AMAZING!!
What an amazingly done performance by the DJembe Duo. I have performed this piece many times with different Wind Ensembles and love it, But your Wind Ensemble is a very nice professional sounding group. Mazel Tov to this wonderful conductor who kept you guys all spot on especially in the 5/8 parts. How many times have i seen everyone try to get the 5/8 by counting it out as phonetically saying Hotdog = 2 , Hamburger =3 A.K.A. 2 + 3. I'm very Impressed with how well you guys show such musical maturity at a very young of middle school. Darcy Williams I hope the school district you're in Gives you a financial raise, and THEY NEED to keep funding all music performance programs in all schools of your district. I'm tired of seeing music programs axed due to S.T.E.M. this and other programs that the district feels are better. This is the future of our next musicians, when I retire I want music to survive not die away with no care towards it. Thank you Maestro Williams for crafting these future professional musicians and kudos to great conducting too. Excellent work to the percussion section also.
Hi Mrs williams
Wow 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Really wonderful sounding MS band! Please keep up the great work.
Warm balanced sound, good intonation, clear articulation, smoothing running notes in the counter melody. A thoroughly enjoyable performance. 🎉
Middle schoolers 😭. Not the trumpets hitting high Cs😭😭😭
the trumpet section was pretty good if i do say so myself 🥱
Absolutely genius,
Yall did great! Congrats on all ones!
My band teacher showed me this at school, I feel judged😭
When a middle school band is better than your highschool band 🥲
Have you ever done Ross Roy by Jacob De Haan?
The kids are great reflection of your talent and experience Darcy! You make our profession a great one.

Fantastic, mature tone and precision from a middle school group. Very tasteful approach from percussion. Clearly some great teaching and a great system in place.
The band sounds really cool
I did this before
Really,
When instruments go home and actually come out of the cases during Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring break
At 23.41 it says the number of beats is 6 and number of pulses as 8. If I follow the other examples shouldn't that be 12 pulses?
I was wondering the exact same thing!
I am entering highschool, my years of band were So awsome, and I will always miss band,
My middle school could never 💀
middle schoolers on bass tbn? texas is something else...
I thought that was normal
@@NiksoGaming2000 Even in Texas, Leander is one of only a handful of regions across the state that hosts a Bass Trombone room for MS All-Region contest. It's very unusual to put MS kids on Bass Trombone.

DAMN!!! They played that like a Boss!! Puts many HS bands to shame and some college bands too :)
I mean my high-school played Chopin perfectly so I dont see the issue here?
I remember doing this song in 6th grade
Thank you for doing this depth of research!!! So Awesome!!
What a nice performance! Thanks for posting this for all of us to hear.
The editing was superb. Going to copy it myself!!!!
