taking it next year… 😢😢
thx this was rly useful
My global teacher recommended me to honors us history, but I said that I wanted to take apush next year. Should I take it if I’m an ELL? Like I’m almost fluent, but not in terms of speaking (I’m an introvert, so I’m good at writing, reading, and listening) I did look at the textbook and it was not so bad in terms of the language. I actually did a quick research, and they said that there is a lot of reading (more than 15 pages a day) and you have to write essays about them. I now believe that honors can be a better match for me because there are more creative projects (I want to go on STEM but I talk about my personality rn). Anyways, So, should I take apush or not?
even after 3years you guys are saving our life.
Abigail Giordano is another great channel for studying Chem!
Thoughts and prayer for me this year in chem🙏
i’m nervous because i’m taking ap chem and ap biology sophomore year 💀 idk if i should start trying to study now or wait for school to start
same im dying
@@bb4251 yeah im cooked and ap tests are soon
Is it ok to take it freshmen year
It doesn't teach anything about Hitler, pearl harbor or a lot of importance. What a crap course
I hate the amount of forces in a molecule that you have to remember.
I took this class this year and it’s the hardest class I’ve ever taken, the test are way harder than the hw and reviews but labs will most likely hold your grade to at least a B, which is a 4.0 in AP so don’t worry about a B affecting ur GPA if it’s an AP class
Bro holy fuck this is the video I’ve been looking for
Just understand why atoms are the way they are. Once you learn that, you’ve basically learned 50% of the course
Is it an easy course? I am debating on taking the couse, but I was only in regular chemistry.
@@pinklovergamer3409 I mean it depends on your teacher. The exam in itself was moderately easy. If you are considering taking the class, I recommend getting comfortable with the top half of the periodic table.
Okay, thank you!
in terms of difficulty, Ap Chem vs Ap Physics...any thoughts?
AP Physics is harder I think
Chem is def harder, AP Physics still has basic algebra as per as math but yea overall chem is way more difficult
"don't let yourself fall behind" me with 6 missing assignments I don't understand: 😃
I'm taking honor bio this year(8th) and I'm preparing for the eoc. But I can take ap chem or honors chem next year and I'm a bit confused on what to do. My parents and teacher say I should go for ap, but I'm also going to be part of a magnet program next year so I don't want to bite off more than I can chew...
Taking honors bio in 8th?!?!? Wish I could've done that. I had to in 10th. Same thing with precalc. Before, our school used to offer it in 10th but now it's reserved for 11th. Ah well. I wish you the best of luck in your journey!
@@poetxykI took regular biology in 8th grade but had earth science in 9th 😮 wish I had a chance to take chem in 9th
DO you think it will be easier if I take chemistry honors first semester and then ap chemistry second semester
Upload we miss yiu
i’m taking ap chemistry next year…wish me luck everyone
How was it?
Yea, how was it?
I took computer programming 1 and learned to code python should I take this
I’m a sophomore in HS and my teacher recommended me for AP Bio and honors Chemistry for my junior year I’m super nervous but really excited. However it would mean that I have to take AP chem and Honors physics senior year lol
Why can’t you take AP physics senior year?
I really hated thermochemistry.
I took biology honors in 8th grade and I got a 5 on the End of Course exam, I'm taking chemistry honors as a 9th grader and its not too hard for me I have a 4.00 average and im gonna take AP chem next year and everyone is telling me its super hard. Wish me luck! Fingers crossed🤞
good luck bro! you got this.

Thank you guys that was great
I mean…. I’m considering it. I do pretty well in Chemistry but also AP Chemistry….
My school doesn't offer the course, so I'm taking the class outside of school. Any resources/textbooks I should invest in?
I've taken both AP European History and AP US History as well as AP 2-D Art and Design
@@callmepretzygoo My current AP Art History teacher really recommends Barron’s AP Art History Fifth Edition. I have the book and it’s helpful. :)
You should also check the AP Art History section on Khan Academy. It’s full of information and they also have videos! It’s one of the resources we use in my classroom.

Should I take this class? I really want to do an ap class this year but I don't know if its worth it😬
Lol never took chem and its my senior year they gave me ap chem lol
how was it bro.. I am also taking it next year with no chem experience. I am so blinded and dont know how to prepare for it. I feel like I would not have enough time to prepare
should I take AP Chem even though I do not have a chemistry background?
You don't learn to swim in an ocean
Taking this in my freshman year thank you for the video 😭
How is it? I’m also planning to take it freshman year with no basic coding knowledge..
@@kellyshin6131 honestly it'll depend on your teacher but if you pay attention its easy. I have no coding knowledge and much of it is pretty easy. I'm blessed though with an easy teacher, we mostly just mess around in class a lot though. It's nothing too complex, a good chunk is common knowledge and some are just basic ideas of programming. Definitely the easiest AP Class, no experience needed.
@@Baseball-wg8zh thank you so so much
@@Baseball-wg8zh Thank you for saying this! I was signed up and started freaking out cause I only have a little bit of coding knowledge 💀
So I’m an upcoming sophomore too, and I’m taking ap chem without any background. I’m really nervous, because I’m also on the dance team and I’m taking precalc, honors geometry, and ap eglish 3. So I’m going to be TIRED. I’m a really good student and I’m great with math but I’ve never loved science, nor do have I ever had to put a bunch of time into my classes. Does anyone have any advice?
I don't think it's worth it, I took chemistry honors and it was hard I got B all the time I would never take AP chemistry
@@akiash325 hey thanks, I signed up for the class after talking to the teacher. He said that I could pass with an A as long as I am willing to work. I’m going to give it a try!

@@theresarose571 how did it go??
@@emmamonyou4904 it went great!! My teacher was not good… I didn’t learn to the extent I wanted, but I finished the semester with an a, which gave me the 5.0!! Also, quizlet will be your best friend, I’ll do an update once ap scores come back in July!
Tips for taking Calc ab without taking trig/pre Calc
I’m going to be taking calc ab but I took pre calc so all I can say is good luck have fun
My school starts in 2 days and I’m going straight into calc ab and I’m scared. How was it for you? I’m trying to prepare by learning trig identities and creating a better knowledge of the unit circle but what advice would you give?
@@valzthegoat6933 how was the start?
thanks for the advice ! :)
Not me taking this class because I thought to myself, “Atoms are so fun I want more!” Like what were you thinking girl?? Update: I will no longer be taking this class.
I love this comment so much 😭😭😭
Stoichiometry and dimensional analysis is very easy for me so hopefully I'll do well in the class Edit: since many of you guys have asked for an update, here I am. I took the class a year after I made this comment. My experience with AP chem is that it’s hard but not impossible. Once you get the hang of it, it’s really not that bad. Everyone is different but for me I found gas laws to be the hardest and equilibrium to be easier. I ended up getting a 5 on the exam.
Update?
Update?

Okay let me update you guys. My experience is that this class is something that is astronomically more difficult and complex than regular chemistry. I have managed to achieve an A in the class, but be prepared to grind hard and long hours to achieve success in this class.

My teacher emailed me and asked if I wanted to take ap chem. I have a A in honors biology but I’m not very good at it. Any tips or if I should or would not take it
Take it. If you’re majoring in anything STEM related, you’ll be fine and you should take it
Im a legend I never study and I take preap chemistry and I get A’s on everything. I never study for anything high school is so easy.
Liza I love you
I am debating whether to take AP Bio or AP Chemistry junior year. I am not allowed to take both Senior year and can’t decide which one to take first. Any tips or advice would help!
well, first I’d take a look at the course layout on UA-cam or the AP page by searching it up. Second, consider how well you did in bio or chem. Did you do well because you had a bad teacher? Or did you do well because you genuinely understood the topics? Third, consider how much time you’re really willing to give to either subject. Did you spend a lot of time on bio or chem bc you genuinely enjoyed it? Both are a LOT of work, I haven’t taken either but I’ve had friends who have taken it and I have also take AP courses and there was ALWAYS a lot of work regardless of what subject. It just depends on the teacher whether to give that much hw. It should be fine if it’s the only AP class. if youre taking more than three at a time AND Ap bio or chem, I highly advise dropping a different ap class unless you think you can handle it. I took three ap classes this past year (junior year- but I’ve finished it bc of the way courses are laid out at my school) and could hardly handle it but I also have two jobs so that didn’t help any. Fourth, consider whether you can handle either subject along with your other subjects PLUS whatever you may participate in as far as extracurriculars. Fifth, junior year is hard, so please considering trying to leave as much time for yourself as you can. With only three ap classes and 3 other classes+ two jobs. The only time I really had for myself was during lunch or at night. That was it, as compared to freshman and soph year, I spent about 75% of my time doing whatever I want.
