What's up guys! This will be the first segment of my CSL build. I'm really excited about this build because it's something I've wanted to do for a long time. In this video I'll go over all of the first CSL bits I've added to the car and where you can get them. Stay tuned because there will be a part 2 to this build coming very soon!

INTRODUCING MY E82 1M CLONE!

Hey guys here's my 2008 1M clone that I've been building for the last year and a half. A lot of time and effort has been put into this build and now that it's finally coming together I thought I'd share an update on it. As always, thanks for watching and subscribe and give the video a like!

Needs ceramic tint, 20 percent all the way around at least. Protect your interior and look good while staying cool. That black interior is roasting like it's in an oven the leather seats get over 150 degrees on a hot summer day, they're gonna fade and crack the alcantara steering wheel has a worst enemy and it's called the sun. Protect your investment that would've been the first "mod" I would do and you didn't even mention it. Crazy.
^ This! Ceramic tint saved my life and the value of my cars, apparently if your car reaches over 150 degrees on the leather you're required in most states to re-register the car as an oven, which doesn't look good on the car fax. Not to mention the yearly bakers inspection, I would start there then find someone to tint the headlights & tail lights as dark as possible to complete the look! Looking forward to this thing in pt.3!

Oh no way I thought this was a real CSL smh, I saw it said conversion but assumed maybe that was something a little more personal to the OP he would get into in pt.3. Crazy he should just run a Liberty walk kit and big wing,, Maybe some braum seats & muffler delete would be clean! Needs tinted windshield asap

Congrats on the new wheels man! Sorry if you covered this in a previous video, but would you say the interior size of the e46 M3 and the e82 are similar? I bought an e92 M3 and ended up selling it a year later because I thought it was too big inside compared to my e46 m3. I thought I was an M3 guy, but it was more the size for me than anything. Funny I found your channel because of the M3 but the clone is something I've really been thinking about over the past three or four months now.
i'd say its a bit smaller
@@Bob_Sacamano69 Thank you man! They're definitely pretty similar but I think the e82 interior is still a little smaller. The e82 is such a good chassis. If you like the e46 you'll definitely like the e82!

If driving is your priority; 1. Big brake kit 2. Solid steering coupler 3. Upgraded engine and gearbox mounts 4. Coilovers 5. Short shift kit (330d/f10 M5) I'd also suggest polybushing throughout, fitting a purple or black tag rack and then youre pretty much there. It only takes about £7k of mods to make it drive right 😂
So far I have upgraded motor mounts and gearbox mounts, bilstein pss10 coilovers, polyurethane diff mounts, camber plates and stainless steel brake lines. Car feels really solid but definitely could use a set of better brakes.
Hey brother, I have an e46 M3 myself and just wrapped up 95% of the performance items I wanted to take care of. My next project are buying and installing some Pole Positions. What mounts and sliders did you use? What did you do for the air bag light? That has been a endless rabbit hole of some people saying certain kits suck and they mess up your seating position. Thanks man, I really appreciate any feedback you could give.
I'm running pci fixed mounts, no sliders. I ran sliders on my last set of pole postions and honestly wasn't a fan. As for the airbag light I just have the light on, didn't do anything for that. Honestly doesn't really bother me.

Do you have the CSL suspension?
I have bilstein pss10 coilovers. Much better than csl suspension
@@Allmotor1m Interesting. I have a Comp and have been thinking of upgrading to a CSL suspension but you think coilovers are a better route? Have you driven the CSL suspension for comparison?
@@JayB8319 Absolutely, I've never tested the stock csl suspension but pretty sure it's just slightly stiffer shocks/struts/springs and different sway bars and since you have a comp car you already have the upgraded steering rack. Coilovers are always going to be better than any struts/shocks setup, especially for spirited driving. Just have to make sure you go with a good set. I definitely recommend the bilstein pss10's.

M3 CSL Pure driving machine, perfect car.When the m3 csl speed approaches 7900 RPM, the tachometer should have yellow signal light flashing to indicate upshifting, right? I watched some videos and sometimes the yellow signal light is on, and sometimes it is not. I want to know why? Thank you.
The shift light indicator only came in smg cars unfortunately

Hi, such a nice job man ! I’ve always wondered how long wide panels would last if painted as you’ve done, I mean you hide the screws with some putty I guess ? Does it still looks good months / years later ? I fear it can crack as it’s not a « single part » piece…
Appreciate that man! The flares were moldy to the body and my body guy did a really good job at making everything was done right since I told him I do plan on tracking the car. It's been about 2 years since I had it done and everything is still perfect. As long as its done properly and you'll be good

hi, where did you get the rear fenders for the 1M?
You can run oem 1m fenders or flares. I'm running jay flares made by a guy on the forums. I don't believe he makes them anymore though

Really appreciate it man! I had to piece everything together. I had my local bmw dealership help me source the bumpers, front fenders and side skirts. A lot of those were actually very hard to get online. Then the rear fenders are jay flares. Don't believe he makes them anymore though.
what size are tires and did you add spacers ( looks like it ) and size ...thanks
What's up man, I'm running 235/35's up in front and 265/30's in the rear. As for spacers I'm running a 25mm up front and a 12 in the rear

Schönes Auto....ich fahre einen 120D E82 Prior Breitbau....mit 20" Felgen ....Stage 1.....habe auch noch die Motorhaube mit Hutze....
You need to do headers. The exhaust sounds awful with the catted headers. Get euro cats (section 1) to keep it OE.
I think the exhaust sounds perfect. Status gruppe v1 is one of the best sounding section 3's in my opinion and the car now has a csl airbox so it's the best of both worlds. I am planning on doing euro headers eventually with this car because it's going to be a comple csl replica when I'm done.

They're the Jay flares from jay meadows. Not sure if he still makes them but I found him on the 1addicts forums

Most similar to the factory csl intake is the Karbonious intake. Turner has the trumpet end
The karbonius one is definitely a little closer to oem but I don't think they make it anymore

I like your garage mine has holes and rats i poisoned the fuck out of them but they still come back but I’m in control now i live in yamba nsw I just did another 1000ks in my 1M . I’m moving back out to my farm if you ever decide you would like to come to OZ I will give you my car to try for a day I love what you do I’m probably your old man’s age i have heaps of time on my hands and I live right under the best mountain drivers road in OZ
