    It doesn't last for 1 year but it last until you wash your car again with foam.I applied it to my car 1 time and in 24 hours I applied it again.After 1 week I washed my car.When I cleaned the car at first only with water I could see that the ceramic was there and the water was almost all slipping away from the car. but when I soaped the car with special soap and when I cleaned the foam with water, the water did not slipping from the car. the ceramic lasts until you wash the car again. it is like all other liquid waxes. they didn't last more than 1 max 2 washes and disappeared...

    I disagree that the bottle lasts 20 application. It’s 16 liquid ozs and about 5 applications. That’s like 3 liquid ozs per application. And then, the 2nd towel drying will take off 25-50%, leaving 1.5 to 2 oz.of liquid as a protectorant layer. Rub your hand over the surface after 24 hour curing; it may feel smooth, but it’s damn thin so every time rain or wash water flows, it is running off this thin layer, and it’s gone by 3 months or 3 commercial, harsh washes.

  • @tonymanero5544
    @tonymanero5544 2 місяці тому

    I’ve use TW hybrid ceramic for years. It basically replace the older spray wax, but has the same downside that it doesn’t last very long, 3 months or 3 commercial car washes. I’ve also done the 2 layer with 24 hour cure period, and it lasts longer, like 6 months. Every time the car hits rain or car wash water, the protectorant is being washed off. Even with 2 coats, you can feel that the protectorant is quite thin, and the hi tech science is about how this layer adheres to the topcoat paint finish. Any flowing water is running off this thin polymer coat; the claim of 1 year protection is a Trump lie. The Wall wasn’t built and Mexico didn’t pay for the few miles that were built but crumpled since he corruptly awarded the construction to donors and friends. TW does leave a nice shine, and it’s easy to apply, but you still have to thoroughly wash your wash and apply TW every 3 months. After 3 months, run you hand over a clean surface area; you’ll just feel the clear coat paint with no TW left.

    Use the Turtle Wax Hard Shell Paste wax every six weeks. Just wash your car, apply a thin coating, wipe and buff. It has a mild cleaner and a blend of carnauba wax. Never a mention of all the “painstaking prep” or the amount of time needed to do it with the ceramic stuff. Shines and beads just as well as any of these “ceramic products”. No need to let it “cure” I can do my whole car in an hour, no biggie.

    • @biiso8205
      @biiso8205 2 місяці тому

      I can vouch for Hard shell, It's not fussy or as bad as people make it out to be. For the price, If It can last even one month then that's good enough. You're right about all the prep that these new ceramics require lol, Hard shell has a cleaner so you automatically clean the paint and remove the residual layer of wax (if any is left) so you don't even need to strip the wax. It's a wonder product, Even though I have the Ice spray and Seal and shine, I think Hard shell is still worth it in this day and age of ceramics.

    • @Trashed20659
      @Trashed20659 Місяць тому

      I Some folks like to wax, and a few weeks is what you get with that. The prep for ceramic is suggested before any type of protect-ant. On my new car, I hand washed and Clay barred it to remove contaminants, which I would not want under any wax, and then used the ceramic polish and wax to correct the paint. That already left it with a high-gloss water beading shine, but to extend those qualities beyond the 6 months it provides, I also used the ceramic spray coating. This shine and beading is being reported to last a MINIMUM of 6 months, going all the way to 12 months, depending on your conditions. The Claying/waxing/polishing I won't have to do for a year. I would rather just be able to wash my car every two weeks and skip the polishing, which this will provide me. I added the ceramic detail spray to clean up dust and spots between washes. As a side note, you really don't have to clay or wax/polish your car if you just want a nice high-gloss shine with this stuff. Even without doing all of that, it make the finish look like glass!

      @@Trashed20659The Turtle wax paste has a cleaner in it. It will remove contaminants, swirl marks and minor surface marks very well. You can learn how to apply it with a damp sponge and apply a thin coat which dries quickly. It’s easier to use than any ceramic stuff. I’d rather wax my car every six to eight weeks than do the ceramic thing. I don’t believe that ceramic stuff lasts that much longer and the prep is too much.

    Wear gloves guys. Ceramic or graphene on this scale getting into your blood stream isn't good. Just to give you an idea. Teflon which is in 99% of the US population will take approximately 5-7 years to get out of your system. (That's why I use cast iron.) Based on that I can extrapolate how this stuff can by find it's way into you. Won't hurt you now as this build up is accumulative over the years. These companies say it's safe blah, blah, blah. When was the last time ANY company was honest? Nothing is free.

    I really liked my MT2's. The few issues I had were; they are not as grippy in winter on ice (without studs) as modern AT tires are. They have a tendency when spinning to pull the truck to one side. They can chunk under heavy load. They are however one of the best looking and quietest mud terrain tires available.

    This stuffs will bead for at least a year but u will wish that it didn’t. It’ll take a couple dawn 4X dish washing liquid to take that stuff off. Here’s the problem, water will bead and stays beaded even after a 30 min drive. If the car sits out in the sun the bead will dry out and leave water stains from the beads itself.

    For a 1yr old car with (almost weekly carwash -automated), do i need to use rubbing compound for the debris before using the hybrid coating? I don't have water supply in my garage since I'm living in a apartment.

    • @jlucguerrier
      @jlucguerrier 4 місяці тому

      I bought a battery powered power washer that fed from a 5 gallon bucket when I lived in an apartment. You're going to need to agitate the paint when it's really dirty. If you go through car washes with brushes you're going to get scratches and swirls. This product won't stop that. Most products won't. Be prepared to machine polish your paint eventually or pay to have it done.

    • @Benjamin-mx7lc
      @Benjamin-mx7lc 4 місяці тому

      @@jlucguerrier what brand of power washer did you use? There are so many on amazon but I'm kinda hesitant to choose which one is the best

    • @jlucguerrier
      @jlucguerrier 4 місяці тому

      @@Benjamin-mx7lc I'm glad you asked my good man. I actually just rolled the dice and bought a Chinesium one from a company called Tacklife. I bought cheap high quality flashlights from them prior so I figured it would be OK. I ran it for like 30 mins once and overheated the motor so I thought it was broken. I put it away for a few months and tried it again and it's been rock solid ever since. That company got banned on Amazon when they cracked down on Chinese companies boosting product ratings. I think the machines are a lot better now-- I got mine in 2020. I can't recommend any right now since I bought an electric power washer, but I'd keep my expectations realistic. I don't think you're getting 1000 psi from a battery powered unit. You're not going to get shaving cream foam. You will need to let the motor cool down so you don't want to use it for like 10 mins straight. The hose was the most annoying thing because it moves around in the bucket. I think I made like a clip or something to hold it. Those things being said-- I'd do it again if I had to. I'd just pull my truck into the corner of the parking garage, being down my bucket and used the crappy foam cannon that came with the machine. I think I used a microfiber mitt for the hand wash and I'd go to the touchless gas station wash for light duty days. It's definitely better than going to a scratch and shine or paying for a mediocre wash. It's definitely not better than having an electric pressure washer and garden hose hookup but it's a close enough alternative. Definitely keep me updated on how it goes for you and I'll answer any questions that you have. Also-- I'd recommend r/detailing on Reddit. The page offers so much great advice from actual detailers for free 99. Lol
