Clearly had lots of failed attempts, should have used technician, those emp nades would have sorted those dogs.
@@johnburrows8281 I agree that the emp nades would be useful, but in theory if I can manage my headhunter properly then the dogs are not an issue, with the exception of the final room with the 3 of them. That being said, the TAC-50 is a much more useful tool throughout the rest of the mission, and I can always use a different weapon for the dogs, I just decided I wanted to try doing the entire thing with only a sniper rifle just to see if I could. These days I just use the ravenous if I encounter a large group of robot dogs.

I love hotshot, is my favorite, but try do this in console, with drift, high ping. This is the true legendary. LOL
@@heliojansen I served my time on ps4 back in division 1 lol. I eventually made the swap to PC and abandoned my progress literally because I wanted to be free of trying to snipe on console. I feel your pain, or rather, I've felt your pain.
Nice. I think you are on pc. Yesterday I did a run for this mission on ps5 and in the area before the last I got also a wave from behind. I didn't see that coming in your run.
@@hansdegebruiker1968 Start watching at 34:20 The reason it's not really a "wave from behind" is because I never push too far into the room to begin with, because I know that spawn will happen at some point, so I try to kill them while they're still coming off the helicopter.
I don't see anything cool about using cronus zen to get accurate shots. I don't know why people like to use this kind of cheat.
Are you really that bad at PC to not realize that people who practice their aim are able to aim this well without using aim assist? I've been playing a sniper in Division games for almost a decade, I've gotten moderately decent in that time, so no I don't need to use cheats. I just have a really high quality mouse, a giant mouse mat, and very low sensitivity, and a lot of muscle memory and arm aiming practice (not wrist aiming). Do yourself a favour, and go watch some competitive counterstrike to see what actually good m+kb players can do, and you'll realize that what you see in this video is actually pretty average, and definitely not cheats.
Great video and skills. Is the build nerfed? Nearly get close to those numbers
@@ItsYuur the build has not been nerfed, but it is quite outdated. You no longer want to use the White Death, as the other sniper rifles have been buffed. The Model 700 is the strongest option, but there are other options that also work better than the build in this video. If you have the same build but aren't getting the same numbers, make sure to check your mods, your SHD levels, and any expertise levels you may have in the weapon you choose.
Why you use this drone ?
@@PatrickMDO62 90% it's just for information. It's a speed run, so spending 10 seconds trying to find where the last guy is hiding is a waste of time. 5% it's to warm me if someone is sneaking around me. Yeah, the early days of creative thinking about how to handle the raid bosses was fun. Eventually though people all kind of settled on "this is how it should be done" and that room for creativity disappeared, and I stopped running raids.
Pretty neat! I posted a version of this on my channel, super proud of it!
So your strat for Aggro was to keep one red enemy alive until the Achilles pulsed his head, right? Then you used the tac for full HH, Nemesis for max damage?
@@nealio6458 yup! That's exactly right. Ideally you'd do it with more than one enemy left, because it takes 2 kills to get your HH to full stacks, so if I didn't get the head pulse I would have had to reset, since my half stack of HH would have expired. One tac kill is enough the get full HH for your bolt action, but it takes 2 to get the nemesis to full stacks, or only 1 if you already were at full stacks on the bolt action.
Cool! I saw you targeting the pulse on his head, does that actually make a difference, or is it random targeting? Also, I’m planning to one shot him in a full group, so is it enough to go from full HH on the Model 700 to the Nemesis, or do you need to switch from the tac?
@@nealio6458 full HH on the Model 700 is only half HH on the Nemesis or the TAC, so you need to get a kill with either of those first to get to full HH if you already had full stacks on the Model 700. That being said, this build won't work for 4 players. He has about 60 million hp solo, but about 170 million hp in a full group. For a full group you'll need a perfect focus build using Aces and Eights. Achilles only buffs the bullet portion, not the HH bonus damage. When playing solo that's enough, but in a group you need to simply boost your base bullet damage as much as possible for the Achilles multiplier to apply. You will also need someone in your group running FI healer to give you bonus damage, and bonuses from the Scorpio and the Opportunistic backpack talent, and honestly any other buffing talents you can fit in. And while you're at it, someone else should manage the Achilles pulse with a skill build so that they can overcharge and guarantee that the head gets pulsed, because the pulsed segments are randomized.
So health damage on sniper rifle is more effective to break chungus helmet and robot than damage out of cover?
@@simonsaid6682 normally no, but in the case of Headhunter, yes. Out of cover damage doesn't scale with the bonus HH damage, while DTH does, so in this specific case, it's better.
@@swift4010 Just start playing sniper due to large areas in legendary manning zoo. Getting bored as striker spamming bullets. Sniper is more tactic, requires patiences and position. Sniper is used to be trash, now with headhunter and determine, and 3 recently buffed snipers SR-1, Carbine, m700, sniper can finally work, the easy kill chain is magic. Only thing left is how to boost my first shot against chungus and other helmet ememies. Achilles pulse, and now health damage may help. I used to think health damage is trash roll on weapons. Got to keep a secondary sniper with health damage. See if it works better. Thanks.
@@simonsaid6682 don't forget, you can quickly build your HH by getting a single kill with your TAC-50 and then switching to your Model 700. Or just use the TAC-50 to crack the helmets if you have the ammo for it.

But, if he meant first person to do it, you're WAY too late :P but if he meant taking first place, that's definitely doable. I've theorized based on how I've progressed through the mission since the MMR buffs that I could get this time down to somewhere between 30-35 minutes, but I haven't put in the time required to practice for it on the new build. And technically there are skips you can do in the mission to bypass some fights, which would be the easiest way to beat this time, but this attempt was about doing no skips.
yeah just 1st on the leaderboard, time to beat is 33 minutes on PSN, you think theres any areas were all red striker would be better than hotshot?
@@OverRyte yes, 8:35 There's a video on UA-cam of someone from Asia getting a faster time for the mission using a Strikers + Elmo's build, but comparing each room I do each one faster than they do, with the exception of the one I just mentioned. The only reason there's is faster overall is because they used the hovercraft skip The reason that room is faster on a Strikers build is because of the excessive amount of robots and heavies, which Strikers is good at, and Headhunter is not, since you have to keep building it back up. Part of my personal challenge though was to do the whole mission with a sniper build, and still beat the world record (at the time), without having to use the skips either.
Must be fun to play with a cheater set
Are you calling Determined cheating? Or Hotshot for the free reloads? Or are you claiming some sort of aimbot because that's wildly untrue, I miss a huge amount of shots in this video for any of that to be going on. Honestly it just sounds like you're upset because of someone else's success. Not a good look.
@@swift4010 Determined talent is like cheating, sorry. You don't have to be able to do anything except kill your opponent with body shots. The bonus from Hotshot has nothing to do with this. And I don't begrudge you for making Tidal Basin legendary.
@@David_Jupiter if this was made a month after the talent got released, maybe you'd have a point. But we've had determined for over a year now. Which marksman rifle is this? Did you mod the Determined talent on it?
Hey, so this was done a while ago with the White Death, which was the strongest choice at the time. However the Model 700 is now a stronger gun after the buffs to sniper rifles. And yes, I recalibrated it to have Determined and Damage to Health (to help break the Heavy's helmets)

Hi Swift4010. Im from sweden :) Im woundering what you are using for red and blue attrebutes on your backpack and on your chest belstone Armory?? in that sniper build you had in legendary district union area.for 1 year ago :)It's a hotshot build, but thoes two Belstone Armory im interested in :)
Hey, so those two pieces of Belstone have blue Armor core attributes, and Headshot Damage as one of the secondary attributes. The other secondary attribute doesn't matter, so it can be whatever you'd prefer. You can go for Weapon Handling, Critical Hit Chance, or even Armor Regen or Skill Haste, either way it won't have a big impact on the build. This build is plenty strong to handle solo Legendary difficulty elites. The build I use now uses all red Damage attributes, but that's because it's designed for speed running, but I recommend the two Armor core attributes for regular gameplay.

what I don't understand with all of you who upload videos to tidal on legendary is how it happens and the opponents don't attack you (I think that one decoy is not enough for that)... no drones no rush from the npcs... something doesn't seem right
It's target prioritization. If you notice, in almost every encounter, I shoot the drone operators first, or spawn kill it when it enters the fight. If killing them all first isn't possible, then I throw out the decoy, and kill them before the decoy expires. Same goes with grenade operators, killing them before they get their first shot off is crucial. Mini tanks don't launch grenades if their operator is dead, so taking them out early is also important. And of course killing medics before they revive all of those other enemy types I mentioned is pretty critical too. When you're killing the enemies fast enough, they don't get a chance to begin the spam. But trust me from the literal hundreds of failed attempts, they certainly are just as aggressive if they get the chance. If I mess up and don't get some of the kills at the exact right time, I become completely overwhelmed with the spam and it's practically instant death. The videos you see posted are just the best runs people do. If you want to see what it's like the other 95% of the time, watch someone live stream their Tidal attempts, and you'll see how quickly you can die if you mess up.
And to add to that, the AI in legendary missions is different than the AI from all the other content. They know if your health is low, or if you're reloading, and will push you aggressively as soon as you start to struggle and take cover to pop a medkit. So if you can keep the killing spree momentum going, they're "smart enough" not to jump out of cover and rush your position, and instead take cover and try to wait until a good moment to push up. But with the bonus armor and the ammo refill from Bloodsucker and Hotshot, the NPCs never get that chance.
@@swift4010 Well, if I understood correctly what you are telling me, that in order to upload this successful video, you have failed in many attempts before
@@piosmoreIAmSick even saying "many" is a complete understatement. I had been practicing this mission for about 6-8 hours every weekend for the 8-10 months leading up to posting this. I set the world record at around 55 minutes many months ago, and then an unconfirmed video was posted showing someone from Asia completing it in about 46 minutes, using skips to bypass certain enemies in the mission. Even though it wasn't submitted as an official speed run, I knew I could do better if I kept practicing, even without skipping any enemies. That eventually led to this video. And now that there's new sniper rifle changes in the game, I've started practicing again to beat my old record.
Can you tell me how you one shot the boss? I already made the build and gonna try this myself (kinda new to sniping).
The Achilles Pulse skill adds a headshot damage multiplier to whatever body part it marks. So if the head gets marked, it gets the headshot multiplier added twice. That, in addition to the damage buff from Headhunter and the powerful exotic Nemesis, is enough to one-shot the boss
Ah, back when the determined talent was broken as hell lmao. Absolutely loved my one shot pistol build. Stack up on a couple reds and then just one shot everything. Only annoying thing was hyenas with helmets, who would interrupt your streak. That build was super fun, but all cheesy things eventually come to an end lol.
This is the current state of Determined. They tried to balance it, and completely broke the talent, so they decided it wasn't actually too powerful in the first place, and reverted it back to what it was before.
@@swift4010 So wait, it is back to being as long as you kill the enemy with one shot, every shot counts as a headshot? I play only on rare occasions now, but I'm about to go try that out next time.
@@crx122 yes that's correct, the nerf lasted about a month, but it was so bugged that it would disable itself want time your skills were destroyed, or any enemy died to a status effect, so the put it back and said "we'll keep all eye on it and try to do a different nerf later if we need to", and that was like a year ago.

The enemies are the same on console and PC. If you watch carefully at the start, I kill the heavy in the first couple of shots, and then kill the sniper dog first, which explodes in an EMP which disables the second robot dog. The way these missions work, is if you manage to kill the enemies fast enough, you can kill the most dangerous targets first, so that the rest of the fight becomes easier. You'll see I target grenade launcher enemies and drone enemies as soon as possible, as well as medics before they have a chance to revive anyone, and mini tank operators before they have a chance to hide. The only advantage playing on PC gives me is that it's easier to snipe on PC, but there are many other videos out there of people doing this mission on console using other weapons.

@@aaronsinspirationdaily4896 2825 actually lol But thank you for the acknowledgement. It's easy for people to dismiss this kind of stuff as illegitimate because they don't see the work that goes on behind the scenes. I spent a full 8 hour day every Saturday for 8 solid months, playing only this mission. Running this speed run build, going as fast as I could, I actually only beat the mission 3 times. Each time I beat it, I spent hours rewatching old footage, and analyzing my own gameplay to find flaws and figure out new faster ways to do things. There's a reason this mission has such a long speed run time, and this record has gone relatively uncontested for quite a while. It's a lot, and a lot of work. I recognized though that with the enemies all being elites and purples, the fastest way to do this mission would be with a sniper build, and if anyone was going to do it, who else but me? So thank you again, it means a lot :)
Watching fast forward running always gets a laugh outta me. But another phenomenal display.

where do you shoot the mini tanks to basically one shot them? Have been trying to work that out. If I ever will do a solo legendary this is the way i could do it
It's not about "where", it's about "how". When you have Headhunter charged up and Determined activated, your shot on a robot will mostly bypass their armor, and your shot will be a "headshot" despite the fact that the robots don't have head hitboxes. If you don't have Determined active, you can still shoot the robot dogs in the leg to bypass their armor with Headhunter.
@@swift4010 OK understood! Thanks! Shoot some ads get everything charged and then try to get a shot on the mini tanks. I know about the dogs, but those mini tanks at the beginning of district union keep getting me. Impressive run. Still have a long way to go leveling up though...
@@coconatti For the minitanks, honestly your decoy is your best friend. As long as you kill every other enemy in the room they just self destruct at the end, so I usually don't bother wasting my headhunter stacks on them. As long as you've killed their operator, they only sit still and shoot bullets, they no longer move, shoot grenades, or flash you, so they're easier to play around

Any chance you're able to detail the name and the perks on that backpack equipped? I have a similar build with that White Death except with DMG to targets out of cover maxed out.
It's the Liquid Engineer backpack with Perfect Bloodsucker, weapon damage, headshot damage, and I think armor regen? Although the last attributes isn't as important. Also a headshot damage mod. Also, Damage to Targets Out Of Cover isn't a good attribute for a Headhunter build, because it doesn't scale with the headhunter damage, which is the main source of your damage. I use DTA almost always, except for this solo build where I already have enough damage to one-shot the elites so I use DTH to more easily break the helmets of the Heavies.

Thanks! I know that if I played the other areas better and beat the boss first try, I could get my time under 35 minutes. That's the dream, but even my patience has limits lol Take a look at your damage on your solo sniper build, and you might find you're significantly overkilling your targets, and can add some armor on kill into your build to get some more survivability and therefore killing power.
