Our Kawasaki S1 engine has finally let loose. One of the pistons was stuck, and we had a hard time trying to move the piston inside the cylinder without making any damages. My dad has finally managed to remove the piston successfully. Now it is time to rebuild the engine, and I am really looking forward to it! You can watch the previous video I've made about this motorcycle here: ua-cam.com/vid...

I had one new in 1974, it was a great little bike, it's only problems were a poor front brake and poor headlight apart from that all good, oh, and it's top speed acording to the speedo was 65mph (104kph)
Brilliant bullet-proof little bikes , bought and identical red 125S from a mate who bought it new in 1975 , now with a lot more owners it is still running perfectly , these early 125S models will last forever with just an annual oil change .
Great little bikes from my youth growing up in Ireland
Thats a Gem right there. Those 1970's Honda singles are absolutely bulletproof! My first bike i was 11yrs and my father found it in a dumpster at my local gas station. It was a 1970 Honda CT70. We brought it home, cleaned out the carb, replaced the gas line and spark plug. Put gas in and it fired up with 1 kick. I couldn't afford a moped or dirtbike like the other kids had. But i had the fastest lil 3-speed in my school who all the cool kids with there Tomos mopeds couldn't keep up with. ❤

Beautifull! May i ask what brand the belly pan is?
It is two stroke...?
The grey with the black engine is gorgeous.
Yeah people rage about the blue one I like the grey and the black one too
@@Supersleuth0987 There's a black one and I think a white one too, both of those do not do the bike justice. The speed block ones are all nice but slightly garish but I truly believe the grey on black with the black engine is by far the classiest along with the early short exhausts. Oh, and the later ones with the racing numbers looked awful. Just my opinion!
Fejn qijed int?
I like the combination of Greece & Christianism. History mate.... Learn history and then be proud
My first bike on the road was the fr80 in that blue woth the full seat and it was a 1979 model, got me so many girls back then, loved that bike and would have another, you know it was fully silkolene stickered up to make it look cool as we did back then 👌👍
How much a frem
What color code?
Amazing❤
Where can i buy the nut from the front dumping?
Ever since I bought my black 81' CB750K off the showroom floor, and there was a black CB900F sitting there, it has become my dream bike. Even over my insane 04' Yamaha V Max. Great vid!
I own a 1983 CB250RS. It doesn’t look as pretty as yours though!! Great video and well done for a great restoration.
I like the look of it and that its lasted all these years 🤩🤩
Indeed. 😊 Little jewel.
V Ride Safe !!!
It’s not about the numbers, it’s how you use it in every day use… sounds familiar.. yeah
I WANTED sinisen kievarin.
how tall are you
That looked like great fun! Some ‘inappropriate machines’ there too. Ride what you’ve got! Thank you. Les in UK 🇬🇧
Got to love Malta and Gozo… so many old bikes (and cars, etc) some of them in terrible condition and many renewed and restored beautifully. I miss my Gozo trips! Thanks for your videos, all good stuff. Les in UK 🇬🇧
Do you mind if i ask where you got your radiator cover protector? I got an 03 z1000 and looking for just that! Thanks in advance and great content 👌 👍
Fantastic Mike My grandfather rode this model of bike in ww2 when he was a dispatch rider in the Scot’s guards Regards Dave
Great job ,the Japanese always get the best stuff!! I recall only seeing the TT-R marketed in white and blue for the European market but only ever saw it in a magazine...
Cheers. 🙂 Yepp, for some reason they weren't sold new here in Malta. 🤔 Then they were brought over as second hand. I haven't figured out the reason behind this yet though.
@@oldschoolgrech Im pretty sure Gordon was one who used to sell these used imports...
@@katkylekim I think you're right. The previous owner told me so, if I'm not mistaken. I will try to confirm this with Gordon himself.
It looks great. The 90's were awesome! 👍 I lived near a Yamaha dealer as a kid and would always go in and dream.
Cheers.😊 Aahhhh, childhood memories. Similarly, we had an MV Agusta dealership just a few minutes away from home by walk, and I would stop and gaze at the showroom, admiring the beautiful bikes sitting in there, each time that I used to pass from in front of it.😊
Hey dude i have yamaha yb 100 deluxe 1987 totally original condition I wanna sell my beauty If u want to buy it. Just contact me.
i have same color, but after seeing this one, will go back to dual exhausts, have a single one for the moment. but this one sounds crazy!!!!! 😎😎 Drive safe ! 🦾
Cheers! 😊 Ride safe😎
Hello, Interesting video. I have a question that I have been looking for an answer to but haven't found yet. How does it work with the two gears that this model has? I know there is a gear mechanism in the hub of the rear wheel, but how do you change these gears? Do you change from first to second gear, on the handlebar together with the clutch lever - or how does it work? Hope you can answer this. Thanks!
Je m'appelle oumar kané je viens du mali est ce que vous pouvez m'envoyer une moto yamaha mat 80 couleur orange sur commande
@paulfrank5573 1 minute ago I found a picture of my dad on what I think is a 1950 BSA M20 (or 21, 22, 23). However, the valve cover and gear case cover in his picture look different than every picture I’ve seen on the internet. I would like to find and restore the exact BSA my dad had. Can you help identify the year and model if I send you picture?
Just saved an 06 Z1000 last week from being broken up for parts and decided to buy for myself. There’s lots of work to be done, sticky brakes and maybe a new cam-chain. She’s been standing a long time and has covered 88,500Km‘s. Work due to start tomorrow where I will take a look 👀 inside the engine. Best wishes from Germany Sher 😉
Compression test! Compression test now!
Great! Any updates on it now? :)
Compression is good, within where she should be. Lots of gaskets, Cam-chain + guides, new Thermostat and irridium-plugs. Usual service filters with fresh oil and runs beautifully. Registered and on the road where she averages 6.5Lit pro 100Km when using 5500rpm max with gentle acceleration (Redline at 11 so that’s half throttle) Next on my list is the handling…
@@SherKhan-b1kes Yeah i think you sold me on this bike. Kawasaki’s are tanks i swear to god.
They definitely are indeed! They’re successful with a few French 24hour racing teams (Ninjas) and have a good reputation for being long lasting, which makes them desirable for this type of sport.
Nice find , happy new year !
Cheers, thanks, and same to you!
friend of mine had one.bought it from comerfords .he raced it aroung for months.ruined it with cheap oil and the cam which directly bares in the head went egg shaped and it was scrapped.i think it was a k3 model.
Oh no, that's an unfortunate ending for a lovely bike. At least it left a legacy of racing memories for your friend. 😊
@@oldschoolgrech the favourite upgrade is a cg125 engine. ohv and pushrod and runs forever.
The stickers version depends on the year. The original tools were plug socket, screw driver, flat wrench.
As a kid in the early 90s here in England, i had many bike we used over the fields, The Honda never lasted long at all, would always break. The Yamaha was much better then the Honda but after time the Yamaha died too......But the Suzuki was very very strong and by far the best bike, it got to the point we was putting it though hell to see what would kill it and nothing ever did.
What should you do to decrease engine noise
I had one bwtween 1978 and 1980 in Attard.
Y la segunda parte
& the sound of the bike'?
My motorcycle same with you
About front lamp head lamp and sign lamp
May i ask you ?
First 4 stroke yamaha in Indonesia, not really popular but still one of my favorite motorcycle.
I also have a CB250RS, and really enjoyed your video. You've done a great job restoring it 👏 👍
So eine hatte ich auch mal 🙂
