 3 or 4 thousand rpms come quickly.
Awesome video! 👍 GM rated them that way because with the log style exhaust manifolds, factory exhaust, factory mufflers, factory air cleaner, water pump, blah blah blah, thats probably what they put out. The high HP numbers everyone gets is in a controlled dyno cell, dyno headers, no mufflers, no water pump, crazy cold coolant temp, blah blah blah.
Thatsa good observation thanks for watching.
@@70sStreetFreak Thanks for making the video. I'm anxious to see you put this screaming mouse motor into a car. 👍
Cross ram in the future?🦶🏾
Maybe unsure yet going to put it in a car then see where I go from there
Absolutely love it it's been a long time since I heard one run thank you
Glad you liked it
Back in 1974 I just had to have a set of Mickey Thompson valve covers, they were pretty pricey even back then at around $48 a set, after I install them on a 331 tunnel ram motor, I discovered there were the biggest piece of junk I ever owned, all they did was leaked. I think I sold it to a friend of mine he wanted them real bad for 25.00 and that might have been a mistake cuz everybody now wants them. There's nothing wrong with a Chevy 302 engine good engine.
Still too this day they are pricey definitely not cheap
@@70sStreetFreak you're right, I have sold a lot of things in the past 50 years I wished I had back, that's why I don't sell anything anymore.
Back in the day those were some bad ass small blocks
That's what I've heard going to see how true that is
Sounds great. Appreciate any of this old stuff.
Thanks
That’s Christine right??
You just blew my mind totally cool who would have thought 😊😊
question for a sbc guru out there. got a swap meet mystery 406/t56 6sp combo in my 79 monza spider at the moment. So unfortunately didn't build the motor its not super hot but definitely more then mild. gm performance aluminum heads and highrise single plane, crane gold roller rocker. full msd setup. 1 3/4 full length headman headers. visually thats all I know. im sure atleast a decent bottom end was put into it as well tho. cams not super aggressive I think itd have no problem being a good boost cam. also dont think conpression is very crazy id bet its no more then 10:1 prolly more 9:5. So heres my question for someone I got a blower I wanna throw on it just for fun. any guess on what a safeish boost level could be? I know theres alot of unknown factors So just looking for a guess like i said conpression definitely isn't wild and was told rings were gapped for a 150-200 shot or close it so we thinking running 10lbs with a 4-71 thru the 406 would be mildly safe lol any input appreciated thanks
Sounded good to me also looks good . Love n light
Appreciate that
