Hi there! I’m Anna from Flow on Purpose, and today we’re diving into the topic of relationships-how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us.
Whether we realize it or not, we’re constantly navigating emotional triggers and relationship dynamics. The holidays can often bring up old patterns or emotional wounds, and it’s not uncommon to find ourselves stepping into past roles or experiencing feelings that don’t align with the present moment.
In this session, I’ll guide you through an exercise to help you heal emotional triggers and transform reactivity into compassionate self-awareness. You’ll learn how to reconnect with your inner child, the part of you that may still hold onto past hurts, and how to hold space for that part of you with compassion, understanding, and gentleness. This practice of self-soothing and inner healing helps you move from emotional reactivity to emotional resilience.
As we go through this meditation, you’ll discover how to shift your response to difficult situations-especially with family and loved ones-by approaching challenges from a place of calm, non-reactivity, and emotional maturity. This can elevate your relationships and bring a sense of healing to old patterns.
You’ll find that the more you practice this self-soothing technique, the more empowered and centered you become, and the less you’re triggered by others. By holding compassion for yourself, you create space for deeper, more fulfilling relationships and experiences this holiday season and beyond.

    I've been healing for 4 and 1/2 years from disorganized attachment. This is one of the best descriptions I've heard about how it happens. I also really liked your distinction between avoidant having a disconnected sense of self versus anxious avoidant being fractured. Absolutely a powerful metaphor and so accurate.

      Hi, Karthika, I am sorry to hear that. Have you listened to the meditations on my channel? They help you regulate your nervous system. Take your time to do the meditations and let me know how you experience them. Also become aware what triggers the anxiety in you (for example listening to very aggitated speakers in online videos can actually be triggering to your nervous system, so be mindful about what you consume with your mind). In the present moment you are safe, so anchor time and again into the present, and you will rewire your nervous system for safety.     Thank ypu for this video.. I've only recently learned about attachment styles and been researching a lot. Your explanation has given me more clarity 😊 i definetly fall into the "anxious" category and my partner is more "avoidant" Finally so many of our ongoing issues seem to make a lot more sense, hopefully this new found knowledge can help us learn healthier attatchments and heal our traumas! ❤
