Securities Fraud Mastermind Sam Antar: "Your Rules Don't Apply To People Like Me"
Former Chief Financial Officer of Crazy Eddie, Sam Antar, discussed with Cambridge Professor Alan Jagolinzer, how criminals view laws, ethics, and societal norms as weaknesses that can be exploited.
The criminal does not have to abide by laws or ethics, while the victim presumably does. That allows more latitude for the criminal to act in engaging their crimes.
Recorded in November 2018 for a financial reporting course at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School.

Disinformation Tactics: False dilemma (False Dichotomy)
Переглядів 1,1 тис.Місяць тому
One commonly used disinformation tactic is the false dilemma (also known as a false dichotomy). A false dilemma is when the speaker insists there are only two options available and that you must choose or the other when, in reality, there are many other options available. The false dilemma is often communicated emotively with a sense of urgency, to try to influence you to choose a side ("us" or...

Gaslighting is a commonly used disinformation tactic. Merriam Webster defines gaslighting as "psychological manipulation of a person ... that causes the victim to question the validity of their own thoughts, perception of reality, or memories and typically leads to confusion, loss of confidence and self-esteem." The term comes from the title of a 1938 play and the movies based on that play, the...

love the way she does not deny what she said, just says those are not my words, I guess its just her words paraphrased .. lol snake in the grass 101..
Why did we ever decide to call “lying”, gaslighting ?
Senator Kennedy, Great man, Great American!!
Captain mush mouth, how is violence in your state and what are you doing to fix it. Nothing, nothing nothing.
Shutup
Thank God for Sen. Kennedy.
I think this senator is a bit of a twat….how many times does she have to tell him that she did not speak to the media….how many times….and he is laughing when he repeatedly say that she said these things to the press…..this is no way to speak to anyone, he wouldn’t like it…..this is how the press work..what you don’t tell them they make up anyway…..this Senator should be sacked or retired
Do you think Kennedy realize how stupid he looks and sounds???
He is a moron. Please vote him out.
Just because you can't understand legalese doesn't mean she actually answered the question. And that's why he's smiling and asking it over and over. Everyone in that room understands what's actually happening. Clearly you are not in that room, because you don't have a clue. And by the way, what's happening is that he's mocking her, and she has to just sit and take it, because she doesn't dare deviate from her answer by even one single word.
Another bully boy effort from Kennedy, not listening provoking the person to get her to give him the answer he wants. He seems deliberately deaf to her answers to the same question over and over again. He seems so intelligent yet has no common sense.Or for that matter a sense of respect for the people he questions
Why does he need to have any respect for people he questions? Is there something about their potential position that calls for great respect from an elected official? Does he perhaps know something that YOU don't know about the character of this person?
@ He will know more about the person than me. That is not my point. My point is that every person should be treated with respect. Not bullied into submission. When a person does this they are just big noting themselves rather than gathering information. Politics does not need to be inhumane
@@denisryan898 Perhaps, Just perhaps, the people who he leans on so hard are disrespectful to him? Let's look at her form of response: "Senator! I did not etc". Now what kind of response is that? Starting off with "Senator!" is disrespectful. She's talking down to him as if he isn't qualified to be a senator and doesn't deserve the job. Next she has a rehearsed text that she never deviates from. Want to know why? Because a lawyer has told her to say that and ONLY that in response to his questions. A simple yes or no would not have been legally sufficent --- for her --- because then she would be answering the actual question and could be impeached for lying. But, the form of her response gives the appearance that she's answering the question, when actually she's merely talking around it. I'm surprised (well not really) that you didn't catch any of that. This woman is what one would normally call a "despicable person".
@@denisryan898 She isn't respecting him in any way, by refusing to answer his question. So, why would she deserve his respect?
Keep exposing the left and their lies
Sam's candor was refreshing.
If i dei before I WoKe
He is clever more than people give him credit for. He must know something factual because he loves to bang people with "gotcha"
He a moron
Kennedy knows exactly what he is doing. He can repeat the same pig-headed question over and over because there is no judge in the room to take an objection: "Asked and answered". And all he needs is for the witness to lose patience with his stupidity for that to be the story.
You sir how's your heart feeling I would be thinking this feeling like shit inside of you.
I can't stand that idiot from my home state of Louisiana
I'm sure that makes him lose sleep at night.
Typical kid sense no common sense no plastic in her house does she have a tv computer etc etc nieve. If she followed through she would be naked unable to see clearly 0thirsty barefoot etc etc
REPUBLICANS ARE THE REASON FOR THIS COUNTRY'S COLLAPSE! DISINFORMATION IS THE REPUBLICAN PLAYBOOK! JUST KEEP REPEATING THE LIE ! KENNEDY IS THE BIGGEST GUILTY PARTY OF THEM ALL ! PATHETIC REPUBLICAN FRAUDS!
Kennedy is a complete moron!
He lies all the time just like trump@!!!!!!!
Rfk was very annoying i don't like him he tries to torture that poor women shame on him
DEI much?
That so called man should have never become a senator, he's a willfully uneducated & ignorant fool.
the state that elected that pos should be ashamed of themselves
She is lying as usual.
You are so bad you needed to invent a new language to mitigate this =/
Sounds a little fuzzy to me folks. Deniability won't really work here!!!😮😮😮😊
Well, if she sticks to the wording her defense attorneys dictated to her, they at least can't prosecute her for lying under oath. Of course, that pretty much defines her qualifications for the job.
He is a fn TOOL....
So where did he get that comment if not from someone at this meeting? By the way is lying under oath to Congress is a felony? Right? Can these "judges" be removed later if they are if they found to have lied under oath?
1. She didn't lie. She just used a bunch of legalese to avoid answering the question. 2. It is very hard to impeach a judge. That's why bright men like Senator Kennedy are so valuable to the vetting process for (pejorative deleted) judges like her.
She didn't lie. In fact, she didn't even answer the question. That's why he kept asking it over and over and over.
In the unlikely event Kennedy had the guts to repeat his accusation outside of Congress, she should sue the ass off him.
For what? She came up with a carefully worded answer and stuck to it, in spite of the fact that the question only needed a YES or NO answer. You should really think (or ask an adult) about why that's important.
@@Quakeboy02 She said no, clearly, umpteen times. Kennedy chose not to believe her. He is a nasty piece of work and as thick as a brick. I assume you are related.
I HATE Kennedy!
I'm sure that troubles him.
He mustve talked to someone who said she said it
No, he makes shyt up all the time.
Someone said is an evil entity
Right, because only dems lie!!! .... Oh wait... Is that the same senator that stated over 15 times "we have one of our most trusted informant providing us with proof that biden was paid 5 million dollars from barisma" Until after a 2+ year investigation the "trusted informant" ADMITTED to have no proof AND ADMITTED to have been given that "info" from a RUSSIAN AGENT. The same russian agent currently sitting in prison at this very moment.. Listen and repeat MAGAots! Make sure to stay ignorant and NEVER check ANYTHING for yourselves. Enjoy your life of hourly pay and cheaper groceries that your cult leader will provide! Lolol Tip: Google who pays TARIFFS Ignorant uneducated gullible cultists.
What's really happening is that she's using legalese to avoid actually answer his question. Everyone in that room understands that. Why can't you?
Kennedy is really dumb
He is a legend she lying
Thou protsesteth much
fingernails on a chalk board are like a symphony compared to Kennedy's logic and voice.
English isn't your strongest skill, is it?
@@Quakeboy02 you doth protest too much me thinks. By the way, English is a language, not a skill
@@Quakeboy02 your coma is superfluous in a seven word question.
@@josedelatorre2569 "coma"? LOL I rest my case. Well done. Excellent adversary. I am humbled. (SMH) If you don't think English is a skill, I advise you to be sure and have a lawyer represent you if you're ever before a judge. Being an attorney is one of the few professions where competence (skill) in a language is absolutely necessary.
@@Quakeboy02 good advice..especially for tRUMP
In my experience anyone using the word “disinformation” is guilty of it.
Liar
The irony of nowadays politics is: this imbecile is a John Kennedy and the other imbecile Kennedy is: vaccine denier, whale head hoarder, dead bear dropper,,, RFK JR. These are not your mother’s and grandmother’s Kennedys😅
Smuck
Kennedy sucks. All the good ones are gone.
If you've got an English professor in your town you could talk to, ask him or her if this woman ever answered the question. Unless they have some ideological dog in the fight, they will laugh and say something like "well, she's not lying, but that's only because she refuses to answer the question."
Hong Kong based, china owned, forbes, spreading the word. Uh huh.
Ikr
This pig. He loves trump more tgan he loves Jesus. He hates people of color and trans folk..he abhors sojourners...he thinks God loves his wisdom and his " good" racist deeds
RFk lied as usual.
Actually, yet another liberal judge refused to answer a question from him, and used her non-answer to run down the clock.
RFK Jr is the actual Foghorn Leghorn.
Are you DEI or Woke? Sometimes I need to ask.
Go back to the source. You will have your answer. This brings to mind the Trump statement that veterans were loosers and chumps or whatever. It all boils down to a person at the Atlantic. Who are you going to believe? Personally, the Atlantic has proven themselves untrustworthy over and over again in their spinning and misrepresentation of the truth.
Kennedy listen !!!!!!!!
He did. Did you? In case you're wondering why I said that, listen, REALLY LISTEN to her answer. It's never a yes or a no. With these people it's always a carefully worded answer that while it's technically (and legally) true, it's an outright lie.
What a Dork....
you guys are fucked , comparing random j6ers to intl terrorist groups?
Amazing
