Lots of bolt action rifles have a 3 position safety bud

What size of round ball you shooting from this pistol? My wife was given same gun and was wondering what size to purchase.

The .41 ammo that you fired turned in some rather anemic velocities and kinetic energy ratings. That said, I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of one of those slugs, even if it were launched out of a slingshot! The cartridge should be capable of around 700 fps, and some of the loading data I looked at show velocities in that range. It looked like ALL of the slugs you fired hit the ice blocks with considerable authority. It's always fun to shoot older guns and think about the tales they might tell if they could talk. Stay safe out there.

You’re smoking crack if you think a 1911 weighs 7 pounds. they’re closer to 2 to 2 3/4 pounds depending.

Hope your trigger guard doesn’t eventually break in half just by pushing it back leaving the front half only intact. Took mine to the range for the first time only bird shot and after arriving home and pushing back the trigger guard to clean the barrel, clang!! half the trigger guard fell on the floor. I was so surprised. The trigger guard appears to be made out of pot metal. I really like the shotgun. Like the appearance, the way it functioned without any FTF’s, not bad recoil either. Just not worth the trouble for me to have to pay to have it shipped back to RIA, and then pay to have it shipped back to my FFL only to pay the return shipping and the FFL charge for handling their end of it. All this would end up costing more than the shotgun did originally. Sorry this is not a positive comment but it is truly what happened. Anyone have any ideas on the why of this happening?

I see this is an old video but I have to say anytime a real M1A1 is fired, it's exciting. I've liked it since the days when I watched that COMBAT TV series staring Vic Morrow. Even the toy replica guns are a thrill. A few years ago I purchased the Umarex Legends full auto M1A1 BB Gun. It's an absolute riot! Friends kinda laugh until they shoot it. Then I can hardly get it away from them! haha.

About the 3 position safety on the new 334 stevens rifles, the ruger m77 have the 3 position safety.

Never heard of the .41 Colt DA. When I think about the .41 Colt it is always the Remington derringer.

Cool old revolver. Is it proofed for smokeless being made in 1895? SAA’s weren’t proofed for smokeless until 1900.

Starline Brass makes .41 Colt brass. The .38 Special with a 200 grain bullet can pretty much imitate the .41 Colt. Maybe that was what the old .38 Special Super Police loads were trying to achieve.

All you need is a wad and you can put 35 grains in that pistol even with a wad. The lube doesn't work too well in the hot weather. Plus I've never had a chainfire when using wads. And I always use my fingers to put the cap on because the Caps get turned around inside of the shaft of the capper. Besides that you also need to assure that the cap is completely on the nipple otherwise you might have a misfire. You do this by using a piece of wood or even the hammer itself make sure the barrel of the pistol is down range when doing this. Apply the pressure on the piece of wood against the ca. This will also ensure that your cap does not fall off if you're moving about. You can leave your hammer on a empty cylinder or you can load all six and use the space between the nipples to rest your hammer or you can put it on half cock. Make sure your pistol is secure on half cock there may be some models that are not functional this way. Or they have been used much and the sear is worn away. Most of mine are loaded and sitting on a table and I don't have kids around so I'm not concerned about having six Chambers loaded but it's safe just to have five cylinders loaded if you are carrying it around with you. I also load my pistols using 777.

The cracking grip is a problem with this firearm and will likely happen sooner or later to them all. The ..... Hogue Inc. 17310 Hunting Grip for Springfield Armory Xd E 9Mm/ 45Acp ... found on Amazon fit's this Beretta 9000s perfectly. But it's a tight fit, so it's a workout to get it on, but well worth it.

I bought a 12, 20, and 410 version of these at the local feed store at right around a C Note apiece. Son in law ended up with the 12, my 70 year old arthritic shoulders couldnt handle it. Shame, too, as its probably the most versatile and definitely ecomical of the bunch to shoot. At this point, the truck does the majority of gun totin' for me, so being handy dont mean all that much, except taking down, and getting out and being useful fast are. Take er easy.

I think you would agree, your bench rest is not sturdy enough to produce tight groups. You needed additional heigth under the forearm for better balance. Your Patriot shoots a little better than most Ive seen on YT. Thanks for sharing and good luck this season.
