I have never thought about an ac filter. My Jeep is 8 years old and the AC is working fine. I have taken it to get serviced many times, but this time they told me that I do not have a filter in place. They wanted 78 bucks to put a new one in. It's 10 bucks on Amazon and looks easy enough to install. Thanks for the upload.

Absolutely mental design. But what else can I expect from Jeep? I looked this up because I couldn’t see how to change it on my wife’s renegade. This is a thirty second job requiring no tools on my Isuzu D-Max.

Went to replace the one in my wife's jeep after watching this and found so much stuff crammed in the glove box that spilt over and clogged the filter. Cleaned the trash out. No filter needed I'm sure.

My 2021 Chevy Colorado ZR2 did not require full door removal. You squeeze the sides of the door (inward both sides, or one at a time) in and two pegs attached to the door can then slide past and out of their slots to allow the door to swing open completely (hangs straight down). Even easier (no need to remove the hinge-pins; door opens all the way). Otherwise, Thank You for the great video--helped me know how to start!

Lot easier than the 2010 model. That was hell.

Tip - Careful with the left side latch, breaks real easy when trying to lower door all the way to get filter out.

Great video. Does replacing this filter eliminate funny smells when putting the A/C on? What's an Air Con purge? How is it carried out? Normally the garage does it during service but for some reason this time the Mrs told them not to do it and now it smells funny when you put the A/C on.

My 2017 ct6 luxury twin turbo has six tourqe screws to take the glove box out. Then you can get to the cabin filter as shown in the video.

Hey, I just toke mine apart to change filters since I found shedded foam after I used my glove box ( mouse nest inside) I looked up in the top left, it had yellowish fluid leaking any idea what that could be ? My car only has 28k miles if that helps

Now I know where those 2 rubber buffer stops came from that I found in my glovebox after the cabin air filter had been replaced by the dealership.

Why is there a vibrating type of sound after installing it and turning the car on

2014 Altima - You have to drop the glove box to replace filter. It’s not difficult just need patience and about 20 minutes.

This video is plain wrong, there's no need to remove the hinge pins, you simply squeeze both sides of the top of the glove box, and it will allow it to open fully, overextending to expose the filter.
