Cyberpunk Was ALWAYS Great

Phantom Liberty and 2.0 didn't save this game, it just reminded everyone what Night City was all along, even in 2020 - This game was ahead of its time when it comes to awful launches (now a bad launch is basically industry standard) but if you toughed it out all the way back then, you knew that it was always amazing at its core, and everyone sees that now - Thanks for watching! Baldur's Gate 3 RUINED RPGs For Me!

I never really cared about DnD, that was until Baldur's Gate 3 put its DnMe - This game changed the way I look at RPGs. I played Starfield right after, safe to say I was a bit disappointed - CyberPunk 2077 video is almost ready to go so I'll probably get that out a couple weeks, or sooner if people seem to want it - Thanks for watching! - 0:00 Intro 3:12 Character Creation 5:44 Gameplay Mechani...
Damn. I was gonna play the game but the dude spoils the whole game! Lol
Adding to the controlling thing for lock picking. I had beaten the game and maxed out most skills, and I still required easy lock picking on.
But bro, what do you even BUY IN MEDIEVAL for such a money 😅!? You just cant build a castle with it, in that time wasnt that much for spend money for.
i installed some mods to fix the combat
On my 3rd playthru right now and I can’t believe I’ve never done the Johanka quests! Do they start after you do Theresa’s part in A Womans Lot?
If u are a cod twitch shooter u wont like it.u need patience
Need more rpg's like this. I would absolutely LOVE a game just like this (more polished) in a feudal japan society as a ronin or samurai of sorts as well. Absolutely love the game, and the combat system is actually really neat. I am glad it is so shit at the start as it really showed the characters progression as much as it does the players and feels really nice. You practically feel the struggle and accomplishment in an immersive way like you were henry going through it, excluding the exhaustion. Everything is really grounded and the combat really starts to pop off once your henry starts to get a hang of it. Very unique and fun gameplay. This is like experiencing my favorite elder scrolls and fallouts of the past type of open world and progression. I think the biggest issue it had was that it didn't really set players expectations, players did not exactly realize just what it was going for and what to expect. Players just jumped in used to modern games, and got what was a slow burn immersive game that starts you as a genuinely clueless peasant that needs to learn the skills he needs and train them to be competent at them. Once you got into the rhythm it was fantastic. For a indie dev that had to go crowdfunding because it couldn't get any funding to accomplish what it did on the scale it did is amazing. Sure clunky, but that is to be expected with that level of studio and budget. Actually better than a great many currently released with far less experience and money. Now, all that it has earned is going to a sequel that is essential the same type of game but brought further, more polished, and refined. I absolutely cannot wait. The performance is fantastic now, combat immensely more polished and smooth. I think they literally had just one guy animating it all originally, poor guys got backup now. I didn't even know we could get a dog, or fight the forest people. Finishing my long ass first playthrough and seems I still have plenty to go find. xD
sneaking in full plate armor and chain mail and u complain why they catched u all that rattling from armor can be heard far far away especialy at night when there is only animals make sound, combat slowdowns are there so you can get info about your position and next impending attack and relly welcome in this hard combat system im prettly sure sequal wont be so welcoming and relly u should use mace ! one more thing i think you are redy for hardcore with all negative perks then from the ashes will be much more useful after completing hardcore review it again, Farewell Sir !
Hell no, it was fine just the way it was, and people better not think that combat should be for casuals or this shit is gonna eventually turn out like veilguard. Git gud, scrub
I disagree that the choice of Orzammar's king is clear cut. By picking Harrowmont you leave the cast system in place. While he may on the surface seem like a nicer guy the way the casteless are treated is terrible. Especially when they can be born into it through no fault of their own. So as a good 'guy' (female gamer but never mind) I pick Bhelen. He's a nasty SOB but he removes the caste system and opens up trade which is better for the dwarfs in the long term. So to me the worst evil would be letting casteless children suffer and starve -which you get a taste of in that tiny Dustown quest.
First time I played DAO I hated the fade part, so much so I modded it out. By a third play through I kind of missed it and removed the mod and enjoyed it. I think first play through, for me anyways, was more the confusion of it. Once you understand it and are not hopelessly lost and going in circles, the fade part becomes more of an enjoyable challenge.
The dwarves king choice isn’t that obvious. Bhelan is a murderous asshole yeah, but he’s also a reformer. He want to abolish the cast system and open more to the surface things that are absolutely needed for Orzamar survival long term. Harrowmont is a conservative status quo guy who wants to keep things as they are. Which is foolish since the dwarves are fighting a perpetual war that they are slowly loosing.
I actually realized this after I made the video. I think I must have started with a biased because of how crazy Bhelan looked and mostly wrote him off, but after watching some video after the fact, it seems like Bhelens views are much more progressive towards changing Orzammar for the better, while Harrowmont is stuck in the past, so thats definitely my bad for missing that in real time
@ it’s easy to miss i guess since he does come off as a moustache twirling villain
The combat style is called Real time with pause and it’s kind of misnomer, it’s actually turn based but it’s hidden. They actually innovated this system with Baldur’s Gate 1. Considering how BG3 is a massive miles stone but is fully turn based it would be an interesting fact mentioning. In fact Dragon Age Origins was marketed as a Baldur’s Gate spiritual successor
That makes a ton of sense, I've never played the BG1 but from videos I've seen, I can see the inspiration. I really liked the combat in general but I do feel like turn based just works better for me personally, but to each their own!
congrats you are now Right about kingdom come deliverance
I love the NPC's in this game. So many modern games have NPCs that are forgetful, but in KCD, they keep on making me laugh or sympathize with. For example, when the captain sees your archery skills, he says "Well, that was awful. I didn't imagine a village yokel like you would have much skill, but you failed to meet even my low expectations" I almost spit out my coffee laughing at that. It really shows how much of a peasant you are, which adds character. Most modern games have NPCs swarming over you and telling you how great you are. Not this game. You're an illiterate peasant, and that adds a lot of realism and character you just don't see in games today.
15:07 few im good
I am very late on this one but I am happy your back as long as they keep being this good I don't mind how long they take
But i will be honest this video was very different to your others the humour is just different not worse but different in a way i cant pinpoint.
I'm glad you liked it, thanks for always supporting!
@PatrickFinney Its more me just coming more into my own with making videos and getting more comfortable, slight things will change as a I go on!
@NokayYT while I do love your stuff, I have always wanted to have a UA-camr that I found on their first day to be a "number one fan" so that I can one day say "been here since day one"
@PatrickFinney I'm glad to hear it! Thank you for supporting then!
wrong and stupid
I’m atheists but I really enjoyed seeing how important religion was in day to day life in that time period
Guys if you are shit at games like me. If you play on PC try Wemod out for an easy way to cheat
me a master lockpick get drunk first its actually pretty simple there's a perk just for it
When i first saw the trailer i told all my friends about it back then because i was so stunned by the realism inside the game then i got my hands on it and loved every minute of it i am super excited for KCD2
cant believe you only have 1k subs! you earned mine cuz this is the exact depth I was looking for! Ive had this game for like over a year and I gave up shortly after the prologue. When it comes to open world/RPGs the only games I consider great are the witcher 3 mafia 2 cyberpunk and sleeping dogs. I want this to be a game in my library that I have many hours on and I know I could do it when I commit! ty for your thoughts on this to give me motivation and understanding I need to get to a point where I have my footing in the world and can enjoy whats goin on in the world and story.
Is it worth $4 ?
nice vid! just cant agree with any of the combat takes but the rest was good! also money has alot of uses but if ya have 260k that props meaned ya went out and robed some of the traders or armorys or spent alot of time looting, and in the late game ya can spend money on your village which is where most of your money will go at that point
18:25 you can get into the camp as a fresh bandit recruit by becoming mates with Morcock(he is one of the bandits you meet at the windmill west of Talmberg),and see this exact cutscene, cause you can walk freely through the bandits camp
MAGA Make America Godly Again... One of my favorite lines comes from Theresa when she "rescues" Henry in Skalitz. I do love this game and am eagerly looking forward to KCD 2.
Great video! But just a minor thing: I think you missed a point about the Masquerade mission. It's not that Henry can't tell them what Cumans look like. The point is that it doesn't matter what Cumans actually look like - what matters is what people THINK cumans look like. So, although the costume is obviously inauthentic, the peasants won't know that.
Nah if yall sucked at lock picking on control you have zero coordination with ya fingers 😂
The combat feels great to me. Once you start pulling off combos, feigns, and perfect blocks, it feels good. No flashy magic or wild moves. Just oldschool melee combat. Reading the enemy, predicting their moves, having to get into their rhythm... no other game combat like it.
its a sad day when we make wrong decisions about games ... seems there hope for you .. 👍 video ....
Game was boring to DEATH 😂 ♾️ 💤
The lock picking on controller has a simplified option in the settings
Tnx I will search for that, it's been a pain so far.....
@@Axolotecojoit's still quite hard but not as bad
KCD does so many things right that other RPG's can only dream of
20:52 I remember this quest, and the way I figured out who what Pious made me feel incredibly smart and something I pieced together without having to talk to anyone. The ending to the quest was also really interesting
I started or tried playing this on XSX and lock picking is Impossible!! On controller. On PC its super EZ BUT i still use the controller to move the wheel and the mouse to hold the icon.
Henry goes from a peasant to a WMD
bro the combat is my favorite part of the game. it just feels so gritty and satisfying when you get it right, I can't wait for KCD 2 man.
There is a hidden easy mode in the game. But it take a lot of grinding. Essentially, what you want to do is stay in the tutorial area. Pickpocket everyone, pick up a bunch of plants, steal a bunch of stuff and put in in your parent's house chest. Once you do that for multiple hours, essentially exploiting the entire tutorial section, you can start the story and then once free roam is available, go back and take everything from the chest and sell it. There's a more detailed version of this explanation if you look up how to start in KCD perfectly either on UA-cam or the internet, as this is kind of common knowledge up to this point. P s. This DOES NOT take away the experience of KCD. You'll still be a noob, especially in combat and reading/alchemy (among other things) but it will give you a good boosting start where you have lots of money, and some stealth/general skills. It makes the starting area for anyone who is new to the game a lot more easy, and therefore, satisfying. But... you have to grind sadly. Put on a podcast, and go at it for a few hours until you feel like you wiped out the tutorial area for all its worth. Cheers.
You, my friend, are cringe incarnated.
Woman's Lot helped me to understand Henry and Theresa's relationship better. Before that, I thought they were together because they were clinging to the remainders of their normal life. But after the DLC, I realized there was always a mutual attraction between the two but Henry couldn't make a move because Theresa's father wouldn't let them be together.
Bianca????
It's such a unique gem of a game. You can't get the kind of experience anywhere else.
I have to say I agree; I just started playing and was shocked how I couldn't fight worth a snot :D But it makes total sense, Henry really is a zero to begin with! :) Looking forward to my full playthrough.
I bet the devs found some inspiration in Mount & Blade too. I kinda liked the fight style in it and this reminds me of it.
if theres 5 or less enemies its a skill issue but when theres like 8 enemies you can just run away or pick them off from a distance with a bow
This game feels like Oblivion 2. Without the magic stuff of course.
Everyone's gotta grow up and become a man. Henry taught us that.
Unfortunately, it comes down to majority of people these days want instant gratification and easy. Instead of a worth while experience that challenge you.
woman's lot took me by surprise, but it's absolutely fantastic
Two missions really stand out for me and that was drinking with a priest and monk monastery. Really liked those
