The cube blunder in game 1 reminded me of when you passed the no double vs Mochy in UBC. You were also trapped behind a strong prime but had counter play. Both positions were deceptive.

Does anybody else wonder why Galaxy programmers don't do simple fixes (like a volume control and a toggle to turn off that annoying checker hockey feature they forced on us lately)?

Why doesn't Galaxy have a clock setting to correspond to major tournaments ? (Like 12/2 = 12 seconds per move and 2 minutes reserve, times the match length). Galaxy has choices of 10/1 (standard- Too fast) and 15/3 (casual- Too slow)

Hi Dirk, Great content! I have a question: how can I calculate an expected winning percentage of a 4PR player vs a 10PR player in a money game? is there any mathematical formula to calculate the edge a stronger player has over a weaker one?

Small question: at 13:30 you are trailing 0-3 and you are thinking that he could re-double to 4, therefore you would be playing for the match, and you say that your Take Point is 20%; but if you pass then it would be 0-5, which would give you 15.77% MWC - why therefore do you need 20% to retake here ? apologies if i'm missing something obvious ....

Great videos Dirk, keep them coming. At 46:20, if I was the opponent (playing 5/3), i would have been tempted to come out at the back with the 5.

great video. when he is in the triple anchor backgame you mention it is a really bad game to go into if playing for pr. do you have some way of greatly reducing the odds of fallling into this type of game when you play a pr game?

Thanks Dirk. I always learn something. You explained the reason for bringing 2 down with 4-3 in reply to an opening 6-4 making the 2 pt. Does the same idea apply when the opponent opens with a 5-3?

At 16:09 if you had rolled something like 3/2 would not picking up one so you have a potential decision to pick up next roll be the best move in a PR tournament? Ive seen people deliberately holding off to save a backgammon was wondering if it's the same for a gammon!

Hello Dirk, one explanation for your first mistake with 41. Might be because playing 21/16 6/5 gives white decent option if he rolls 5-1 5-3 or 5-4, cheers.
