LCD indicator on a freighter?

Not every day you see a monitor style indicator on a freight elevator. Also strange the rear door/gate is smaller than the front.

seeing a floor indicator like that one on a freight is pretty mind boggling

Honestly, this mod was a waste of money, a much cheaper option would have been to just replace the doors, like Tacoma Mall. Fortunately as of June 2024, its freight elevator is still original!

Gage and I had something very similar happen to us at the Fairfield Inn & Suites off of OH-161 in New Albany, Ohio. But when the manager followed us to our car to capture the plates to "report us to the cops", Gage actually tried to block her from getting the plate number, but we eventually left after Gage called her an "Entitled Karen". After that hellish experience, we never plan on going back there again.

I'm glad you handled the situation well. If I was confronted by her, I would have requested the manager and told them that I was only filming the elevator. If she had asked me to leave, I would have said okay.

You are actually the elevator operator! Samuel Schneider maked elevator operator day in their school. I will make in my school at Finland. Elevator operator day means event, when the elevator has an elevator enthusiast as an operator. Typically the enthusiast has uniform. And the enthusiast work with full performance: ask what floor, press floor and door close buttons, travel with the passengers, says the floor number and hold door open button and the passengers says thank you. The elevator called automatically and the operator automatically stops floors when someone called. Do not hold door open all the time because anybody can't call and get the elevator. Close the doors regularly and when the elevator don't move, open again or stand at the elevator with closed doors. You can place a seat, ergomat and other personal accesories (like water bottle) at the elevator. Uniform you can assembly at second hand shops.

It pisses me off when these authoritarian jerks do these things, and the fact that the elevator had a VERY epic motor just fuels my fire. The establishment already has about 95% of their reviews being very negative, and the way you both were treated today just about sums it up.

I know I am in the minority for saying this, but I actually think the woman was well within her rights to behave the way she did in getting you off the property. If there was a sign that clearly said no trespassing, no matter how hard the sign is to read, you should obey that and maybe not film the elevator in the property. It’s not worth the risk especially for a grungy elevator like this. While she had no right to ask you to delete your footage as it is your property, you should have at least considered that this interaction would have been a possibility given the no trespassing sign. Elevator photography may be frowned upon, since the majority of people do not know what it is, however, there are many steps and precautions you can take to avoid being confronted, such as watching for clear signs that may indicate to a confrontation such as security cameras inside an elevator, and clearly posted signs like no trespassing.
