I wonder if the batch 11 is tasting and nosing light bc its so low. I have seen at least 5 other side besides that rank 12/11 clearly 1A/1B and distant 3rd being batch 10.

Still haven't tried one of these, maybe someday haha.

Bucket list ultra unicorn tier bottle

Had a chance to try King of Kentucky it was amazing. I put it in my top 3 favorites, definitely a unicorn bottle for me.

ECBP A124

Favorite ECBP batch is A123. Only tried a couple of the recent ones & 1 SiB. Would really like to be a able to try, or get a bottle of, B520 C919 C923 & some pirate bottles or maybe a hazmat ECBP.

Never had these, but like you said, many like C919 as a top batch, along B520.

C920 for me.

Great tournament! I've only started my bourbon journey in the last few months, so have not been lucky enough to try an ECBP, though standard EC SmB is one of my favorites!

Outside of pirate bottles, I really like A120 but that C920 is damn good too.

I still have not had a Barrel Proof EC. I was lucky and got their Toasted Bourbon but I'm pretty sure that was not BP. I keep looking for one bottle at a reasonable price. It would be interesting to do a blind on all Buffalo Trace products regardless of strength and type to find these best of the best that they make.

C923

The only ECBP I've had was a barrel select, and it was outstanding. It was a sample pour. I've never actually seen it on a shelf. But I loved that ounce.

Can't find any, so can't compare those. I have EC Small Batch 1.75ml and an EC Barrel Proof Barrel Select. I like both, but naturally prefer the BPBS. I never win any contest or lottery, but am still a winner. LOL. Would love for this contest to be my first!!!!

I haven’t had any of what you compared but my fave has been a local store pick. I think the bookers battle would be a great idea. Or larceny.

I’m gonna have to setup my own blind with the bottle I have. Wish I could find a pirate.

Another video idea could be go through the final 4 bottles with the other guys from the earlier rounds to see how these all ranked with everyone

Honestly it's a toss up between B518, C920 or C919. Depends on the day as to which is my favorite but can't go wrong with any. Cheers buddy

I like that your reviews, though clearly geared towards whisky folk, are also understandable to those who aren't but who are familiar with other aged spirits. It's clear you're passionate about whisky.

Good episode. Not a whisky person (an artisanal tequila guy), though I'm starting to delve more into experimenting with different types. I do like aged tequila expressions, which often have some similarities with certain whiskies. At the moment, the oaky notes I like in reposado & añejo tequilas I don't quite enjoy as much in bourbon & single malts, but intend to revisit & keep testing different whiskies. I liked that you did this blind with your friend who occasionally has whisky but isn't a whisky nerd because I can relate. Even though you're clearly a whisky connoisseur, I also appreciate how your tasting notes are understandable to a non-expert. Cheers & keep on going!

Only had the 86 and 100 out of the OF line up. The 86 is usually my go to for cocktails. OF will always have a special place in my heart as it’s what my grandfather drank and also what got me into bourbon. Thanks for the opportunity!
