Briggs Auto Choke fix.....Modification.
tired of dealing with this briggs auto choke thermostat failures.
it leaves the choke butterfly partially loose causing the butterfly to flutter and cause poor running.

a long vid.....I'm sorry but it's a 2 hour process to make these glitches work properly.There is alot to pay attention too.The Row Boat and Arthur are the best options. bring plenty food and whiskey,rifle with a scope is a must. please like if it was helpful

Does the engine come with the complete setup are do you have to buy the long tail part all separate and build yourself ?
@joshuaverdin2160 the frame is a GoDevil brand longtail Engine is seprate. GoDevil sells them with other engines for about $4000
It’s 20 lbs heavier then a 420 not 2 . Thank you for the review I can’t make my mind up which to buy for my 1436

Hi I am going to do a build like this what I am going to do is bolt the motor and jack shaft to one plate so the belt dose not have to move.
@stevenpleasant5834 Then as the belt wears and stretches there will be no adjust to continue using the belt. If you adjust as it wears you can 90% more life out of the belt. Non adjustable you replace the belt when it wears and slips

@mrbrettdimarco it's a home made 14x40 crawfish skiff with 20" sides. It was a tank.
My friend laughs at me with what I carry in a toolbox. But I tell him that if your in the backwoods, it's better to be safe than sorry. Wrenches, sockets, cutters, pliers, extra wire/crimps/tape, extra fuel pump, 2 extra props, jb weld steel stick, 2 spark plugs, carb cleaner, utility blade, rags, and flashlight with extra batteries.

Nice setup. However, the oil for bearing and piston ring lubrication on weedEaters, is mixed into and spread by the fuel. How do you mix oil with propane in a pressurized tank? I don't think this is a 2-cycle, weedEater engine.

You throw a mikuni carb and air intake with the custom exhaust makes that 459 into a beast

No I bought it and modified it.
I got my 14ft flat bottom with a 459 and a long tail up to 27 with an 8.5” prop
Must be a Thai longtail. No steel frame Godevil will go that fast.
Would a 9” prop make it faster?
What length shaft? And how wide is your boat? I can’t decide between a 420 or a 459 for my 1436
@themuddman2038 no a 9" prop is for 20-30 horsepower.The 459cc can't swing it.
@FredDaddi this on was a 5 foot shaft. I prefer a 6 foot shaft. The 459 is a lil more horsepower in stock form.I perfer the 459. If your building a performance engine go 420cc as there are more parts avalible.

Looks like a go-kart transmission. Do an online search. They are fairly cheap and easy to find.

CVT belt shouldn't need adjustment. Nice build.
As belts stretch.......you slide the engine foward. An atv cvt belt doesn't need adjustments. These belts do

I do not have it any more but it's a ground wire to the block and the positive to the starter solonoid The start switch on the motor is already wired up

Did you adjust the idle on that? I’ve got a 459 and the idle speed is way high and it makes me push a serious wake even at idle.
Yes you have to adjust all engines to idle how you need them

@randomperson32ftw It's a Lil black plastic Phillips screw on the left side of the carburator Losen while running it to lower the idle speed. Too low of an idle it will die under load
Why not mount the motor solid and just make the tail swivel ?? Just make your control arm go over the top of the motor
Thats overly complicated and will make these set ups less versatile and balanced
There are sets up like that in the USA and some crude ones in 3rd world countries
