Gulden Draak Gives You Super Fly Catching Speed

I caught a fly with my bare left (off) hand after having my first sip of Gulden Draak ever. Gulden Draak is now my favorite beer. It imbued me with super powers.
Survivors (a simple inspirational song about natural selection) (acoustic original)
Переглядів 1 тис.13 років тому
I wrote this in 2011. My goal was to write a simple and inspirational campfire song that anyone can play, on the theme of evolution. It ended up being more about natural selection. I am pleased, regardless. www.arthurpope.com

I started writing this song in the spring of 2010, a few months after walking away from Christianity. I finished it sometime that winter. www.arthurpope.com

Half & Half (intentionally terrible original rap over Jake Kaufman music)
Do you think the Mesa and Traihead would be to wide for a narrow foot, which often makes finding shoes more difficult than a wide foot?
Yeah, if your trying to find narrow shoes, none of these are it. All these are wider than standard.
@@ArthurPope Thank you.
Hi. I've just discovered Lem's and have a pair of the Primal 2 on order. Curious if you ever got the Mesa or the Trailheads broken in to comfortable levels. I too have freakish hobbit feet and struggle to find shoes I love that don't make me want to die.
I love those boat shoe where can I get those
helpful thanks
*turns computer upside down*
Hahaha! Yeah, I was lazy.
soooo this is what mansplaining is. sweet jesus man.
Huh?
Ah. Definitely a woke bot.
I wear the 9 to 5s with my dress clothes and tirs 5 days a week. The Mariner is my favorite boat shoe. I was pretty upset when they discontinued them. I bought a pair a size too hig just have them as backup for when my 1st pair fail. Could be ten years since I usually wear them on weekends maybe 5 months of the year on the boat...but I do love them.
I also have a wide foot. Would you say the Mesa is better for a wider foot? Would you suggest ordering a 1/2 larger than normal?
They are pretty true to size. I'd start with what they recommend by measuring your feet. Pretty sure they offer free exchanges, if that size doesn't work out.
LOL!…Thanks!
Hi. You can wash your leather shoes with saddle soap.
Have you had any problems in the Mesa with the plastic in the heel breaking?
I haven't had that issue myself. The mesh has started to wear a bit, but I've had them long enough that general wear is to be expected.
@@ArthurPope Good to know, thanks so much for answering!
So would the Mesa would be more of a transitional shoe for someone who has never wore minimalist shoes?
Hard to say, because everyone has a different experience, but I would recommend Lems in general if you're new to it, because their soles tend to be slightly thicker than many other brands, but still give you decent "ground feel." I'm not a barefoot shoe purist, but I wear them as often as I can. I actually have to wear work provided shoes for my new job, which is a bummer. The Mesas are super comfortable for my feet.
Look at their site fairly carefully. The primus 2 is the widest. The Boulder boot, the chillum, and the chukka are slightly narrower and Lems recommends going a half size up on those shoes compared to the primus. They do have a guide for measuring your feet. I have lots of foot issues and have almost always worn shoes with a lot of support and motion control. Decided to try a pair of primus just for the heck of it. Loved them around the house but didn't think I could ever wear them for more than just light indoor use. First time on gravel it was kind of a "how can anyone use these on a daily basis" experience. I've been wearing the Primus a lot. Got some Naboso insoles and have used correct toes. I have increasingly adapted to the Primus and feel they have improved and strengthened my feet and ankles. The Boulder boot and Chillum look like pretty good options to try as a first minimalist shoe. They have a bit more sole thickness and cushion and are bit more conventional. Give yourself time to adapt.
-drinking on a weekend, decides to make video -colorful language -upside-down POV honestly, the best barefoot (non-runner) review i've came across
It being upside-down was an accident. I didn't feel like editing it.
Do your toes touch the ends of any of your shoes? When I tried on the boulder boot my toes touched the ends and the lady working there told me that's normal for barefoot. When I went a size up, the whole shoe was too loose on every part .
Sorry! I must have missed this. Yes, sometimes they do. But not all models. The thickness of your socks can also make a bigger difference than you might expect. I've tried liners, thicker socks, and toe socks, and the results vary from shoe to shoe for me.
between the messa and the trailheads, which one feels more supportive/stable (i have flat feet that tend to overpronate a little)
They are very very similar. They have the exact same sole. The Mesas are a little bit more flexible than the trailheads just because they have more mesh on the uppers. Support-wise I'd give the Trailheads a slight edge over the Mesas, but not by much.
@@ArthurPope cool, thanks!
I have the Primal 2, they are perfect for the summer. Super light and minimal, lots of mesh so your feet keep cool. I'm going to pick up the waterproof Boulders for winter
“Sorry for the language- nah fuckit, I don’t give a fuck.” Hahahahaha love it. Great review man.
I’ve been looking all over the net for the shoes you have on your feet, where did you get those?
www.lemsshoes.com/products/mens-trailhead-hiking-trail-shoe?variant=31339190550586 This color might be out of stock. They did a limited run with these colors.
Hey - any update on the Mesas? I just bought some for my husband with also "aggressively wide" feet :) and he is worried about the width but he loves the shoe. Did they end up loosening for you?
They did a bit, and are now super comfortable for me. Took a couple days. But that's just my feet.
Drinking and talking about Lems. You're a guy I trust. Love you bye
Hahaha! At first I thought you said "You're a gay, I trust." And I was like, "What the fuck?!" Then I read it correctly. Thanks!
Great interview! Thanks for recording and sharing this!
What does he say? "I pictured him going home that night putting the blue jeans in the _ cause there is no washing machine forgetting that there is a check for 1.2 million, I guess they _ him, you know,"
Holy shit lol. This is awesome
U jelly?
oh dear....'-.-
Yeah. This one is a bit rough around the edges. :)
Which is why I love it!!!! :P
Brilliant.
Are you serious. I've been trying to write the greatest the song there ever was AND YOU ALREADY DID IT!!!!! Fuck! Now what? XD
You are too kind. Thank you.
Or just the right amount? ;1
Also, I recorded this with a capo on the 1st fret, so you'll need that to play along with the video, but you can adjust it however you need to after you know it in order to play in a range that you can sing best.
From me! I wrote it with the most basic and simple guitar chords. If you don't know them, just learn how to play G, D, C, C2, Am, and Am7. I think those are all the chords I used. I made sure to get my hands in frame, so if you know those chords, you can just look at my fingers, use your ears, and follow along. Once you get it down, have fun experimenting. Make it even better! Good luck!
Where can I learn to play that
@Flint Eastwood Did you really watch that whole thing?
@Flint Eastwood I intensely desire the knowledge of what your point was.
i'm so glad this video exists to show a point i had.
Thank you, lady. :)
Nice voice!
I did enjoy that! Thanks :)
Yes! You are super welcome, bro! Play the shit out of it! Everywhere!
at 2:26 I was like " Don't F***ing drop em! Don't F***ing drop em!!
@MrARock001 Haha. Not at all, but I can see how one might make that connection. I just wanted to write a moving song about the beauty of evolution, and existence in general. Thank you for your compliments. They are greatly appreciated.

playing 4ed? :)
@graidstin Haha! Yeah, I am in exactly the same boat (or whichever metaphor you prefer). I walked away from Christianity early last year. It has been an interesting road.
I have to say, I think I feel the same way. I am an ex-christan that realized fairly recently the follies of religion. I really feel like my mind is free, and science is so much more rewarding than religion. P.S. My internet is crap so I could only load the first 2 minutes of so.
