Can you give us an update on Ethan?
I love lifting weights. My problem is i want to lose weight but also put on muscle mass. Its nearly impossible to do both since in order to pack on muscle you have to be in a caloric surplus. Im 5'9" 220. I can squat my body weight and deadlift 250. 185 bench 135 over head press...all barbell training. Im happy with my lifts continuing to go up but still look fat in pictures. Its a confusing time on how to proceed
Body composition is slower process but you definitely can lose weight and gain lean muscle .
Hey, good for you!

@@scottvasnikyour video was so insightful and helped me to decide if I should get the box. Thanks a lot!
I've been subscribing to Lift Box for 5 months now and plan to quit soon. You're right, its a little overpriced and I just can't justify spending money each month on it anymore. I'd continue doing it if it were around $30 a month.
4:00 You say that it tastes long peanut butter "because you think that's where the protein comes from" 🤔 Lol. Apparently, you not only, don't know how to proper read the ingredient list on the label, but you have absolutely no understanding about the macros in peanut butter. To enough peanut butter to equate to the 20g of protein in the bar, would be crazy, and the calories would be double what they already are. Had you actually read the label, you'd have seen that one of the first few ingredients is whey protein isolate. All of the Ababar flavors use whey protein as the primary protein source.
@@closinginonclosure first ingredient is peanut butter, which does contain protein, especially if it’s a PB2 like version. You’re right though, whey is in there. I am clearly a dummy, so thank goodness you commented to clear things up! ☺️
@scottvasnik Yeah, guy. I'm aware there's peanut butter in it, and I'm aware that peanut butter contains protein. Apparently you, not only didn't read the ingredients when you made this video, but you didn't read and comprehend my comment before replying to me. I literally talked about how much peanut butter it would take to equal 20 grams of protein. Hence, I'm obviously aware that peanut butter contains protein. Anybody with a brain knows that. Also, you mentioned PB2 in your video as well. I left it alone, but now you're commenting, and still talking about PB2 in the bar. Haha. It's most definitely not PB2 in the bar, smart guy. It just peanut butter, hence the fats, and all whole food ingredients. PB2 is a brand name, and essentially peanut butter with fats stripped out. Anabar contains real peanut butter. Lastly, you're welcome for the explanation. You clearly need the help. People like you are the biggest problem on UA-cam. Where you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, but you say ignorant things and spread inaccurate information. You muddy the water. If you aren't knowledgeable on a topic, why would then talk about something with inaccurate information, and then post the video to spread that information further? It's so damn ignorant. Just my opinion. But you probably just want attention so badly that you don't care about the accuracy of what you say. That's on full display in this video.
Check out “Built Puff Bars” they’re soft and packed with delightful flavors! 😎 I found Anabar to be just okay, but I really enjoy Barbells as well, they’re an excellent choice!
@@Justgambleit haven’t heard of those but I’ll check them out! Thanks!
I am 365 lbs and want to start so bad. It is so debilitating to think about how far I have to go. This was very inspiring though. Thank you for sharing.
Do it. Nothing to regret. Start simple, break down your bad relationships with food and work from there. Always value taking action & consistency. Any setbacks just make you stronger in the end.
If I can, you can! It will take time, but I promise it’s worth it!
Saw a quite that's stuck with me....the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago (or anytime in the past)...the second best time is right now....plant the tree, let it blossom

Bro!!! This shits perfect for college students haha thanks! 🔥🔥🔥
@@Leoklllz haha glad I could help! This is definitely a dorm room classic meal!
GL bro. You are gonna do almost exactly the journey same as me. Started out 1-1-2024 with 124,6KG and today i hit 99,8 KG.I also started out with 2600 kcal (now at 2400kcal). Started around 10K steps a day, now around 14k. Doing resistance training about 3 - 4 times a week, and started running about 2 months back (almost at 5km in 30 minutes). That all as an 43 old dude, so for you it should be even more easy. One tip: Consistency above ALL else. If the cardio makes you sick.. just stop doing it. By far the most important thing is diet (than resistance training, than long time nothing, than cardio and steps.Last 2 you can always start later when the progress slows down). Have fun with the journey, after a couple of months you will love it. I promise!

Message to Ethan: Hey man, it's amazing that you're doing this and I hope it goes well for you! I am nearly 4 months ahead of you on this journey so here's some basics: It's simple to lose weight but not easy; the process will be painful but seeing the results is blissful. Exercise is nice, but effectively diet does way more, I dedicated a month to just 90 minutes of exercise and while it may have made me stronger, the scale didn't move. Tell everyone, no one will judge you for dieting, in fact, everyone supports self-improvement unless they're an awful person. Last but not least, enjoy the process! Hopefully you only need to go through this once, make it as enjoyable as possible. A good friend and trainer like Scott will be extremely helpful in keeping consistent!
@@AdamPhillipsGrowth great advice! I’ll make sure he gets the message. Thank you for the encouragement!
Congratulations on your journey! I appreciate the tips! I'm definitely looking forward to having coaching this time around.
Thanks for the honest review. I was going to give these a go, not sure of the UK price, but I won't bother now. I'll just stick to my overnight-oats made with whey powder shake - more protein and tastes fine. Cheers.
