I finally purchased an Anthem a few days ago and am awaiting my order. The is the first motorcycle I will own coming from years of using an ebike on the daily. Initially I was looking at another company (Livewire), but in the end it was simply out of my budget. Trying to explain this bike to people is actually kind of fun and I've used this exact video multiple times to show people just some of the innovations Ryvid has done and they're truly impressed. My hope (more than likely like others') is that Ryvid sticks to the commitment of wanting to improve battery quality down the line and is able to upgrade their batteries to increase power and range, that and hopefully offer some sort of battery trade in program (or discount) to owners. I bought my Ryvid out right and it is by far the most expensive purchase I ever made without making payments (I paid $7,345 out the door, which included the free upgrade to the ASI controller and a few extras). I plan to use this as my main vehicle at least for a few years and I REALLY hope Ryvid sticks around. Not gonna lie a huge fear of mine for startup companies is that they offer a great product, but it doesn't sell well, the company goes under and then you're stuck with a product that you need to get places and you have zero support. As of right now I can't see that happening, but it still makes me anxious.

New owners: if you get stuck at the step where you disconnect the small black cable, please be aware that you also need to push in on the black part on the front of the plug (while pulling) after releasing the red connector that she mentions in the video.

His design looks a little too heavy for my taste but I like that it hides the battery. To me, the battery looks like a little shop-vac attached to the bottom of the bike, with the little wheels sticking out. I wish it blended in better with the rest of the bike.

If I order a bike with the upgraded controller, does it come installed or do I need to do this surprisingly complicated install myself?
