Obviously I don't expect to go to every gig and festival in the uk, but we're missing Trees this year which wasn't to much of a blow, as this years line-up isn't realy to me and my Dad's taste, but if the Disturbed tour falls in July I might have to cancel the trip😂

Shirt prices are becoming insane. I used to regularly buy a couple at each gig, but at £40 I'm being more fussy 😬 I only bought the joint band/tour one

Which show were you at? Heard lots of stories about them giving those wristbands away. Yeah, I had planned to get a shirt, but looking at the prices, it was either the upgrade or the merch, and I think we made the right call! - Gibby

@@TheAltVaultYT - both Cardiff shows. I think there were a lot of VIPs/Bullet F&F at the first show, and I don't think they were giving any away that day. It was pretty subdued in there from what I could see too 🤣 The second show there were hardly any VIPs, and the Hell Hole was really empty. On doors opening, there were staff in the arena telling people to go to the barrier if they wanted to get in the Hell Hole. Great atmosphere in there all night, lots of random circle pit things going on, rowing/ballroom dancing/picking each other up etc. Just a lot of fun 🙌🏽

With the lineup looking like it is, it's hard to imagine many pits for bands like Weezer, but Korn will be a very active crowd. The crowd looks after each other, so if you need any help there will always be someone friendly nearby - Gibby

Download is always fun outside of the music too. If you end up being the only one who wants to go, there is Camp Loner, which is dedicated for people going on their own and making friends there! - Gibby

Yeah Travis Scott was what I was hearing on my first few listens! I don’t think it’s inherently bad but just unexpected for Mike I guess. Definitely one of the weaker songs on the album, I agree

Absolutely you’re right! There’s still a long way to go in terms of filling the diversity gap in music in general but particularly in the alt/metal scene. Are there any non-white bands or artists that you recommend we give a try? - Al

@TheAltVaultYT - I had to ask on Threads for someone to help me find any POC on the line-up, as I don't know a lot of the smaller bands. The only band recommendation I got was Loathe, which I've been checking out. Off the top of my head, these are the bands that jump out at me when I try and think of any to recommend. A lot of them have played DL previously, and then you've obviously got the big names like Skindred, Sevendust, The Prodigy, Skunk Anansie... Third Kulture Sleep Theory Blackgold Ayron Jones Nova Twins Tetrarch Bob Vylan Fever 333 Bloodywood I was hoping to discover some new bands 🤷🏽‍♀️ Most of the black musicians I know of are people I discovered through Instagram, and they're not really in bands 🫤

@@TheAltVaultYT All the headliners will be great I think, but I'm especially looking forward to seeing Weezer as my 14 year old daughter is coming with us for her first time and they're a favourite band for both of us!
