Winter Camping in -10°C: Tarp Camping
Jon, Brandon and I venture out and enjoy a winter camp by a river and waterfall. Jon and Brandon post up in a tent while I rough it under a tarp shelter beside the running river. We cut some dry wood and get a fire to cook meals before hanging out by the fire, discussing camping before heading to bed.

Solo Overnight Camping | Bushcraft Tarp Shelter
Переглядів 7568 місяців тому
I took a trip out to my trusted local camping spot, Blue Mountain Wilderness Area just outside of Halifax. My intention was to build a lean-too, however, due to some unforeseen issues I had to double back to my normal camping spot. I did not bring a shelter with me on this trip. Luckily there were tarps left from previous campers in the shelter I was staying at, which I used to build a tarp she...

Winter Overnight Camp in a Lean-to Shelter

Scott, @MountainsofNovaScotia and I head to White Lake Wilderness Area for an overnight winter camp. Our original plan was to hike to some cliffs in this area, but Mother Nature had other ideas for us. Due to the conditions on the logging road into the area, we could not get through in the car. We set off to find a spot on one of the many lakes to set up camp. Once we found a spot to camp we bu...
Excellent video, great content and editing. Loved it. Just subscribed from a fellow UA-camr 😉👍
Thank you so much! Happy you enjoyed the video!
You should come back and do it in a day!!! we offer a race in October called "The Chiggy Ultra"... there is still space!!!
Some hikers were telling us about this event, or ones like it! Sounds awesome!
Hahah you were wayyy off your expected daily distances there. Heading back here in two weeks. Hiked it in 2017. Looking forward to the return.
Way off! The adjustment to stay at Refugee Cove was our original plan but pushing it just wouldn't have been wise. Enjoy your trip back, it's such an awesome trail!
When you can, you might want to invest in a battery mic
A good mic is definitely top of my list!
@Martyinthewilderness I watch a lot of camping videos. Some of my favorite parts are friends around the (fire/stove), sharing stories and relaxing
Great video. You picked a nice spot.
Rough start from your story but good video and I always struggle with the potatoes too.
Thank you! Potatoes are off the menu for a bit! 😅
glad the algorithm started pushing smaller channels/videos, cant wait to see how much the channel grows
